AVOID!! And also any company run by Christopher McLeod!!
Both us AND our daughter had a house of doors and windows replaced by Transparent Windows, owned by Christopher McLeod, in January 2024.
We had numerous issues with both houses windows and doors. After sales service is terrible. Daughter has been waiting since February 2024 for a replacement catch on her patio door and had lots of appointments to replace it booked and then cancelled by Transparent. They then did not respond to calls, messages or texts.
Christopher McLeod has now sought to VOLUNTARILY DISSOLVE the company AND OPEN A NEW ONE!! Despite the assurances of being insurance backed, our issues remain outstanding. No contact at all.
He blamed the staff and the fitters amongst other excuses.

Reality is, it's HIS company and the staff and fitters were not to blame. Really bad experience and I hope this review prevents someone else having this terrible experience.
It's unbelievable that he can walk away from existing customer issues, dissolve Transparent Windows and just start a new company. Disgusting!!

We had windows and doors installed just over 2 years ago. We were assured anytime there was any problems someone would come straight out to fix them. I have been contacting them since August about issues with 2 windows and was assured someone would call me back to get an appointment booked in. I haven't heard anything from anyone for weeks despite repeatedly calling and leaving messages, disappointing service

Really pleased with our windows but we have concerns with the internal sills. Attempts to contact the office have been unsuccessful.

UPDATE: Now has an application to be struck off with companies house. Had a great looking patio door fitted in October this year. Doing some work in the garden I noticed that there are gaps under the sill that are through to the house. Spoke to Leanne and was promised someone would come and sort it. Great.
Nearly 3 weeks on and I can no longer get through to them on the phone despite multiple voicemails. Emails to their info(at)transparentwindows.co.uk address are getting rejected and their facebook page has been removed.
Looking again at the window some of the sealant has started to come away on the door and on the wooden surround.
Searching for correspondence on the 10 year warranty, it hasn't been sent to us.

I'm not sure if this company is still trading. They did a good job although it took a long time. I've been waiting on them completing the job but phone call and emails are going unanswered.

We have just had all our windows and front doors replaced. Excellent service from all involved. Leanne in the office kept in touch throughout to make sure we were happy and that all was going smoothly. Also thanks to Darren who worked so hard and efficiently to fit our windows. A high quality job with great customer service.

Was an easy process from start to finish. Was kept up to date by the support staff and the fitters did an excellent job. Am very pleased with my new front door / looks great and I feel confident in its security plus I am now draught free!

Really pleased with my windows the joiners went that extra mile to make the finish exceptional. Would recommend to anyone.

Some problems with communicating with company only minor drawback. The installation was excellent as is the product. They were careful with my property and kept me informed of progress. Very happy with my windows and patio doors .Would recommend

Transparent Windows did a great job replacing all the windows in our bungalow, including a difficult bathroom window, which we are delighted with; so much so we got them back to replace our external doors.
From beginning to end we were impressed with everyone on the team, from Derek who knocked on our door to introduce the company, Neil the salesman whose knowledge and professionalism inspired confidence and gave us a very competitive price. Leanne in the office kept us informed about when the job would be done and then Ross Reece and Andy. All did a great job, so professional and tidied upas they went.

This company did a first class job in replacing the front windows in our town house. The company rep clearly explained the possible choices and ordering timescale. The installer worked hard over two days and made sure to leave each room clean and tidy. we are very pleased with the quality of the product and of the work.

I can’t believe the speed of this company from booking an appointment to measuring up for windows, checks , by phone and in person and fitting windows cleanly and expertly. What a joy it was to not be stressed out waiting for tradesmen !

Very professional company good communication and good and flexible fitting process listened very carefully to our requirements and timescales.

Just had two windows replaced in the kitchen. Thought price a bit expensive but well worth it as the boys did an excellent job and were extremely clean, tidy and friendly as well as working flat out to finish the job. Would recommend to anybody

Would recommend transparent windows, price was very reasonable for my 3 windows.Ross and Reice were very professional. Pleasant lads finished the job to perfection and cleaned up afterwards. Very happy with my new windows and certainly warmer. 😊

Nothing transparent about this company apart from the fact they are chancers, over charged an elderly relative, would avoid at all cost!!!!!

I recently used Transparent windows to replace all my windows and both my doors. All staff were friendly and knowledgeable and helped me pick the perfect doors to compliment my new grey windows. The installation team were fantastic and worked flat out to complete the job. They even cleaned up after themself. From the original point of contact through to completion nothing was too much trouble and the company went above and beyond to ensure everything was done to perfection. I highly recommend this company.

We've recently had two external doors fitted and the operation was faultless. The workmanship was excellent and their communication with us was first class. Jay and Ross were very thorough in tidying up.

We are delighted! An excellent experience from start to finish. Cameron visited first and politely explained what his firm offered. Another very affable gentleman came a bit later to confirm that we were indeed interested in new windows and a visit was arranged from Grant who discussed the options in depth with us and made an initial survey. His manner was just right and he really helped with the decision-making. Leanne in the office has kept us informed along the way and politely dealt with any queries. Following a more detailed survey by Jay and Ross we were lucky to have our 8 windows fitted around a week later, followed by the door the following week. Jay and Ross aided by Arran arrived and the teamwork was immediately evident. Well-organised, polite, friendly and hard-working they got right down to it, completing all the upstairs windows by the end of the first day and the same downstairs by the end of the second. Very impressed with the quality of workmanship and with Jay keeping us informed along the way, demonstrating the various features of the windows and door. Today the door has been fitted and once again, an immaculate job. On all days the waste was removed with an impressive clean-up before they went. What a great team!
