Why I ❤️ Treecard

Treecard has changed not only how I bank but my life. From marketing to Tree distribution, from Saving in Trees to Spending with Trees, Treecard has propelled my Natural Level to a whole other level. My slogan is “plant Trees with your products and services” and using Treecard it is easier done than said. I can’t wait to see where they will be next year.

Awesome!

I’ve planted dozens of trees since I became a user over a year ago. Absolutely no problems with the card, and I’m planting extra trees by walking. Would recommend to everyone because it costs nothin more that a regular debit card, and you get to plants dozens, if not hundreds, of trees a year.

Astounding and Honest!

What makes my experience great with this company is the fact that they are so driven and committed to their mission when it comes to the environment. I also really enjoy how dedicated they are to their users and how we feel about the company. I've yet to have an experience that caused me to doubt what this company does, if anything I trust Treecard far more than any green company just from how transparent and honest they are about what they do. I'd recommend them to anyone willing to take a conscious step in helping our home with just one purchase or step at a time.

A Good Experience Thus Far

I have had very good experiences with Treecard. I love the card itself, it's sturdy and beautiful. Customer service has always responded to me in a prompt and helpful manner. My favorite thing about this card is that it allows me to offset "guilty pleasure" purchases, like Xbox points, which would otherwise serve no beneficial purpose beyond light personal entertainment. I feel a lot better after every self-indulgent transaction when I see that it's contributing to reforestation. I also enjoy that the rewards are useful and interesting. I've recommended this card personally to other people who have similar hobbies and principles, and feel strongly that having the option to "multipurpose" entertainment purchases has improved my quality of life.

Quite a fun experience

Quite a fun experience. The wooden card makes for easy conversation with others when paying. If you love trees, you probably enjoy walking among trees and you can earn points for just walking in your daily life. Earning points towards environmental & wildlife outings is more motivating than earning spending points at restaurants (with other services). Most importantly, you get to support reforestation around the world and to encourage others to do so as well.

I Love Treecard

Treecard has been amazing so far. No hidden fees. No bs. Every $50 you spend helps plant a tree AND earns points towards rewards.

They will ban you if they feel like it

It was all good until they just randomly shut down my account for no reason. I had been using them for almost 8 months and had spent thousands on the card, at least a few hundred every month. Then I just get an email saying they "regret to inform you that we will not be able to move forward with your Treecard account". I cannot even imagine why they did that. I don't travel, I didn't dispute any charges, I don't use a VPN. The worst part is that they just ran away with all the reward points I earned and all I get is the same "Sorry, sucks for you" reply when I ask about it.

1.I opened an account and was excited…

1.I opened an account and was excited to use my card. There was a delay receiving my card (which is sent from the UK!!!) when I asked for a prospective timeframe to receive it, customer service simply said they don’t know lol.

2. I added a card to fund my account. When I added a second card this apparently flagged up a security problem and the customer service response was that I could no longer deposit by card ever again and to make a bank transfer instead.

3. Their app is bugged to hell and the worst banking app I have ever used. Their customer service are useless and consider any response as a resolution to their obvious problems.

I would avoid this bank like the plague.

The wooden debit is so cool!!

The wooden debit is so cool!!! I get asked about it all the time when I get coffee. Everything works well and being a student it is extremely important for me to be building a greener future in these chaotic times at every chance I can get.

Easy way to make a difference

Simple, fun to use, and good support. It's cool that you can plant trees by spending or walking. It's an easy way to make a difference in the world and I appreciate all the work they are putting into it.

Sadly Burned, Badly.

It's all great EXCEPT they will ban you, literally for no reason. And they refuse to tell you why.

Out of the blue, you log in one day to your smartphone app. The app won't get past the login screen. You do your SMS verification. You log in. It just spins and spins and spin and spins.

I asked them why my account was closed. I, and many others, keep getting the same, trite, regurgitated, copy-and-paste response of:

The reason you are seeing a blank screen is that we are no longer able to offer an account to you.

After careful consideration, we regret to inform you that we will not be able to move forward with your Treecard account.

"Security reasons" ? I have never in all my life gotten an account closed. My credit score is over 740. I do not use a VPN. There is zero reason I should have gotten my account closed. Do some Reddit searches. I am not the only one this has happened to. Out of the blue ban. I had money topped off in the account, I didn't use a VPN or go out of country. I just don't get it, why was I banned? There's zero reason, and they refuse to tell me.

I got my money back. They seem to be operating with integrity.

But apparently their "security" in their app is extremely bugged. It's super saddening to not be able to use this amazing little card and app and things. All because "security" they ban you, forever.

I really hope they change and I can somehow open an account again.

I feel very uncomfortable with the…

I feel very uncomfortable with the application process and denial. After uploading my Id during the process, i was not approved to have the wood card. I clearly don’t fit they “ criteria” as my name is Not Grut. I guess black Amex members are not a god fit for them. Hilarious.

Not Worth It

They are not worth bothering with. They will close your account if there is fraud even if it was made by you, they will not ask questions or for proof if it was accidental. They tell you good luck and to continue planting trees with Ecosia.I no longer refer them nor use Ecosia.
