What are Treasure Trails?
Follow a self-guided Treasure Trail through the winding backstreets and hidden corners of villages, towns and cities around the UK.
Crack the clues along the route to unlock incredible stories from the past and solve the mystery at the end.
Before you know it, you've walked a couple of miles, taken in the highlights, put your heads together as a family and returned home with a massive smile on your face!
Where do the Trails explore?
We have over 1,200 Trails across villages, cities and towns in the UK. Visit our website and enter the location you wish you explore, and you'll see all the nearby Trail adventures.
Who are the Trails for?
Literally everyone! Our Trails are particularly great for families with kids aged 4 - 11, and adults who love acting like big kids! Thousands of adults have completed a Trail without a child in sight.
How to get a Trail
You can get a Trail from treasuretrails.co.uk. Trails can be instantly downloaded to print at home or use on the Treasure Trails app, for same-day Trailing fun! Or, if you fancy a digital detox, we can print and pop one in the post for you.

Excellent value for money and exploring
We have used these for years, We do one before our holidays to get to explore our new surroundings. This year I introduced them to others in the family and everyone enjoyed the hunt.
We have purchased another 2 to do throughout the year and looking forward to them. You can spend as much or as little time exploring as there is no deadline.
Would definitely recommend for families to explore or adults who just fancy a change. Good for nearly all age groups.

Thank you for your senility test. We now realise we've lost a few more brain cells than we thought having submitted a wrong answer due to gaps in our memory. We failed miserably but laughed a lot.

Interesting and compact!
This was an interesting trail and although I was already familiar with the lanes I still saw things that I have never noticed before and I learned a fair bit of the local history too.

We love these trails, but not this one
We love these trails, but the Peterborough one was disappointing. Not nice areas to be walking through and we couldn't find 2 clues no matter how hard we looked. Shame it didn't include the beautiful Cathedral area rather than the run down areas.

Fun afternoon
We really enjoyed doing the treasure trail around Grassington.We went down a few paths and back alleys that we would never have discovered without it. Unfortunately we did have to get the answer to one of the clues as the TV crew were there filming All Creatures Great and Small and had covered an answer up, but it didn’t spoil what was a fun afternoon.

It was a fun way to explore the centre…
It was a fun way to explore the centre of Winchester with family. It paved the way to visiting museums etc the next day, as well as taking us into areas that we might not otherwise have discovered.

Durham Riverside
Doing the Durham Riverside was a good experience, though for this walk its not clear about the terrain due to steeper sections (especially in the woods as it not well marked and has loose soil) - for us it was not much of an issue as we regularly do hikes, but for some it may be an issue.

Portsmouth Treasure Trails
We enjoyed the story, the booklet was very neat and well-written. It felt like a virtual tour, it gave us lots of facts about the town (Portsmouth) without feeling overwhelmed by information. It was also very fun that we coincidentally started the same trail with another family and had a friendly competition between us :) We will definitely buy more for future holidays.
