Because I ordered my Trashie bag through another vendor, I had a great deal of trouble setting up my account to be able to mail off my filled Trashie bag. The help desk was wonderful (particularly Barbara!!). Understanding, patient, and always polite, they successfully worked through the problem and I am now poised to send off my first Trashie bag!!

This is an awesome way to keep clothing out of the trash. When you live in an area that does not pick up donations this is awesome. I just place a bag in my closet. When something no longer fits I put it in the bag. When it’s full scan the code and then drop at a UPS store. I love you can do fabric scraps from sewing

Have not used their service yet. My daughter does and is pleased with it. I tried to order three bags and inadvertently ordered six. I use PayPal and realized my mistake. Trashie quickly helped me change and cancel the order so that I could redo it. PayPal also refunded my erroneous purchase. All of this was completed in a very short time the same day. Thank you. I will be ordering bags from you.

Great customer service! Had a problem with shipping a filled bag back to Trashie initially, but they solved it, told me how to avoid the problem in the future, and were so friendly!

My first shipment of bags ended up in some weird limbo, so then the company sent out another shipment of bags, which the post office marked as delivered before they delivered them. At that point, I completely thought I was being scammed. The 2nd round of bags finally showed up, we used 2 of them immediately without a problem. Shockingly, the first round of bags showed up a few days later. I let the company know and even offered to pay for the extra bags, which they graciously said to use or give. I do wish communities made it easier to recycle clothing that is not in dignity condition, but glad that are services available like Trashie.

If I could give no stars I would.
They claim to be all for helping people and giving back but they don’t even pay the small businesses they get their products from. And when these small businesses reach out to resolve the issue they are told there is no issue to be resolved. I suggest if you see something on their website you like go directly to the business that makes the product. Not only will you actually be supporting a small business but you will get your products sooner and at better prices.

first time trying it. Ordered 3 bags and one electronics box. cost over $50 dollars. Took forever to arrive. I could have dropped it off locally in a couple hours this took 2 weeks. Also, had issues with one bag I tried to use happy returns and drop st local staples that has happy returns. They don't take it there. have to go to an ups store. that is 30. min from my house. So the gas and that negates any carbon footprint I saved with the bag. I tried to switch it to a shipping label and no option for that. So I emailed the company to change it. They still haven't answered me from 4 days ago. won't be stupid enough to do this again. I have a goodwill a. mile away.

While I appreciate the opportunity to recycle clothing and shoes not worth donating because of their condition, I've found it very difficult to use reward $$$ for anything. Most of the discounts are for expensive things I would never use or are minimum discounts that require large purchases. Why can't I use all of my Trashie dollars on one purchase? I will likely let my Trashie account balance simply...go to the trash. I've been trying to use my $$$ since May 2024. Nothing here for me.

I was having trouble with mailing my bag. I contacted trashie and they took care of me immediately. I love this company!

Completely useless rewards. They offer the same coupons that the storefronts give you without you having to purchase a trashie bag. Trashie rewards exchange for a 15% coupon meanwhile the storefront offers the same 15% coupon without a minimum purchase and without you have to purchase a trashie bag. You really are not getting rewarded for recycling. Instead they trick you into giving stuff that you could have just donated or sold. The whole auction thing they had of stuff that was sent to them seemed so scummy. They need to give actual rewards that are a step above the discounts already offered by the storefront. Otherwise you are essentially paying Trashie to recycle for you. Don't waste your money.

I love being able to send old items to a safe place, where they won’t end up in a landfill or the ocean.
I had some questions about what can be recycled in the Tech Take Back bag and customer service was great!
However, I find it difficult to find ways to use my Trashie Cash. The items available for sale are SOOOO expensive that I wouldn’t normally even purchase them. Then, to use the rewards/“cash” at more affordable shops, you have to almost pay 3x just to make a purchase: first for the recycling bags themselves, then pay for a discount using Trashie Cash, and then pay for the actual item.
And I don’t understand the whole chrome extension thing. It’s fancy and prob easy if you’re sitting at your desktop, but nowadays, who wants to keep downloading/adding more data, where privacy is even further compromised. Call me old, but even just finding shops online that accept the rewards is difficult.

I purchased a three-pack of the Take Back Bags - $45. Filled each with clothing, shoes, linens, etc., and returned them via UPS. The return process was fairly easy using a QR code then dropping the bag off at my neighborhood UPS Store, so yay for that. My return bags earned me 90 points total, which I thought would be like $90 as a gift card to use for things I actually need -- gas, groceries, cat food from Chewy. Instead, you use the points to purchase small discounts on goods and services from brands I’ve not heard of or to purchase small discounts from brands I’m already buying from elsewhere -- and if I watch the sales, I don’t really need the Trashie points to get the discounts.
I did use some of my points to buy a small credit to use the next time I book a hotel I’ve used in the past in NYC, but when I went to use the middleman’s website required for making reservations and using the credit, the prices were higher than what I had paid going directly to the hotel’s website.
I like what Trashie is trying to do -- reduce the textiles that end up in landfills -- but the point system currently feels like it encourages people to buy more stuff. It just feels wasteful.

Trashie's system is robust and truly represents the circular economy on multiple levels. Super easy to send back items, clothes and to feel great that I am not adding to the dumping of garbage into our beautiful rivers, lakes, oceans throughout the world.
