Fake discount ( fraud)?

There was a temporary discount (with a timer), offering 5 months instead of 3 (i have screenshots of the offer). But when proceeding, it only apply 3 (which seem to be the usual discount). I tried to submit the issue but they say everything is "normal".
The bad faith is worth this evaluation.

User Privacy gets 0 respect

Tryhackme has good rooms and walkthroughs, but the thing that is really unacceptable is their new "AI Training project" planning to use all users data for their new AI pentesting agent. Does not respect user privacy, this is really pathetic. Using ALL users data without any asking for permissions, and only way to opt-out is by deleting your account. This is ridiculous.

Great place to learn hacking

The rooms are very easy to understand, and I feel like I'm learning a lot. I have premium which feels like a good bargain to be able to access any rooms and also use the attack box instead of using a machine on your own network.

An incredible hands-on platform for anyone learning cybersecurity!

An incredible hands-on platform for anyone learning cybersecurity!”

TryHackMe is hands down one of the best platforms I’ve used to learn and practice cybersecurity skills. Whether you’re an absolute beginner or already working in the field, the structured learning paths (like “Complete Beginner” or “Pre-Security”) make complex concepts approachable and fun.

What really sets TryHackMe apart is the interactive, browser-based virtual labs — no setup needed. You can dive straight into real-world scenarios: penetration testing, network exploitation, malware analysis, and blue teaming. It’s like learning by doing, not just reading.

I also love the gamified learning approach. Earning badges, ranking up on the leaderboards, and completing daily challenges really kept me motivated. The community is active and supportive, and the walkthroughs are excellent if you ever get stuck.

Since using TryHackMe consistently, I’ve gained more confidence, built a stronger technical foundation, and even felt more prepared for certifications like CompTIA Security+ and OSCP.

If you’re serious about cybersecurity, I 100% recommend giving TryHackMe a try. It’s practical, affordable, and genuinely enjoyable.

Great for beginners but no service or support

I signed up for TryHackMe on July 26 due to issues I was facing with a buggy virtual machine for the Advent of Cyber 2 (2020) room and I paid for premium believing that is why it was acting up.
In short the VM wouldn’t allow cookie editing like the tutorials claimed. I spent over two hours trying different methods with no success. Eventually I had to set up OpenVPN and access it via my desktop to access via chrome due to issues with Firefox.

I contacted them over a week ago explaining why I upgraded and how t mad no difference to my experience and that as it was the same day that I paid I would appreciate a refund as I don't see any value in the paid subscription for me personally at the moment.

I have been ignored completely, I followed up on 30th July and still nothing. This is not what I expected from a paid service. I reached out to support the same day to request a refund.

I’ve now had to file a dispute with my bank because TryHackMe took my money and gave me nothing in return. No value, no help and no response.

I do not recommend paying for premium. If something breaks you’re left on your own.
