My first group trip and I’m so glad I did it with TruTravels. The trip was a great balance of relaxing and adventure. The trip leader Alejandro made the trip extra special. I will definitely travel with them again!

having tru travel take care of accomodation, excursions and travel within the tour felt like a weight off my shoulders for my first two weeks solo travelling on the ‘North Thailand Tour.’ it also nurtures an environment where building a relationship with fellow travellers comes with ease. my tour guide Eve was not only so informative, patient and supportive but equally as fun, chatty and entertaining. i knew i had eves help whether it was regarding the next excursion or what bar we should go to that night. there was such a variety of ages on my tour, for example im 19 and one of my closest friends on the trip was 34. would 100% recommend tru travel!!!

Surya IS THE BEST BEST EVER!!! He is so well rounded from keeping it professional to somehow being so funny at the same time and so sweet and kind and genuine. He literally would not touch his food until he made sure that everyone had their correct orders and that it wasn’t spicy or for those that liked spice that it was spicy. He is so knowledgeable about everything and everywhere anyone could ask him questions about anything and he would have such a lengthy well thought out anwser he truly just knows everything a man of it all. He is so amazing !! I have kind of been detoured Alittle from group trips because of how mean all the girls on Zoe’s trip were they literally bullied me the whole time but he always made me feel welcome and safe he literally sat with me at meals when no one else would he’s the one single acceptation that would make me go on a group trip again as long as he was my GUIDE BECAUSE HE IS FULLY THE BEST EVER. He truly looked out for me and everyone in a way my best friends would I appreciate him so much. He made all of us feel so welcome and never judged anyone!! He always made sure our rooms were perfect and even got food changed out if it wasn’t right. It’s so great to have conversations with him he just knows everything. One night I had food poisoning and thought I was going to die thankfully he always carries the neccecarry pills and anything we would need on him. He truly goes above and beyond what his job title probably is. When I was sick I put him and my mom in a group chat together in case he needed to contact her. As I call her every day she was very aware of the situation going on and she fully sent him a paragraph thanking him for all his trust and support on the other side of the world she literally said she didn’t know what would’ve happened to me if he wasn’t there and that is so completely true he was the only single human on the whole trip besides two nice girls who made me feel welcome, liked and safe the whole time. Words don’t do this man justice I am beyond grateful for him to have been my first guide I don’t think I’d ever want anyone else he’s too amazing and perfect in every way. He goes out of his way to go over the top to make sure the trip is perfect even if some of us have a side quest idea he somehow makes it happen. I forgot to mention a lot because there’s 2 weeks plus of goodness I have to speak on him but an amazing perk is he is THE BEST photographer so you’re going to be getting the best photos if you go on a trip with him and the even more wild thing is he does it all from his iPhone he truly deserves a camera I can’t imagine what he would be able to do with that. All my friends are also incredibly greatful for him looking out for me this was my first group trip and I have done nothing but rave to my friends about him he’s truly #1. I can’t wait to keep up with him and see all the fabulous things he does is life can’t wait to be at his award ceremony for #1 guide because I fully know in my heart he will get there. Entirely greatful for Surya I would never ever have survived the trip without you thank you so much for being the best all around inside and out you glow your energy is so high you radiate light !! Thank you for everything you do in going above and beyond. I can’t wait for our next trip together!

I went on the total Thailand tour for 27 days. Milin, Pause and Taro were our tour guides and they were amazing! Super funny and welcoming, they knew all the best spots and really looked after us. They always gave us recommendations during our free time and they were really excited to show us Thailand’s culture. The transition from one tour to another was really smooth and they helped us travel from one location to another to meet our next tour guide. Overall had an amazing trip and would definitely recommend!

Our tour guide Ming was the best! She made everyone feel welcome and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time and made sure we were all safe!

Japan has been on my bucket list for so many years and I feel very privileged to have been able to see it with a tour guide that is so knowledgeable and experienced, it was wonderful. Morgan is an incredible tour guide, his personality shines through. He is very funny, kind, and made you feel like more like a friend. I felt like I was in very safe hands for this trip, his navigation was so seamless it made things really easy for us. The tour itself was incredible, so many highlights visiting places/restaurants that is credit to the TruTravels itinerary and Morgan’s own recommendations. I would thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone, the best way to see Japan as you just can’t get the same in depth experience without it. Core memories made!

I had a great time on the February GWT Legends of Japan trip. I was initially apprehensive with it being a small group but had an amazing time and really got to know the other girls. Our tour guide Morgan was so knowledgable about Japanese culture and history and provided an incredible experience. He made sure everyone was having a great time, consistently going above and beyond for the group, and really helped me out when I lost my bullet train ticket! From the seamless logistics to his spot-on food recommendations, he made the entire experience effortless and was fun and easy to be around. Activities such as the samurai class and sake tasting were highlights, as well as seeing Mount Fuji twice!

I had an amazing trip with morgan in Feb in Japan.

I spent 13 days in India with Surya as our tour guide.
Surya you’re an AMAZING person and tour leader. I’ve had so much fun and laughed with tears everyday! We fitted in so many activities - a lot of which I wouldn’t have been able to organise on my own. I’ve learnt a lot about Indian culture and will be taking home memories I’ll cherish forever. Anything we needed or wanted you sorted for us - you made the whole experience extra special! I felt safe and valued at all times on the trip.

I would love to return to India for another trip with Surya as our guide! I couldn’t have wished for a better guide to explore India with <333

The India tour was amazing from the moment it started! It has been an incredible 13 days packed full of fun and so many enjoyable activities!
Our guide Surya was incredible! The most amazing tour guide who made us all feel safe at all times! He gave us so much information about everywhere we visited and made sure we were having fun all the time! He is an incredible tour guide and person and deserves all the recognition!
Because of this tour I would love to visit India again, and explore some new cities

Tour guide Surya was amazing! His insider knowledge of the cities we visited helped us feel safe. His historical commentary was educational and entertaining.
The itinerary was jam packed. So much was covered in 10 days and the transport and accomodation was excellent value for money.
What Tru Travels are doing with their People Planet Promise initiative is what makes this trip different from others, we learned about different charities/NGOs that are working to give children and women a better life after hardship.
I will absolutely travel with Tru Travels again and would hope to see Surya again in a different part of India one day

From the moment he introduced himself i felt that we'd always known him. There is absolutely nothing Surya could have done more to make this trip more perfect. He is the kindest human being I have ever met and he didn't just show us India he showed us his home. This trip was absolutely amazing and Surya was an absolute pleasure to meet and to have as our tour guide. I really hope our paths cross again and he continues to do this as I have not met anyone who is as genuine and open hearted as him.

The india uncovered tour was so incredible! Our guide Surya was beyond amazing and made the trip 10x better. Exploring India and being able to get involved in the culture was surreal. The tour was great overall. The tour guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable. From day one I felt included and welcome. The group gelled quickly and I feel like I’ve made a new bunch of best friends.

This was such an amazing tour! Ming was the best tour guide, everything was so well organised, and she always made sure we were having a great time. She created a really safe and inclusive environment for everyone and truly went above and beyond.

We had a brilliant time on our tour of Sri Lanka! We had a very in-depth itinerary which allowed us to return home feeling we saw everything the country has to offer. Our guide, Hasi, was very organised and incredibly knowledgeable. You could ask him any question and he was guaranteed to know the answer. He was very good at time-keeping and you could be sure you would arrive everywhere according to the exact itinerary. His love for Sri Lanka shone through and it's nice to see someone so passionate about their homeland. This was particularly the case when on the safari. He taught us all there was to know about Asian elephants and his love for these animals made the experience so magical and enjoyable for us. All in all, Hasi was a terrific tour guide who made our Sri Lankan experience so special!!!

Honestly our tour guide Ming was who made the trip for us. She was absolutely amazing and just so helpful and insightful there the whole trip!
