Travel Guard is my go to travel insurance company. Unfortunately, serious family emergencies caused me to file claims in the past. The agents were wonderful to deal with, meant to everything to me. I’ve been loyal a for a long time now. I never travel without them!

Easy and straightforward process.

This is a scam. I am a contractor that deals with insurance companies every day and my claim was denied even though the reason for my cancellation was specifically stated in the policy, after I provided more than enough documentation. I had a work meeting across the country that was cancelled. Do not purchase under any circumstance.

My son became ill a day before we were supposed to go to Europe from CA. Travel guard reimbursed us 100% hassle free. SO glad we went with travelguard.

Worthless. A waste of money and time. Never ever use this for travel insurance with United Airlines….says refund for any reason right on their website but just try and use it, endless run around.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! SCAM!!! I had purchased this insurance many times in the past, but I never have used it the first time I needed it. It refused to pay anything for a bike accident that resulted fractured rib. There is nothing the ER can do to fix a fractured rib. because of this technicality, they used it as the grounds to refuse to pay for the hotel room. We had reserved when using this scam insurance when we try to file the claim their website wouldn’t work their Internet was always down when we called to check on it and that was over three times. Don’t purchase this you’ll regret it. You’ll spend hours filling out their forms that won’t submit on their website and then wait weeks for their investigation and still get declined

Travel Guard is great - I use them for all my travel and have never had any issues. They’re easy to use and stand by their word and policies.

I was traveling from EWR to Singapore, my baggage was lost for 4 days. Finally my baggage was found, I spend almost haft of my vacation's with out my clothes and toiletries, it was little frustrating .
I did have my travel insurance ( travel guard) and immediately contacted them after I comeback from my trip hoping to receive some compensation.
It was very big disappointment after couple of weeks dealing with them . I did send them all evidence and all receipts from my trip hopping that compensation gonna come soon.Unfortunately it was only hope, I was left behind with out anything.
My advice to all, my personal advice , from my own experience!
Don’t waste your money on Travel Guard !

TravelGuard came up with the amount I more or less expected to receive for our claim, even if calculated slightly differently from expected. While it was very challenging to get the Representative on the phone in spite of requests for scheduled calls, she was excellent, professional and caring when we finally did connect. I have been a long-time TravelGuard customer, plan to use the service in the future and have already recommended it to traveling friends.

I purchased travel insurance with the understanding that it would provide protection if unforeseen circumstances required changes to my travel plans. Unfortunately, my experience has been the opposite.
I was forced to change my flight plans due to dangerous weather conditions that created legitimate safety concerns. As part of my claim, I provided documentation and evidence supporting the circumstances that led to my decision. Despite submitting proof of the hazardous weather conditions and explaining why travel was no longer safe or practical, my claim was denied twice!
DO NOT PURCHASE THIS INSURANCE, IT DOES NOT COVER ANYTHING!

Customer service and comprehensive coverage. I've always used Allianz but United offered this insurance a lot cheaper with the same coverage so I gave it a go. While I was away, I had a bout of gastroenteritis and had to postpone my flight. It took one phone call to Travel Guard. The associate explained in detail what needed to be done. I was even connected to a medical team associate who offered to connect me to one of their nurses. In short, my coverage got extended for 7 days. I was given a case number. They even followed up on me the next day! I now purchased two travel insurance with them for my next two trips.

There's a reason why Travel Guard has so very many Lawsuits against including Class Action Lawsuit; they DO NOT PAY their claims. I just filed a lawsuit for a straightforward claim where I missed my flight at no fault of my own. Avoid using this company for protection. They are NOT even listed on the 10 best with American Express. Bad intentions, bad reviews, bad culture. Karma will get them back.

It was easy to purchase a policy and the price was reasonable.

Provided valid reason and was not approved.

Terrible policy! The claim review is very slow, and I was denied when I had to cancel when my companions, who were my transportation while in Philadelphia, were unable to make the trip. I got hotel cancellation insurance in case of an unforeseen problem, and was shocked when I was denied. I paid almost 10% of my hotel bill for insurance, and it wasn't explained that most cancellations didn't qualify for reimbursement. It's a terrible scam.

Online information was inclusive of my needs and the website was easy to use.

I would rather have talked to a human than done it on line, even though it went ok.
