Arborea Country Holiday House in the Southern Highlands has just been renovated for lovely families and to enjoy and spend quality time catching up, the other wonderful thing is if you are in a wedding party you can stay in the one house with your love ones and your wedding party.
The house is so big and beautifully decorated. So close to all weeding venues. You can hire a chef also to come in and cook, and there is a massage that will also come in if you like.
I just want to share this with any large groups of people looking for great accommodation in the Southern Highlands

Trivago, bunch of thieves
I wrote and terminated my membership of Trivago back in August 2018 and they have the audacity to still renew the membership. Just happened again, today, another £ 240 deducted from my card with no prior approval. Absolute theft.
I've had enough and will now be taking them to the small Claims Court.

Bad for business
I am reviewing as a business owner.
They break the law by sending unsolicited commercial email.
They break the law by calling people who are registered with the Telephone Preference Service.
The bookings we get do not always reflect what the customer thinks they have booked.
I have asked them to remove us from their website but they haven't.
Auto Renewal of Pro Subcription
Trivago auto renews the subscription of the pro offer without intimating the hoteliers.
This is breach of credit card security.
Please help me who can help in this.
We had raised this as dispute to credit card department however Trivago refused to accept this.

Stay away from unethical Trivago
I received a call from a sales consultant at Trivago explaining the benefits of direct bookings that can be obtained by signing up for Trivago Pro. I paid and after 12 months we saw no benefit in the subscription... note did we receive any further support to assist us in gaining the direct bookings. After 12 months I sent various emails requesting to cancel. They apparently sent me 1 return email explaining that I had to log in and do it myself on the system. I missed this email and they promptly charged my credit card once again for the next 12 months. After sending over 8 emails and messages, they finally call me back and explain that their terms and conditions protect them and they refuse to refund anything, even though I have just paid for 12 months worth of a “service” that I did not request. Unethical and in fact illegal in South African consumer protection laws!!!
DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THIS PRODUCT - A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!
DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THIS PRODUCT
I fully concur with all the reviews below - the product delivers no results for a hotel. There are endless sales call to get you to subscribe and then you hear nothing from them!
No help in using their product, no account team to provide insights to help make decisions etc.
The automatic renewal is just "rolled over" - no rewed sales call to check how your first year went and whether you'd like to sign up again - just an automatic "roll over".
This is a money hungry corporate who are out to take your money to fund their advertising budgets.
AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!
Hotels & B&B's Beware of Trivago Pro - Cancel Or Be Caught
If you are an hotel or guest house and have been sold Trivago Pro cancel it now!
Originally this was sold on the basis that a promotional discount could be applied offering guests a preferential rate on the hotel website, similar to an OTA.
On auto-renewal, this is no longer allowed making the reason for joining useless. Trivago give no notice that the renewal date is approaching and then chase aggressively immediately after auto-renewal for payment, claiming its now too late to cancel (T&C's)
TERRIBLE SERVICE & WASTE PRO WASTE OF TIME
I have just been on the phone after day 5 of trying to contact Trivago to cancel my Pro subscription 3 hours after it was due. Like all the other hotel managers on here, they are threatening debt collectors if I do not pay. I am still to pay them, and after pleading my case to someone in Germany, who would not put me on to a higher staff member told me I could call back in 6 hours if I like, but I would get the same result. I now not only want to take my hotel off trivago website, but will be telling all others that this PRO service is nothing but a waste of time. I have since the phone call had 4 other motel business's made aware of this, and they have since cancelled their subscriptions. And hopefully hotel owners reading this will cancel theirs also and not get caught.
DO NOT USE for Vacation rentals!
DO NOT USE for Vacation rentals!
They automatically renew subscriptions and DO NOT provide adequate notification of renewal. You are then left with an EXTREMELY AGGRESSIVE debt collection process.
Their rating algorithms are terrible and will wind up giving you a low rating even when you have hundreds of excellent reviews across multiple platforms. Hotel Manager PRO is NOT WORTH the money simply because you CANNOT promote your own website over EXPEDIA (who owns them).
Just don't bother. They are vile to deal with.
I will NEVER deal with this company…
I will NEVER deal with this company again. An email was sent to me saying that our subscription had been successfully renewed without any prior warning that our subscription was due for renewal which I would expect from a company such as Trivago or any company for that matter. I cancelled the subscription on my account as soon as I got the renewal through. They still took my money, despite the fact that I cancelled. I was then spoken in a rather high handed manner and almost accused of not adhering to their contract. They made out it was my fault that I had not cancelled the contract sooner. Be warned, they do not pre-notify you. It seems they purposely don’t send prior notification emails so then can con you into a subscription in advance. Disgusting way to treat b2b. I said to them that you should notify your customers to give them the option of renewing if you wish, that is our prerogative. What happens if we were not happy with the performance of the site?? As a small business, paying our hard earned money, we have right to be given the option of renewing. They throw contracts and blackmail you. And last year when we upgraded to PRO Hotel, we have seen nothing at all, despite assurances that more direct bookings would come our way. Shafting springs to mind and dishonest way to do business. Avoid at all costs.
automatic subscription renewal
automatic subscription renewal with ZERO notice. ZERO visits from their site in one full year (Google analytics)
Don’t listen or be taken in by sales pitches. Avoid slimy contract
Don’t listen or be taken in by sales porches and false promises. All they want at the end of the conversation is to get you tied into a CONTRACT that supposedly you have tied yourself into TO PAY YEARLY in advance for marketing your property.
The sales pitch was last July and I have seen very little if any positive bookings from this site. They renewed in July this year with out even a warning or a correspondence that they would be renewing. TOOK A FULL YEARS SUBSCRIPTION IN ADVANCE.

Trivago - auto renewal of advertising SCAM / misselling of subscription
To share my experience of the Hotel Manager service:
I received various calls throughout 2017 to encourage me to use the Hotel Manager Pro service.
Mid-July I agreed to use the service for one year at a cost of £895 for my units.
At no point during this call was I told I would be automatically renewed the following year or would the fee increase at any piont.
During the course of the year I received a few calls from Trivago mostly to encourage me to add the units on which I previously had not to the PRO service.
The purpose fo the Pro service was to encourage direct bookings. We have not noticed any direct bookings from this source.
Yesterday during the weekend - Saturday 14th July 2018 - Trivago Hotel Manager took an annual payment without warning. Instead of the £895 paid in year one, this jumped up to £1436.40.
At no point was I warned of the renewal - if I was I would have canceled.
At no point was I warned of the increased fee from £895 to £1436.40.
At no point in the original emails from Trivago was I supplied terms and conditions that said the fee would be a recurring one and would be increased year on year.
This is very bad customer service and I am going to investigate this week with my bank and legal representative if their practice is legal.
This is going to take time out of my life to sort out - time that would be better spent running my accommodation business.
Avoid.
