Misogynistic, patronising and unprofessional
Booked and pre-paid for a taxi two weeks in advance for my colleagues at midnight on Friday. By 00:10 the taxi had not arrived so I gave them a call and the man who picked up was the rudest, most misogynistic, patronising man I have ever spoken to. He spoke to me as if I was dirt on the bottom of his shoe and proceeded to ask me questions such as “Do you even know what company you’ve called?” implying that I was incompetent (I was completely sober and had successfully booked taxis for my other 40 colleagues). I am confident that I was only
spoken to in this manner because I am a woman. He then proceeded to argue with me that he had never received my booking and then after insisting I had for 10 minutes, he tried to say I had not paid. After putting me on hold countless times and FINALLY agreeing to send our taxi, I waited for 40 minutes (it is a 27 minute drive) with my colleagues in the freezing cold when I had to call them back to check it was even on its way. That is when the man admitted he had made a mistake and apologised, only after I said I would be calling again on Monday to claim a refund. I was offered £10 off for a £90 taxi that turned up AN HOUR LATE and a misogynistic, patronising, accusatory phone call where I was told I never booked a taxi in the first place.
Disgustingly unprofessional. Do not recommend, especially for women.
