Ongoing AML Review Experience with…

Ongoing AML Review Experience with EasyBit via Trocador

I am sharing my personal experience so that other users can better understand the potential risks of prolonged AML/KYC reviews when using crypto swap services and exchange aggregators.

This post is not intended as harassment or a definitive accusation.
It reflects my own unresolved experience, timeline, and the documentation I submitted throughout the review process.
Case Information

Platform used: Trocador
Exchange provider: EasyBit
EasyBit Order ID: QR3u******8Qz
Trocador Transaction ID: 22673:26****66

Transaction date:

March 4, 2026

As of today, this case has remained under AML/compliance review for more than two months.
What Happened
I chose to use Trocador because the exchange rates and fees appeared competitive.

After submitting the transaction, the case entered an AML review process and has remained unresolved for an extended period of time.

Throughout this process, I was repeatedly asked to provide extensive verification materials, including:
Government-issued ID
KYC verification
Handwritten declaration
Wallet ownership proof
Source-of-funds explanations
Blockchain transaction history
Continuous unedited verification video

I fully cooperated with every request made by the compliance team.
Documents and Proof Submitted
To comply with the review, I submitted:
Full unedited verification video
Face + ID confirmation
Handwritten signed declaration
Exodus wallet ownership proof
Transaction flow explanations
Blockchain explorer references
Additional follow-up clarifications
Wallet activity explanations
Some files were uploaded through Google Drive because email attachment limits were exceeded.
Important Technical Context
One important issue is that I use the Exodus wallet.
Exodus is an HD wallet that automatically generates multiple internal/change addresses.
Some addresses involved in transactions are not always directly visible inside the wallet interface itself.
I explained this multiple times and provided blockchain references and transaction flow explanations to support this.
I also explained that Exodus does not currently support traditional message signing.
Main Concern
My concern is not that AML reviews exist.
I understand compliance reviews are part of the crypto industry.

The difficult part has been:
Extremely long delays
Repeated requests for additional information
Unclear remaining concerns
Lack of concrete timelines
Long periods without meaningful updates

At one stage, I was informed that the case had been escalated to the review team and that I should receive an update “within the next few days.”
However, additional long waiting periods followed afterward without meaningful resolution.
Why I Am Posting This
I am posting this because I believe users should understand the possible risks associated with:
Prolonged compliance holds
Restricted access to funds
Repeated verification requests
Uncertain resolution timelines
I hope:
My case can eventually be resolved fairly
Future users can make informed decisions before using these services
Current Status
As of today:
The case remains unresolved
The review is still ongoing
I am still waiting for either a final resolution or refund decision
If the situation is eventually resolved, I will update this post accordingly.
I still hope the situation can be resolved professionally and fairly.
Advice to Other Users
If you use swap services or exchange aggregators:
Keep complete transaction records
Save all emails and screenshots
Record TXIDs carefully
Avoid deleting P2P communication history
Be prepared for source-of-funds questions
Understand that HD wallets can complicate ownership verification

I hope this information helps other users avoid similar situations and make informed decisions.

Great Platform and Support

After many flawless transactions in the past, something went wrong this time. My deposit was confirmed on the blockchain, but I never received the swapped tokens.

However, this was no reason to panic as I knew Trocador as a reputable platform. Therefore I contacted support via telegram (they responded in +-30min) and explained the issue. Support immediately contacted the partner exchange I chose for the trade and helped me get my tokens refunded in around 2 hours.

In short: I can recommend Trocador to anyone!

👮🏻🚨SCAM ALERT🚨🚓

👮🏻🚨SCAM ALERT🚨🚓

See my separate review for FixedFloat after my experience with order number ****M5Z (Trocador order ****MLHrh). With this order on March 19, 2025 FF stole approximately 0.06 BTC from me.

Even after providing full source of funds plus KYC, and sending a mountain of personal and confidential information to FixedFloat, they flatly refuse to return my funds (see full facts in my FixedFloat review).

Despite FixedFloat clearly violating their own ToS, Trocador has refused to honour their "Trocador guarantee" in my case. And they continue to list FixedFloat prominently on their service even today!

Judging by all the negative reviews of FixedFloat, Trocador's customers are frequently victims of FixedFloat's fraud in keeping customer funds well past what is permitted under their very own ToS. Trocador themselves wrote in an email "FixedFloat is indeed one of the strictest providers when it comes to halting funds.", which makes it clear that Trocador are complicit in FixedFloat's criminal scam.

I have filed complaints against both Trocador and Fixedfloat with the police, US FBI's IC3 and UK's Financial Ombudsmans Service. Because FixedFloat and Trocador both operate illegally, without any legal registration or license, and without any physical presence in any country of the world, the chances of recovery by police, especially for small amounts like mine, are made small. In fact it is exactly because of this criminal behaviour that FixedFloat is actively blacklisted by the governments of several countries. But unfortunately I did not know about these warnings until too late.

Please be warned about doing business with such scammers as you will lose your money without any recourse.

Update: Trocador's characterization is deliberately misleading. They are the ones not responding to my emails asking for their legal entity so my lawyer can pursue this matter with them, nor is FixedFloat. How could I have abandoned the KYC process if I already sent them the IDs they requested and they confirmed receipt long back?

TROCADOR, WHERE ARE YOU REGISTERED AND WHAT IS THE LEGAL NAME AND ADDRESS OF YOUR COMPANY??

To clarify to the community, this case is still pending a resolution. The user did a very reckless thing: they bought in-person P2P Bitcoin without caring for its origin, then proceeded to swap it at FixedFloat, which is rated C on our service. The BTC they had received was being tracked, so FixedFloat was forced to halt the swap. The user's deposit can be refunded by FF, but because of the problematic nature of the funds and FixedFloat's compliance requirements they need the user to complete KYC. The user began the process but abandoned it halfway. FixedFloat is actually waiting for the user.

It is our understanding that the customer in this case might have been a victim as well, unwittingly receiving tainted coins. This is why we always recommend being extra careful about the history of coins you're receiving.

We provided all the assistance during a difficult situation, but it was ultimately their choice to abandon the process of verification. If they change their mind, our team remains available to guide them through the process to recover the funds.
