Great tent, dispatched and delivered safe and quickly. (During covid19 lockdown) I called for installation advice after normal office hours and Dara was fantastic help, a second to none service. 100% recommend

Had made plans for 2 years during a vehicle rebuild for overland expedition / camping trips. The first trip was to travel to Nordkapp in the Arctic Circle and the Baltics. The trip was flexible but plans allowed for up to 3 months travel. The roof top tent was key amongst the items researched, both soft top and hard shell tents. A number of friends who also had roof top tents from a variety of companies gave feedback and context and I finally settled upon a Tuff Trek TT02 with the annex.
I found the website gave me ample information regarding construction, materials and importantly weight. During the rebuild and construction of my vehicle plans for living space, cooking space and positioning of the tent were made.

The tent was ordered and arrived as informed by Tuff Trek via correspondence. The packing was considerable and there was no damage on its arrival. Instructions from the company to check everything before signing for the delivery were made and I fitted the tent with a friend who works on a fleet of overland vehicles based in the Scottish Borders.
He was impressed by the build quality and the thought which had gone into the design. The fittings were first class and even came with tools to complete the erection. The poly-cotton material was substantial, the ladder and its extension (Needed for a Defender 110) were well made and the annex, its carrier and the other items for the windows, the rods were of a good quality. I also ordered the storm cover. This subsequently proved essential on a number of occasions in the Arctic and was a good investment. The zips, fly nets, grab straps for ascending/descending were a great touch as well as the elasticated internal ties to draw the tent inwards on collapsing it.
Overall it appeared really well designed and comprehensively thought through.
We did a trial overnight trip to a campsite in Peebles, Scottish Borders and erected the annex as well. The living space provided is large and has a number of permutations for a zipped in floor to be attached or not depending on the requirements.
The 1.4 m tent was actually incredibly spacious. I had visited the workshop referred to above were my friend worked and checked out the numerous alternatives. It gave me an insight of a 1.2 m sleeping area and the 1.4m proved a huge improvement and a good decision on purchase.
The overnight trial was a great success. However, it was only when we commenced our expedition (August/September 2019) that we truly began to live with the tent. Its very comfortable and the mattress provided surpassed our expectations. Nothing broke, tore, detached in anyway throughout the trip and I can thoroughly recommend the TT02 soft top tent.
I recently contacted Tuff Trek regarding a minor adjustment I thought might need done (Having the time to do so in the current pandemic) Tuff Trek were super and were happy to advise and go over in detail the requirements. Can’t fault the service in any way. Excellent service and support and I would strongly recommend this company and product. Well done Tuff Trek.

What a fantastic company, service brilliant, I bought my 1.8 rooftent from them ,from the first phone call I knew I had made the right choice. The information about the tent and everything about it including roof rack brackets brilliant ,ordered the tent arrived on time everything there could not be better.

After searching the internet for my first roof top tent for future expeditions and not being able to decide between various manufacturers. I decided to ring Tuff trek for some information on their products.

What I received was a comprehensive breakdown on their products along with the pros and cons between the two items I was considering.

The information was so concise and descriptive that I could picture exactly how the tent would behave , how it would be fitted, look like and the differences between the different units. I was also provided with the companies back story which added with the information provided about the tent filled me with the confidence to make the right decision.

The decision was made to purchase a TT02 PRO which arrived on schedule perfectly packaged.

I had decided to fit my tent with a friend who is the owner of a well established brand of Roof Tent.
He was amazed by the build quality and the thought which had gone into the design. Things which proved to be difficult on his design such as attaching awnings,, straps to provide confidence when descending the ladder, excellent straps for the cover, pull out extension poles for the fly sheet, aluminium checker plate on the base.
His parting comment was when his tent needs to be replaced he will buy one of these.

The materials of the tent are of really high quality as the fabric was a major concern but these where concerns where reduced following my call with Dara and totally removed now it is in my possession.

Hey I purchased the tuff trek 2 soft roof tent from tuff trek and it was first class service all the way.
I called them and spoke to dara who really knows his stuff, delivery was next day and very well packed. Instructions were great and easy to follow although I still called dara and he explained a few things. I've used my tent 4 nights in total during the winter. And I must say its fab!

Been using Tufftrek for 4 years now bought most of my overlanding gear from there;

A rsi canopy that was supplied and fitted then went back for extras for it

A Tufftrek expedition tent

A tuff trek wing awning that was then replaced by a ostrich wing awning both supplied by Tufftrek I only swapped awnings to colour match with the tent

A host of smaller overlanding gear like chairs storage and cooking equipment

No matter how big or small the order is the guys at Tufftrek have always made time to discuss the order over the phone to make sure it meats the needs and always offered competitive prices and swift delivery they do not pressure sell nor do they oust own brand products but will discuss what product best suits needs and budgets

On the one time a part was faulty it was replaced swiftly and with apologies

The owners have become good friends after meeting at many shows over the last few years and look forward to seeing them again soon and to see what new and innovating products they are bringing to the Uk overlanding scene

Good knowledgable service, good products, good prices. What more do you need ?

Would highly recommend Tuff-Trek for all your Overlanding and vehicle camping needs, they must have one of the best selection and knowledge within the UK, not only that they actually have used alot of the stuff themselves,

Called into Tuff Trek a few years ago to view the TT02 Soft shell roof tent, in the hope that the quality was good and better than a lesser quality tent i previously viewed elsewhere and had my doubts, Was very impressed with how much better built the Tuff Trek soft shell was and the quality of the materials used. Luckily I had my Van with me So purchased a new tent from their large stock there and then! Dara was very helpful in explaining the materials used on the tent and specifications for that model. Would definitely recommend a tuff trek roof top tent for anyone who is unsure of which brand to go for and want the best value for money.

Have had dealing with tuff trek since a very early stage in their business, have had roof tent and 270 degree awning with room and rear door organiser from them. All products about 6 years old now and still performing faultless and the new products are even better quality. Keep wanting to update so i keep checking their products but as my older equipment is not worn out I'm in no rush.
Customer service and advice is great and no pressure selling. Highly recommended.
