Movers were professional & courteous
Movers were professional & courteous. Explained everything as far as their invoices, etc. Dorian, Cedric, & Sawyer were on time, took care of what we needed moved, and were done within an hour! I was very pleased with their performance.
Damages, Fraud (stolen money, Did not complete job
Nature of the Dispute:
The business, Two Men and a Truck Moving Company from Doral, was hired to provide moving services, which included packing, moving, and unpacking. The service was scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM, and they were instructed to move items into an identical unit and set them up exactly as they were in the original location.
However, when three movers arrived, they arrived late and two movers left immediately. This forced us to hire additional movers to complete the job. Two new movers were sent by the company, but they arrived several hours later. Our building has strict time limits for using the service elevator, which created significant logistical issues for us due to the delay.
Throughout the process, our internal movers handled all the packing and the majority of the moving tasks that Two Men Moving was responsible for. They also managed the unpacking. By the end of the move, additional unpacking still needed to be done, but the movers sent by the company refused to complete it, stating they wanted to go home.
During the day of the move, I was connected to two Operations Managers, Jose Lorenz and Julian Montalvo, who assured me that everything would be made right and that we would receive a substantial discount due to the issues we faced. Despite their assurances, no such discount was provided, and the problems persisted.
In addition, the movers who were eventually sent caused extensive damage to several items, resulting in thousands of dollars in losses.
Without prior notice or authorization, the company then charged an additional $947 to our debit card. We were not informed of this charge in advance and only became aware of it through a bank notification. This unauthorized charge is fraudulent.
Efforts to resolve this issue with the General Manager, Alan Jenkins, have been unsuccessful. He has refused to refund the unauthorized charge or compensate for the damages. Furthermore, the company has kept our original $250 deposit.
Requested Resolution:
We are seeking a refund of $250 for the deposit, $947 for the unauthorized charge, and compensation for the damages caused during the move.
I strongly advise against using Two Men and a Truck Moving Company, as their actions have been dishonest and unprofessional.

Our move on 7/27 from Ocala
Our move on 7/29 from Ocala, FL to Clayton, NC (to the warehouse first for a month) was miserable. We have no complaints with the 2 people who unpacked the truck from the warehouse into our home in NC; however, the 5 men who packed us in Ocala on 7/29/24 were horrible! They actually packed our large china hutch with the glass shelves and china still inside! They packed a Denon receiver partially in a box with tape around it. They packed our kitchen silverware in a box and marked it "Garage," making it impossible to find for over a week! They packed several pieces of artwork with no wrapping or buffer between the pieces in a cardboard box, causing damage to the frames! They cracked my husband's ceramic Kamado Joe Jr. (smoker/grill) and gouged out the beautiful table it was in. They treated our belongings like garbage. They even told us they were in a hurry later in the day because they had things to do! We will NEVER recommend Two Men and A Truck for an interstate move or any other move, for that matter. This is going on Facebook, Google, and anywhere else we can post it.
Disrespectful
Two men and truck out of Ft Wayne, IN sent 3 young guys. One was quiet and nice . However, the other two were totally disrespectful in every way. I had antique dolls to be stored. I overheard one saying, I am putting her dolls upside down. They literally made fun of everything I owned. I even heard guy number 1, tell the other that “if she hears us, you’ll get kicked out”. Worst experience ever for movers.
NOT Recommended - Terrible Experience
This Company by far in all my 73 years experience is the most unprofessional, disrespectful uncaring bunch of renegades you'll ever have the opportunity to work with! Advice: KEEP LOOKING! My valuables were broken, loose slammed into boxes, $100 lamp shades were sandwiched together and just thrown into the truck. My things - 80+ boxes were then delivered to new address and scattered all through out the property. ie. Kitchen was in the garage, BATH was in the kitchen! I was in a real mess - you could not even get into the office. While I was assisting one of the movers inside the home, the other two 'stoners' snuck 30+ boxes into the garage without my knowledge. It all started when they sent their PACKERS 12 days early - I Lived in boxes for what seemed like forever - they packed my coffee! When move day came, 3 Men & a Truck showed up with one problem child-attitude. Everything went OK until they started smoking their vape (pot) pens going back and forth to the truck. But, not all-of-them. One gentlemen fit the description as a "Mover Whom Cared"!
I hired Two Men and a Truck to move my…
I hired Two Men and a Truck to move my furniture and heavy items. My move was set for March 31,2024. The quote I received for the move was $1600 to $1900. I ended up paying $2495. During the move they put gouges in the walls of the old house and the new house. They broke a piece off of my treadmill, they snapped off the water line to the refrigerator and they broke the adjustable frame to my king size bed. They hired Progressive Furniture Refinishing to fix the problems. They fixed the gouges in the old house by 4/4/2024. They fixed the gouges in the new house on 4/10/2024. The treadmill was fixed on 4/2/2024. Dave from Progressive Furniture hired J & S Repair to fix the bed frame when it was clear they couldn’t do it. J & S came out 8 times in over 25 weeks to assess the problem and they couldn’t come up with a solution for over 25 weeks. Totally unacceptable that I had to wait over 25 weeks for my bed frame to work. I would never hire them again. I paid more than the estimate and they broke too many things and I didn’t have a functioning bed frame for 6 months. Just beware this company does not care about their customers.
I used Two Men and a Truck in Kingsport…
I used Two Men and a Truck in Kingsport Tn recently. I’d heard they were good and quick to respond. They moved a very large, heavy , awkward piece of equipment up a steep hill through a narrow door and placed it exactly where I wanted it. They did it in minutes and charged the best price I’d found locally. I highly recommended trying them out. I’ll use them again when I need help
Expensive and unprofessional
Unprofessional, very expensive, and despite saying what furniture went to what address with the addresses stuck on each piece of furniture as a backup they managed to stuff it up.
They moved my safe for me
They moved my safe for me. There were no hidden charges they were professional and polite. They moved it in a timely safe manor and put it right where I wanted it.
They charged me over $1600 to move
They charged me over $1600 to move my 2bdrm apartment of furniture just 5 miles away to their storage. They damaged my entire $3800 leather sectional by stacking the pieces on top of each other. Horrible experience.
Think twice
During the process, the movers appeared rushed and were quite rough with the belongings. As a result, numerous boxes were damaged and some of the bins were compromised. Additionally, heavy boxes were placed on top of lighter ones, causing one box to burst open under the weight.
My primary concern is the cost of $3700. When we initially discussed the pricing, I was told the hefty price tag was due to travel requirements, including an overnight “legally required” stay in Minnesota. However, the movers informed my son they needed to be on the road by 6 PM and planned to return to Wisconsin that same night, with another job scheduled for Saturday morning. When I issued a complaint, I got a lot of song and dance and told it was my son who wanted them to unload same day. Either way, I was told legally they couldn’t. Plus, my son never asked them to unload same day.
They refunded me $300 for the price of a hotel and food for the two movers. I am left wondering, had I not issued a complaint, would I have gotten any refund. I’ve used this company a few times and was surprised and disappointed in their delivery/movers and response. They are risking their reputation for a few hundred dollars. It’s sad. I will not use them again. I don’t trust what they say and felt manipulated.
Dissatisfied
Boxes were upside down so things were falling out of the other boxes in it that contained craft supplies. Some of the boxes that the movers packed some of my things in are extremely difficult for me to handle as a senior citizen and disabled person because they're so huge.
Movers Who Lack Care
Despite their tagline, "Movers Who Care," my experience with Two Men and a Truck was quite the opposite, especially for an out-of-state move.
I called multiple times during the moving process to express my concerns and was assured that someone would follow up, but they did not. I had to follow up several times myself.
The crews arrived hours late for both loading and unloading. Better communication and timely notifications about changes to arrival times would have allowed me to plan accordingly.
I did not receive the required information before the move. At the end of the move, I was asked to sign papers, but the movers referenced a pre-move letter that I should have received days earlier, which had not been sent to me. I had to request and receive critical information days after they shipped my belongings. The movers refused to provide copies of what I signed, even when I asked the claims person. The loading franchise provided incorrect and misleading information that conflicted with other franchises and corporate policies.
Items went missing and were damaged. Due to the franchise's mishandling of documents—documents not provided before the move or during loading—their claims department is refusing accountability. I also believe they interpret rules and policies that are not clearly stated or referenced in the "standard" documents provided. It is especially concerning that these documents were provided only after they had already taken my belongings.
This moving company lacks up-to-date payment and legal agreement software that would provide security and transparency to customers, with measures to protect against fraudulent practices. I do not like being asked to sign a paper without being informed about additional documents that are not clearly identified or referenced on the page you are signing; it is a questionable practice. Additionally, I learned that they stored my credit card information, which I was not informed of when I provided my card details, nor did I provide consent to.
Overall, there is a significant lack of accountability and communication. I am concerned that they may use misleading and deceptive practices.
Two men and a truck moving
The very Best company touse for moving. Team was phenomenal, work together, polite, professional and totally remarkable to deal with. Did a fantastic job moving my home contents to my storage area. I have used this company many times in the past and would not even consider any other company. Cost is great and I never have to worry about my belongings getting broken or destroyed. The BEST, THANK YOU AGAIN!
Beware Two Men and a Truck: A Terrible Company
Two Men and a Truck is a terrible company: They1) delivered 15 items to the wrong address despite the fact they were clearly marked. 2) They stole my hand truck and 3) they damaged my lamp.
I called 8 times before Adriana in their claims department called me back. I filed their compliant, I sent in explicit photos and nothing. They have done absolutely nothing.
This is a terrible company. Beware, don't use them for moving. They don't even come out and access how much stuff you have.
We had to leave a China cabinet behind because it would not fit in their truck.
Avoid at all costs
Quoted for a job for 5 hours for $1700, fair price. However when they arrived 1 man and 1 young kid and they took 15+ minutes each time from packing the boxes or getting boxes from the truck.
The job ended up taking up to 8 - 9 hours, which ended up costing $2400 almost an extra $1000 from them being slow.
A job where we had boxes and furniture ready and sorted.
Top it off they required to use our tools, which I had to dig up from a box.
Look else where before engaging this company, not sure why we are charged for 2 men if one was in training or a young kid.
It seems that they overcharged me
It seems that they overcharged me, a senior citizen, for my 1 bedroom move about $200. The movers (2) just put boxes anywhere, even though they were clearly marked with rooms on them. They ignored my directions about placement of furniture.
AVOID TWO MEN & A TRUCK!
I have never left a negative review due to believing ppl generally do the best they can & we all have bad days; however this is a warning if you care at all about your things. When I called for my estimate I repeated several times how heavy my things are; even mentioned that everyone who has ever moved me says it’s the heaviest they’ve ever moved. So when my 2 men show up my size my heart sank, but I thought some of the strongest men I’ve known weren’t very big; however these guys were also very young & clearly inexperienced. I decided I would just have to help & maybe this will prevent mishaps. For the 2 largest items I suggest they take out the drawers to decrease the weight; they told me they didn’t need to; I mentioned everyone else has taken the drawers out; he said they didn’t need to. They barely got the dresser out (wall is pictured) drawers are easily close to half the weight of this dresser. Eventually they became concerned about the weight of my buffet & called 2 more men changing my rate from $165 to $265, but ok if that’s what we need to get there. Again I suggest removing the drawers on the buffets; but nope they know what they’re doing. In the end a 6 foot Christmas Nutcracker was broken (no pics because they offered to dump it) my antique vanity, I’ll say came apart because they told me how I can glue it back (smh) & broke the slab of TN marble that went on the vanity (pictured). While making the damage report they kept asking for the make & date..clearly no knowledge of how valuable antiques are & why they are valuable (impossible to replace) but according to them they’re going to find me another piece of TN marble & the pulled apart bottom half was on me to repair (smh). In the end my buffet did not make up to my new place and they’re solution to this was delivering it to anyone I could find OR they will SALE it for me and give me the $. Imagine something dear to you just pretty much being taken away, but what could I do. The buffet is what I used for my largest TV so I ask if we can get 1 of the tables we’d already put in my storage unit to set the TV on & they said yes. I didn’t go to my storage unit to watch what they were doing, but when I went to put something in there later I see they have now put a very heavy chair partially on the only part of this antique vanity they haven’t broken (top half) and the leg of this chair is running through my box spring (pics). I put the heavy chair in the storage unit myself due to wanting to make sure it didn’t damage other items & damn if they didn’t do it after all. So in the end I have all these damaged items & the bed they kept saying they we’re going to put together for me to sleep on did not get put together; maybe this was due to my time running out, but overhearing the team lead telling them to slow down & quit being so fast made me think I was good on time. I was told I’d be compensated for the damage & the price over all was reduced a little. The guys were super nice until everything really went left; I’m not angry at them personally; in fact they would have to admit I was a very good sport saying repeatedly “I don’t love anything that can’t love me back”. This crew were just clearly not the 4 men & a truck for this job. What I’ve heard about this company since my ordeal is alarming; if Google was showing all the reviews, NO-ONE would ever use them!
Terrible experience
Terrible experience. Damaged and destroyed so many of my pieces. Did not know what they were doing or just didn't care. DO NOT USE!!
