If I could give them a 0 star I would! They have strung us along for 5 months. When you submit your information the keep asking for more. They just want you to give up so they don't have to pay out!

I booked an 11 Day Baltic Sea cruise July 28, 2023 and due to Delta airline having air traffic control problems we miss our connecting flight. Filed a claim with Aon travel insurance for hotel, clothes and misc. on Aug 12, 2022 and today is Jan 24, 2023 and they are still processing my claim. Three times when I contacted them for status they wanted to know if they could cancel my claim. I will never use them in the future.

DO NOT BE FOOLED!

I am going to write a TERRIBLE review for this trash company on every platform available to me. I'm out $3000 because of this SCAM. I booked a trip to Disney the beginning of 2022 for October of 2022. WDW's own company website uses this GARBAGE insurance company in the event you need to cancel. I had to cancel my reservations the day before due to family emergency. My mother, who I care for, was in a respite facility and was being neglected by staff. Her health and safety were in jeopardy and this stupid company responded (after making me jump through hoops to verify she has medical conditions. She has both MS and ALS and is unable to care for herself in any capacity) by saying "while we sympathize (Ha yeah right, you're rubbing your grubby hands together like an evil villain), my situation does not constitue an emergency. Yeah, sure. Next time I'll let my mother rot. So, be ware if you ever plan on trying to book a trip, especially if this is your first time off in 12 years and you sunk all your hard earned saved money, DO NOT BUY INTO THEM. They're scammers 10000%.
They charge you for this service, so since they don't do what they are paid for, I feel like legal action would be a smart move.

Unethical AON travel insurance AON reviews are…

All of these negative AON reviews are exactly what my wife and I are experiencing. 4 months after I sent AON all of the receipts and paperwork necessary for our claim they are still deliberately stalling us re. refunds for all of the extra expenses we incurred due to being ill and quarantined with Covid on our cruise. Their e mail “response “ to every e mail I send to them is to give them another 30 days to process everything. If I call them I am immediately connected with a foreign country outside of the U.S. We have never dealt with such a dishonest, non-reputable company ever before. I called them again today and told them that I expect full payment immediately or I will take action against them. I am going to file a complaint with the state insurance commissioner, send a letter to the Los Angeles Times, hire an outside insurance adjuster, and use social media to let as many people know what this company is all about.

Terrible customer service and…

Terrible customer service and timeliness. It took AON almost six months just to review my claim. When they finally did review my claim, they required that I resubmit all the previously submitted receipts. I did not get any response until I filed a complaint with my state Insurance Commission. I finally received partial payment after more than half a year later. Would never use them again. The only reason I used them is that they are the insurance company Tauck Tours uses.

Norweigian Cruise Line drop

Sent information to both NCL and Aon. We keep getting the runaround since May. Our expenses totaled over $2000. To this day we are still waiting. We will be glad to file a claim against them.

Cruise Trip was impacted by Hurricane

Cruise Trip was impacted by Hurricane. One extra day at sea meant missed flights, The extra day delay cost us several hundred dollars in hotel and restaurant fees. We received $34 reimbursement. They detailed it as not a day but divided over the trips length. Then divide that by 3. LOL. A waste of cash.

Failure of AON TRAVEL TO REIMBURSE after 8 months

In April, I was on a Princess Cruise transatlantic to Southampton and a second leg to Ireland and Scotland, a total of 23 days. I was traveling with my sister and her husband. Two days before arriving in the UK, I tested positive for Covid from the ship. My sister did not. I have documents which stated that AON would pay or my extended stay in Southampton, US REQUIRED 10 days isolation. Plus they did not allow me to complete the second leg of the cruise. I am 81 yrs old, they left me stranded alone in the rain with my baggage and I have not received a dime of refund. I sent the claim and all documents three different times and each time I’d receive a response asking for my patience. They owe me well over $5000, sine May 1. Princess says they will make up the difference but only after the insurance pays.

Stay Away from Aon!

My complaint is not nearly as long reaching as most of these - at least so far. But I won't be surprised that it takes as long. We're now at 6 weeks since the claim was filed and I'm getting the same runaround that others say they got. I booked the insurance at the same time as I booked a cruise on WindStar as the insurance company they use. I thought it was a good reference - wrong! I've filed a dispute with AmEx and will register with the BBB. Not much else we can do.

My sister passed away and I could not travel

I purchase a cruse for two back in July to travel on August 19. I was careing for my sister and she was getting better. I purchase this trip in July 9th
I canceled at the end of July my sister's cancer got worse so she asked me not to go. I called Royal Caribbean and they refund me my Taxes and said that I purchase insurance With Aon Travel insurance they would give me my money back. My trip was from 19 to 25th my sister passed away on the 29th. I have even send them a death certificate and the telling me that it is being reviewed
Today is December 4th
They have asked me to send another copy of death certificate. I was her care taker. I relive my sisters passing each time I speak to this horrible company. I have no idea how a company like Royal Caribbean has are affiliated with this scam.
My claim number is 22rcco5764

Customer beware

Customer beware - I'm hoping to save someone else this pain. This organization is still selling insurance policies they have no ability or desire to service in the advertised timeframe. The truth is - unless you are looking for travel insurance knowing you won't need to make a claim or you have so much money that you don't need your money back for MONTHs - buy elsewhere.

Customer service representatives have acknowledged to me on multiple occasions that they do not have the staffing to meet their advertised claim response time, but yet even months later they still advertise this review timeframe to new/potential customers.

Furthermore, on 12/2 when I question the source of a cited policy requesting additional information (seems like a stall tactic), the customer service agent was shocked that I would question the credibility of information she provided about their internal policy only verbally after 4 months of waiting (over 4 times the estimated time available on their publicly available website). In comparison the information they were disputing from another source was provided with a link to the publicly available official policy the same day as the inquiry was made.

Been communicating with AON since last March when we had to cancel a cruise because of medical reasons Every time I called I got the same scripted response from their customer service rep. We will forward you concerns to the representative working on your claim and they should respond. it is now November and no good solution has been reached. How do you get to the next level of service?

Wish I would have read the negative…

Wish I would have read the negative reviews of this terrible insurance. A complete ripoff! I uploaded a claim back in July, and then they sent me the same form recently to submit again! I will be notifying Trafalgar of my bad experience, they should no longer offer this insurance.

I had to cancel a Trafalgar tour in…

I had to cancel a Trafalgar tour in March. Trafalgar came through and reimbursed the cash amount (80%) in July. I thought that was too long but at least I have received it. I was told by Trafalgar and AON travel Insurance I would get the balance in the form with a travel credit. It is now -mid November and still no voucher AON told me my claim was closed on Nov 9 and they sent a detailed email advising when I would get the voucher. No EMAIL! I bought AON insurance as it was offered through Trafalgar. I cannot count how many times I have called and have received different answers. If you buy travel insurance, buy it from someone else.

COVID tests…

This is an added review to one that I had posted. AON denied our claim because they do not recognize the COVID test kit we were given by the travel company. Took 4 phone calls and a message to get the refusal letter. Appears they do not mail the letter. Have forwarded everything to the travel company guest relations for their assistance. Also reported them to the Better Business Bureau of New York where this company is located. NEVER USE AON AGAIN.
