We know that finding suitable care can often be very difficult and we want to make this easier for those receiving care, their families and/or healthcare professionals. Kind, caring, considerate

Sharma was kind and caring and looked after my husband after a recent operation. We felt she was very concerned for his welfare and as he still had poor mobility and was confined to bed, kept checking on him regularly. She also looked after our little dog, Sophie, who obviously took quite a shine to her!

The administrators were helpful and…

The administrators were helpful and friendly. But we needed emergency help (someone returning home after broken ankle), it was hard to talk properly to the proposed carer beforehand, she missed the first meeting, and turned out to be not appropriate. No one warned us of the £18 'Short-term booking fee'. I'd advise anyone needing sudden help to talk carefully to several proposed carers in advance, whatever the urgency!

We always aim to support families as quickly and smoothly as possible, particularly when care is needed at very short notice following a hospital discharge or sudden change in circumstances.

We appreciate your comments regarding communication around both the proposed carer and the short-term booking fee. Although this fee was discussed during the booking process, we understand that situations like this can feel overwhelming when trying to arrange urgent care for a loved one. As a gesture of goodwill, we have therefore refunded the fee.

We were also sorry to hear that the initial carer arrangement was not the right fit and appreciate you taking the time to speak with us further afterwards.

We wish your mother all the very best with her recovery.

Recommend without reservation

The team have been very effective and efficient, the process simple. I talked about our needs, received multiple resumes, decided who to video interview and then meet in person. Care for your loved ones is crucially important and in the end depends on the person actually providing the care. We couldn’t be more confident in Lindsay. She is exceeding all my and our expectations, has very quickly settled in and making a great difference.

Total disappointment

I have worked with Truston Tap as a carer not long before, and I would never do it again, and I would not advise anyone to work with them.
In February 2026, they made me two different contracts with a client, five hours paid hourly and one live-in day for the first week, as a trial, and starting with the second week, five hours and two live-in days. I did not want to continue after the first week, because it was a total abuse. After I finished the five hours and the one live-in day, the client aaked me to stay one more night to look after his mother, who needed help overnight and no one was there, without paying me, and he wanted me to do so every week. He abused me financially and emotionally, lying that I wanted what he decided actually, and that was in my best interest (which was not true). He did not give me breaks for the live-in days, and no room to live, he let me sleep in his office overnight, but during the day he came to work on his computer there, while I was staying with his mother.
When I told Truston Tap Support that I do not want to continue, after the trial week, that lady shouted at me and refused to help me see the list with the other jobs. And the client tried to bribe me and give me £100, to go on with what he wanted.
I agreed to go to more week to work for that client, because I had no money. And on the day when the contract was for the five hours, I started one hour earlier, as the client asked, and his mother to bed two hours later than he planned, so I worked eight hours instead of five. Next day, the client told me again not to submit all the eight hours worked, because, 'he would not spend so much money with me'. I told him I wanted to leave, and he called Truston Tap to force me to stay. The lady from the Truston Tap support shouted at me again and threatened me that they would break the contract with me and pay me nothing for what I had worked if I leave. More, she told me she would do I do not know what to affect my DBS. I still left, and she closed my Truston Tap account, indeed.
I made a complaint and they call me and apologize and said to submit everything I worked to pay me.
Instead of paying according to the two contracts, hourly paid, plus live-in days, Truston Tap used the night I worked overtime without being paid, as the client asked me, to translate everything in a live-in payment. So, practically, they paid me the 13 hours I worked and should have been paid with £24 / h, with £5 / h, and ironically, they used the night that the abuser made me do it for free, against me! Truston Tap did not care about the situation, about how I was treated, even if I told them everything, including that he tried to bribe me, to make not submit my work and work with no break and no room give-in for live-in care. The client wanted to pay all hours as live-in hours (and made me stay one more night every week for free) and Truston Tap really did so, and cut off the hours I worked and submitted to please him!
For their reputation and money clients are more important, the carers can be replaced any time.
Of course, they can answer anything, BUT this is the truth!
Be very careful with them. You may not have this tyoe of clients, but if you have, Truston Tap will act as you have no importance!

We are sorry that this placement did not work out as hoped and that you were dissatisfied with the outcome.

Following your concerns, TrustonTap conducted a formal review of the placement, including reviewing timesheets, communications, booking records and payment calculations. As part of this process, payments were recalculated and adjustments were made where appropriate to ensure the account accurately reflected the care provided.

The central issue in this matter related to a disagreement regarding the interpretation of a live-in care booking structure and how overnight periods should be categorised and paid. We do not accept a number of the allegations and characterisations contained within this review, and our findings differed from those presented here.

TrustonTap takes all concerns raised by carers seriously and investigates them thoroughly. We would never expect a carer to work unpaid and would always encourage any concerns regarding working conditions, accommodation or payment to be raised with our team so they can be reviewed promptly.

Whilst we regret that agreement could not be reached, we wish you well for the future.

High quality care and support

After an initial meeting with P, both my relative and I who I care for, felt quite at ease. P is an experienced carer who displays compassion and thoughtful companionship to my relative and gives me support too. I would recommend TrustonTap for their professional management and empathetic approach to clients.

Trustontap were very helpful in setting up a suitable PA to assist with the live-in carer’s leave entitlement. To date this seems to be working very well and both carers and my sister are happy with the current arrangements.
