id give 0 if i could they have been charging me w out my consent for 10+ when i contacted them about it the offered o help said it was legal to keep charging me after i canceled the service. as it stands i plan of filling small clams court and serval other complaints compute security company being shady as hell. they have lied to me on the phones an even tried telling me that they only keep one year of data.

This is crap

This is crap. Tried to cancel it for two years. On my Trend Micro account everything looked good and that cancellation went through but then a year later I discovered that those muppets took money again from me. Tried to contact them but customer service is designed to avoid any direct contact with customers. Some shitty chat which doesn't even have an option for cancellation...
Now this time they're trying to charge me again but plus a pay rise....
Avoid it, don't even think about buying or using it otherwise they will charge you to the last day of your life and maybe even beyond.

Don’t waste time & $$ on Trend VPN

Bought laptop @ Harvey Norman in January I believed the young sales guy when he said Trend was the best & based in Melbourne for easy contact & support . NOT the case
Customer support is not bad .. it’s non existent! Currently overseas The main purpose for purchase was for o/seas use
This product was a waste of time & effort . Wish I’d searched reviews before purchasing
Never had a problem with Nord VPN.,
Will be revisiting H Norman !

Poor Processes and Customer Service

I had no idea this company had so many negative reviews until I experienced their customer service for myself.

I spent 2 hours on hold listening to the same recorded message repeatedly. Within the first minute, you'll understand how frustrating it is. After waiting exactly 2 hours, while I was still on hold, the call was disconnected.

My issue still has not been resolved. My account shows two subscriptions even though I only purchased one, and despite spending a significant amount of time trying to get assistance, I still do not have an explanation.

If I had known beforehand that so many other customers had experienced similar issues, I would have thought twice before spending my money with this company.

I hope Trend Micro reviews its customer service processes, particularly the excessive hold times and the handling of customer enquiries, so that future customers receive the level of service they deserve.

TREND MICRO ID PROTECTION FAILED…

TREND MICRO ID PROTECTION FAILED MISERABLY — Delayed breach alert by 6 weeks!

I am writing this review to warn anyone relying on Trend Micro ID Protection that IT PROVIDES NO PROTECTION AT ALL.
TM ID PROTECTION completely failed its core job. It failed to notify me of a critical data breach involving my personal information until ALMOST 6 WEEKS after it occurred.
Discovering a security failure this late (16 May, 2026) left me completely vulnerable to identity theft and fraud with zero warning. What am I paying for if a security app lags by a month and a half to send a basic alert? Do not trust your identity security with Trend Micro ID Protection. It does not protect you at all in real-time.

My 5 device licence still has 605 days until expiry, yet TM suggested that I install Trend Micro ID Protection - HELLO - CHECK YOUR RECORDS BEFORE MAKING A BLUNDER OF THIS MAGNITUDE!

I have used TM MAXIMUM SECURITY for years, and on occasions it has "uninstalled itself" leaving me completely vulnerable to scammers. I have had to spend hours of time on the phone, while TM "help" reinstalled their so called security.

It appears that TM no longer have phone support, which will effectively mean they are totally useless and a waste of money!

VERY DISSATISFIED

VERY DISSATISFIED - unbelievable how dissatisfied I am with Trend Micro virus protection software. I have no idea why the Geek Squad rep at Best Buy - someone who really knew his stuff - recommended it so highly. There is no way to set Trend Micro notifications so they occur only in the background. Every time it does something, the software takes over the foreground of my computer and reports what it's doing. I'm constantly getting interrupted in the middle of typing a sentence having to close the Trend Micro pop-up to complete my work. Sometimes, it's downright incessant. I can't wait to get it off my computer. Otherwise, it seems to fulfill its function very well. Why the software developers won't just set it to perform quietly in the background is truly a mystery to me.

Ok so this software has been a pain in my ass since I got it! Blocks every device! I’m disconnecting it as it makes my life so much harder than it should be! Devices that were connected are no longer connected to the wifi! Can’t get them back on. I absolutely hate this software!

Bought a new iPhone from Harvey Norman…

Bought a new iPhone from Harvey Norman was pushed into getting Trend Micro protection ... $699.95 for 3 years 6 devices. Could not easily upload protection on devices. When overseas using wifi for work, this security kept cutting me off some websites I knew safe to use! I would get banners on screen to warn me of unsafe wifi all the time even at home with my own wifi. Tried to get a refund but being 3 weeks out of the 30 days money back guaranty I was denied . Expensive $699.95 protection for 6 weeks. A headache really ! Always been an Apple product loyal customer and they have a pretty good protection on their own products! No need for extra expensive protection from trend Micro. That is my experience with this company . Pretty disappointed!

If bloatware had a face

If bloatware had a face. It's honeslty unusable at this stage with all the added features they've thrown in to make it feel relevant. I'd rather risk my personal information getting stolen than keep using this platform.

Customer service non existent.

I've been trying to speak to someone all morning after eventually finding a phone number, but all you get is " it has not been possible to connect you, please try again later" and I still can't get passed "log in" no matter what you press it keeps taking me back to "log in" what a shambles of an organisation.

I cancelled my subscription in 2024, Still hassling me

I cancelled my subscription in 2024. I asked for my details to be removed from their system. Received a conformation that this had been done. I have now been receiving emails from them ever second day since the 2/3/2026. Rung and asked to make sure that my details were removed on the 5/3/2026. Confirmed again, but still receiving emails. When I went to their site to get a contact number, my new security software blocked their site due to malicious content. They tried to access my computer.
DO NOT USE TREND MICRO ever. If you have this, get rid of it.

Feedback on TrendMicro FULL Access

I have used Trend Micro for about 3 years and recently expired.
It was great when I was using basic web protection for my mobile phone.
I just purchased 2 years subscription for 3 devices.
Pain in the bump when trying to install in imac.
Then I installed to my current Android phone. My subscription had extras like Web guard etc.
In order to set up a few of these extras, I was prompted to ALLOW FULL ACCESS to my device - stating TM will have CONTROL if my device - so I ended up Not setting the extras I paid in advance for.
I went into TM website to send feedback. I wrote something to the effect:
- paid for something I cant use without concerns
- full access to device meaning giving TM Control over my device
- I paid for Protection NOT VULNERABILITY
- FULL Access means accessing My Privacy
I clicked Submit and an inbox appeared - Discussion.trendmicro.com says :
"Suspicious activity detected. Form submission blocked
- then cleared my thread post
Very Suspicious that I pay for Protection and TM WANTS to CONTROL me - this is the real world

Cannot cancel auto-renewal

I don't think there is anything wrong with their software, but I am giving a low score because it is not possible to turn off auto-renewal, and there is no way of contacting support.

If I could give zero I would

If I could give zero I would. Bought a product key from Hervey Norman and as I follow the steps on trend micro to activate it takes to where I’ve got to put in my credit card again even though I’ve already purchased it. It’s meant to be a 1 year plan not roll over, why can’t I just put the dam code in.

Scammers will not pay cashback money

Purchased Trend Micro anti-virus with a $20 cashback offer. Submitted the request for cashback and it was rejected even though information was provided.
The cashback offer is a huge scam and Trend Micro will do anything they can not to pay up on their promises.

Scammers - DO NOT USE TREND MICRO

I turned off automatic renewal and…

I turned off automatic renewal and cancelled my subscription to Trend Micro last year, and they still charged me today for a new subscription when I don't even have that card anymore. I asked for a refund and said I don't want to use their services anymore, and was asked if they could give me 3 months extra for free to not get a refund instead. Not a chance!! Told refund would take 5-7 business days, email said could take 14 days. Would not recommend at all.

Fraudulent Transaction

After cancelling Trend Micro and moving elsewhere several years ago, Trend Micro keeps trying to bill me for annual subscription. I have sent them emails and cancelled a number of times to be charged again this year for a subscription I do not have. It is nothing short of fraudulent.
