Firstly, the product is excellent – I highly recommend and I will definitely be purchasing a few more lights for a couple of built-in wardrobes. We had a very frustrating experience with delivery due... See more

Order took over a month to arrive with very little communication. When the order eventually did arrive one of them was broken. Sent proof via photos but customer service refusing to believe it and wasting time by just asking for further photos to the point I’ve given up. For what it’s worth the one light that did arrive unbroken is very good!

Over a month later and still no lamp…. Same story as the others - no tracking info and constantly told it’ll be another 4-7 days.
Their site gives you the impression they ship locally - this is NOT the case. It’s a scam - avoid!!!

Updated review - my previous review from 5 May stated the item was not received after a month (ordered on 2 April) and I had not received the requested tracking information. I then finally received the information approx 2hrs after I sent a further email asking them to cancel my order and reimburse me if it had not been sent - and I finally received my item today (May 10). Items are in working order, but I would not order again given the length of time and amount of chasing I had to do to get it.

Just a quick note to say thank you for your prompt and generous response to my request. I needed to move one of my lights and damaged the lamp holder, contacted the company, their response was to send me the whole unit free of charge. Other companies should take note, well done and many thanks.ps I have 4 lights all working fine.

The Illuminate strip were ideal for our wardrobes and drinks cabinet. Customer service was good too.

Great lights for under our kitchen cabinets. Unfortunately, I’m going a little crackers constantly recharging them. Estimate 4 days between charges.

Be aware that the 30cm lights have a different sensor to the 20cm and 50cm models. The latter will activate even in reasonably bright ambient light - so they are good for adding extra light to kitchen worktops. The 30cm will only activate in genuinely dark surroundings so they are no good for adding a little extra light. To illuminateCo's credit, they sent me extra 20cm lights when I pointed out the issue (as others have noted, they required a video demonstrating the problem).
Edit in response to illuminateCo's reply: I have already sent the videos to your operative Klea, and they have already sent me a replacement 20cm light, which I am grateful for.

Several of my lights stopped working. I sent an email and within 48 hrs. I was contacted and told replacements were on the way. They made the process so easy. They stand by their lifetime warranty.

Would not process a return for non-functional item without creating a video and sending it in.

These people are scammers
I would very much discourage anybody from buying from this company. The customer service is an appalling joke, the website does not make it clear where the items are shipped from and what their lead time is, and their returns system is an out-and-out scam.
After having seen some recommendations for this company, I decided to try some of their under-cabinet lights. They were expensive, some similar ones are sold on e-Bay, and they didn't promise anything more special than other similar products on the market, but I thought I'd give them a try and see what all the fuss was about.
A week after placing my order, I asked their customer service to cancel my order, as I needed my items more quickly than they seemed to be able to deliver even though I'd paid extra for express shipping, but was told that my order couldn't be cancelled as it'd been sent to their shipping partner. This was untrue, however, and I had to chase their customer service three times after that because I paid for express shipping, but no shipping had happened even after three weeks since placing my order; their customer service only apologised without offering a solution and dodged my specific questions about when I'd get my order by saying they were working as hard as they can to ship it out, repeatedly failing to mention any timeframes.
After that, I did some investigating online, only to find they're an Asian company purporting to be a western company, meaning the very short order turnaround time they promise on their website for U.K. orders is untenable in the first place.
After 6-7 weeks, I finally received my order, but got in touch with them in order to return it straight away because I bought the same items elsewhere (I'll get into that shortly...). I was given instructions for the return, told to send it to an address in London where their 'independent shipping partner' would send the goods back to their undisclosed business address (in China, I think). I did this, only to find my return cannot be delivered to the address I was given because nobody is at the address. I've emailed the customer service twice to ask about this, but nobody has replied yet, even though it's been over a week.
I'd like to add I got a similar product from e-Bay whilst I was waiting for my order to be delivered by illuminateCo. This turned out to be the same manufacturer, exactly the same model as the illuminateCo item, and for a third of the price. This clearly adds to how much of a scam this company and their products are. I'm now getting in touch with the bank to report this company and try to get the credit card charge reversed. Shame on you illuminateCo!

Very easy to install, plus the battery in each light, once fully charged, lasts a reasonable time before recharging.

This is a fantastic company. There is great customer support from beginning to end. Jillian was very informed and goes the xtra mike for the customer. The lights are fantastic and look really good. Thanks
Jillian for your time.

I was unhappy with the initial product I received, the “bottom of the line” version of strip lights. But illuminate’s customer service rep, Jillian, was fantastic and helped me get some lights I am now very happy with. Thank you, Jillian!!!!!

I lOVE the under cabinet lights! It’s exactly what we needed in our kitchen. We use the motion sensor and it is perfect. I was having to recharge them every couple days though. I talked to customer support and they have been very helpful.

I made a mistake in my order and ended up ordering twice. I decided to keep both orders and thought I qualified for the 15% for ordering more than 4 lights. When it was explained to me that I ordered two of one style and one of the other I realized I made a second mistake on my original order. Since the lights had not shipped they were able to correct my mistake and now I have 4 new lights coming to go along with the 6 I already have. We love the lights, over time we have figured out the charging schedule and we love the customer service. Great company to deal with.

Great product, great service. We love the lights in our kitchen and was really pleased when they replaced one (stopped charging) outside of the warranty period.

The positives:
- I like the sleek design
- very easy to install
- I have the warm light and it gives off a nice light
The cons:
- The battery charge does not last long, especially if you have it on the non-motion sensor.
- I have most of the lighting as under cabinet in my kitchen. I put them on for a party for nice ambient lighting. The lights died within 3-4 hours of use.
- When I use motion setting for my closets, the battery lasts a few weeks.
I wish the battery charge could last longer. I feel like I am constantly charging each light.

The design is nice and easy to install, but the charge doesn’t last long. Constantly charging it. Not worth the money.

I was waiting for this item for over two months. When it finally arrived the product was very cheap plastic looking. The light stopped working after 7 months. The only contact email "try illuminate support" email address on their website ignored all my requests/emails. This product was suggested to me by Instagram and I would never buy it again as I feel like I was scammed.
