I contacted TrueEditors to edit my dissertation before final submission. I found the work to be accurate and error-free. The recommended changes were largely appropriate and showed attention to detail.

I'm unsure if TrueEditors is a scam or an AI service, but what I do know is that they are dishonest. When they are unable to defend themselves, they simply stop responding (1 week now). In my case, I asked them to clarify the difference between the service they provided and the options of 'Copy editing,' 'Line editing,' or 'Developmental editing.' They couldn't explain; instead, before they stopped responding me, they claimed it was a translation job, despite my not sending them the French text. I can confirm this because I did the translation myself and only sent them the English version. They mentioned translation because I informed them about my work. Is it the AI that misunderstood? :D I don’t know! So what's the issue here? I paid $384 for a 20-day delivery! Had I chosen 'Copy editing,' it would have been $66 for a 48-hour delivery. Why did I pay $384? Well, I wrote a fairy tale in French, and I wanted their assistance in making it 100% American, both linguistically and culturally. I provided extensive information, and they responded with lengthy emails. Initially, I was satisfied. However, after 21 days (despite their promise of 20 days), I received the work and was greatly disappointed. I had been eagerly anticipating it every day, with a countdown to the 20-day mark, but the final product was far from satisfactory. They provided only 'Proofreading' or at best, 'Copy editing.' Out of 10 comments, only 1 had an explanation; the rest were simple 'yes/no' responses. On the other hand, when I sent my French text for proofreading to a very professional guy in France, I also sent him 16 questions and I received 16 answers in return! All this with proofreading, after 5 days!! The total word count of those answers was 617!!! I paid only 60.50 euros; next time I will pay him more, because he truly did a very good work. But back to TrueEditors, they are just a dishonest service…

Quick turn around and was able to do what I asked. Very relieved when I read the returned product as I was unsure what to expect. I used the paraphrasing service since I needed some help with the flow and clarity.

I paid a premium for eight-hour turnaround for last-minute editing of a midterm assignment, but the paper was not returned within the promised time frame.

The first line of the *edited* paper read: "During their stay at the medical intensive care unit (MICU) of a large academic medical center, More than half of patients admitted to anticipated to require invasive mechanical ventilation."

And the phrase "Top of Form" appeared nine times in the "perfectly edited" document.

The company initially argued that the opening sentence they provided was perfectly edited and grammatically correct.

Then they asked me to highlight all of the problems with their edits--to proofread their copy --and return it.

I did not have time to review all of the blatant errors in their copy (see at least two in the opening sentence above), wait for them to correct their edits, review their second attempt at copyediting, then apply the changes and submit my paper. I had to move ahead without their help, as they were unable to provide the service promised.

I submitted a second document on the same day. They did not deliver any copy for the second document and did not refund my purchase price.

I choose true editors to do the proofreading for my college academic essay. I opted for a 12-hour, university-level essay proofreading service for which I paid 139 euros. First of all, when I received the document from true editor is over 12hours. After reading the document, I feel strange about the document. So I tried to test the after proofreading essay on Turnitin. And Turnitin said that essay got 86% AI %. So I asked true editors what’s going on and let them give me a refund and they didn't respond, they just told me they could re-editing it, and I said no, I just needed a refund, and nobody ever responded to my message again. The reason why I don’t need re-edit is that I have to submit the essay at that night, and their response about re-edit is too late for me. Besides they said my ai report was wrong and not reliable . They kept stressing that they were manual proofreading and did not use any ai, so I asked them to prove that in the end, they used copyleaks to prove that the ai rate of the article was 0, but I tested it again with copyleaks and the ai rate was still over 20%. I wonder if we're not using a same site.
