"Rustic" as excuse for poor quality

This company uses the phrase "rustic" to justify really, really poor workmanship.

14 week delivery turned into 20 weeks, even though we removed the requirement to stain and finish the doors (no price adjustment for scope reduction).

The doors were utterly unusable as received. Extensively marred with mill-finish planer marks and deep machine-made gouges. Clearly never even sanded. Caulk oozing out around the glass windows.

When these deficiencies were brought to their attention they refused any type of action or compensation. They just used the shield of "rustic" as their defense.

Probably the worst vendor we've ever dealt with.
