I have been working with horses for 35 years and I am always searching to improve my training/communicating with horses... I found it with the TRT method! It has been such a transformation in my training and communicating with my horses!

I have a mare, own breed which was so spooky that I lost all confidence. She was allways tensed, even on the field. After bying TRTmethod, I started working with her, not even very intense and I have a whole ohter horse now. She still has her moments, but I can take her tense away and continue without running around in the arena or even comming down. I trust on the methode and love riding again.

The course is detailed and technical in the best way, so I'm learning a lot while feeling supported along the way.

I didn't expect to find this much support in an online course. I'm dealing with real people who are always available and who genuinely listen. There is a community where I can share my problems and my wins, and everyone is supportive.

For sure I'd highly recommend.

It works! The system is clear and understandable. Individual cases that show how to adapt to different types of horses, the fantastic demonstration as events and the short video clips as well as the blog/pdf helped me to be clear and consistent. I think the Q and A is a useful format. I always find clues that I can think about. The community is really supportive.

As a new 4 years old arabian owner, I wanted him to get the best education and to be able to share the best relationship together. Not only for me to feel safe outside in riding but mostly for my horse to know how he can selfmanage his emotions and energy by himself. (I wish someone taught me how to do it for myself as I was a kid !)
I learned about this method through Facebook. I was curious as it seemed "not conventional" and actually filling the gaps I was missing with other methods.

Every horsmanship technique I learned through the past 30 years whispers about horse selfmanagement but actually never adress it properly. The TRT Method allows a deeper understanding of the horse mechanisms and physiology to really know your horse and yourself in the end !

Even for an experienced horse/rider with "small problems" or just to level up your relationship awareness, I'm sure that the TRT Method can bring something to rise your game in complicity and in performance.

It's been 4 weeks now that I began the TRT Method and I am so happy to realize what brings my young horse into tension and to know how to teach him to release it by himself and relax. I've already seen a difference in his management and I know how to react for example when he becomes forward and pushy to bring him back to a neutral state.

With the TRT app, I can follow many video courses, ask questions and post videos to get some help. I usually get complete answers from TRT administrators within 24-48 hours. The help is warm, quick, efficient and personalized. I feel good in the TRT community, we are supporting eachother through good wibes and encouragements.

A happy TRT Method member

I have always been inspired watching liberty work and now thanks to TRT's free video I started myself. I got my horse (cob/TB) at Christmas. He had been badly treated and was very frightened and reactive. We have come a long was but this liberty work has bought him out of his shell and our bond and trust is so much stronger. Now he is understanding what it is all about and knows nothing bad is going to happen he is loving our sessions. Thank you TRT for putting us on such a beautiful journey. Shelagh Ball

Tristan has a special talent when working with the horses. He is so soft spoken and gentle and understanding the body language of the horses so well. Its like watching a horse whisperer at work. He’s proven his worth several times with a lot of different horses and it is a joy to see him work.

I have grown up with horses and been riding and driving most of my life, always continuing to learn from different teachers in various disciplines…..the TRT Method has been invaluable in summing up the parts and explaining what it is that we can do to help our horses be even more successful. For me, Tristan and his videos have added another level of paying attention to how the horse uses their body. The ability to change their state of being with a few movements is so rewarding. Any beginner starting out with this program sets themselves and their horse up for a rewarding experience. The TRT team has also been super responsive and helpful with any questions, highly recommend 🙏 Tristan’s humour is the icing on the cake

There are many horse training methods. This is the only one with step by step instruction and explanation that works on a deep relationship level no matter what the discipline.

I recently watched an episode that was sent my email. It was exactly my issues with my horse ! Gets stuck in front end, then can spook. I loved how it showed the crossover from groundwork to riding. I have been trying this with my horse although I can’t sit quite with my legs off as I don’t have the balance to sit the spook but I do lighten them. Just rest them. Thanks for showing us horses with real issues in real situations.
And yes my horse doesn’t like it when footing changes colour too!

I’ve been subscribed to the newsletter for a couple of years and although I have bought several of the TRT courses I’ve come here just to say that even if you don’t spend a singular penny, the newsletter and the free content available online can make a real difference in how anyone relates to their horse/s!

The most recent video dated August 23, 2026 “He just freezes…” had me in tears. The OBVIOUS change in the horse in how he felt about himself was heart-wrenchingly touching and beautiful!!! I’m an equine body worker and witnessing how much relaxation and confidence can be achieved with just giving the horse information about him- or herself in how they can relate to the environment is simple breathtaking!! Amazing stuff!!

TRT Method has revolutionised my relationship with horses, and specifically with my own. It teaches us to listen to the horse, use approaches that are full of understanding, are kind and compassionate and based in pure logic and reasoning. Scientific research backs up the learning techniques. Tristan’s teachings are a breath of fresh air for the stale, outdated, ‘traditional’ equestrian methods. TRT should be the default training approach for all horses, in my opinion. It is not a quick fix and does not work overnight, but gives you a consistent, clear and reproducible way to interact with your horse in every moment that you are together. Scary situations become training opportunities.
Understanding that for your horse to find balance and suppleness, you need to speak the same language on the ground and in the saddle. Searching to find the way forward for you and your horse, teaching him how to let the energy flow through his body in the correct way and listening to each piece of communication that your horse tells you will give you a constantly developing journey for the rest of your days together. The best money spent for any equestrian!!

A well structured training program, with clear explanations as to why and how each step helps the horse. Training modules are easily navigated, and a welcoming, helpful community, plus a monthly Q&A with Tristan have helped my horses and I to progress more than I imagined possible. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to better understand their horse and discover a higher level of communication.

The quality of the online training product. The clarity of the actual doing through the videos and explanations. The tech is excellent and works. The Q&As. The clear and concise guidance. The feedback from Tristan and or other members in the community. The support Team. The quick reaction time. The schooling tools that can be purchased via the website shop are of excellent quality and balance. I have been a member for about 4 years and have used the training with success of several horses (not all my own).

For me, following the TRT method has cast everything I thought I knew about horses in a completely new light. I can highly recommend that every horse lover explores Tristan's approach. You get an incredible amount for the money invested.

Excellent courses! Support and help from other members of the TRT community is so important and valuable. Great Q&As where you can send in videos and ask questions directly to Tristan. Really great resource for people to help their horses. I joined 2 years ago and I recommend this on line training.

This is the first time I found a method that I understod and that I was able to have a real conversation with my horse.

This course is wonderful! It has made an enormous difference with my horses. With all of the information available it is easy to learn and follow. Also an unbelievable community, very engaging and positive!!

We have a lot of young horses and old horses, and TRT works with them all with all the different challenges we are working through and their tensions, and build trust - particularly with my mini Prix show jumper whose tension was prohibiting us from getting on the truck or to the ring. Now we are still working through the trust relationship, but we are in the ring and even getting ribbons. The huddle app is very easy to use, with great instructions and clips and a community support page, as well as specific assistance based on your own videos and animal.

The hands-on, live, educative contents of their courses are little gold-mines of information and experience. The fact that you can replay the content, and in so doing, you can work alongside the steps that are shown at your own speed, is very valuable. Their follow-up of live participants and viewing participants is excellent too. If you don't have easy physical access to people with these skills, then their courses are well worth the investment. It will help you on your own equestrian journey, you will know yourself better and, most importantly, create understandable, mutual communication with your horse. Absolutely recommended!
