I couldn’t recommend him more.
Working with Jarell at Turncurrent for the last year has genuinely been one of the most valuable experiences I’ve had, both personally and professionally.
What makes his approach so interesting is the way he combines psychotherapy with technology, using AI-assisted transcripts, written reflections and what he calls “mirrors” to help you understand yourself beyond the sessions.
There’s something incredibly revealing about reading your own words back, especially when they’re presented in a way that helps you recognise patterns, behaviours and ways of thinking you might never have noticed otherwise. The reports have helped me reflect on things long after our conversations have ended, and sometimes I’ve understood more from revisiting them than I did in the moment.
One thing I’ve come to appreciate enormously is his sense of timing. Looking back, I can recognise things he probably noticed about me quite early on but deliberately chose not to confront immediately. Instead, he allowed me to arrive at certain realisations when I was actually ready to understand them. And that made those moments far more meaningful and effective than simply having someone tell me what I was doing wrong.
I’ve also worked with Jarell as both my therapist and my coach, and I think the combination is particularly powerful. Because he understands how my mind works, his coaching isn’t generic advice. He knows when to challenge me, when to encourage me, and when to steer me away from decisions that aren’t necessarily in my best interests. That understanding has made our work together more focused and, in many cases, helped me reach better decisions much faster.
Since starting to work with him, I’ve noticed a genuine change in how I approach my life, my relationships and my work. I’m more self-aware, more accountable and much more connected to what’s actually happening around me rather than getting lost in my own interpretation of things.
And perhaps the most meaningful part is that other people have noticed those changes too.
I still have plenty to work on, but I genuinely like the direction my life is taking, and Jarell has played an important part in that.
I couldn’t recommend him more.
