Tbh this typing app was pretty mid

Tbh this typing app was pretty mid. What really drove me mad was some of the error systems. For example. when I do not type fast enough and make a mistake, I have to press that key that I missed. And I have to hit that exact key if I want to move on with the lesson. But if I type very fast, it just counts it as an regular error and lets you move on. what also bothered me was how long the typing lessons were. These lessons were up to 26 slides long (I call them slides only because idk what they are called). Each slide took about 40 - 45 seconds to complete. However, if you multiply 40 seconds by 26, that means the lesson takes 1040 seconds, or 17.3333333333 minutes long. Or in english, around 17 minutes. So yeah, it taught me some stuff, but I still think I could have saved a couple hundred brain cells using a different program. (Tell me if my math is incorrect.)

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to us and providing us with this feedback. That's how the site is supposed to work and it behaves like that because we want you to make sure (after the second error) that you place your hands properly on the keyboard.

Kind regards.

The mistake system is horrible!

Typing.com is so mean! One huge issue is the way Typing.com handles mistakes. When I make one, it pretends to type the correct letter but says you made a mistake. But if you make a mistake twice in a row, it doesn't type the letter at all! This confuses me. And has me create even more wrongdoings. It drives me mad. I think a great way to fix this problem is when a mistake happens, you should not type the letter.

The lag

When I tried to type, there was a ton of lag that made me miss a few keys, it could be my Chromebook acting up, but the lag was really annoying and it made me not like typing anymore

Syncing issues

Hector was a great help in resyncing my classes. We use clever for single sign-on purposes and the sync had some student names, student ids, and then some not showing any time of identifiable information. Hector helped get everything correct in about 24 hours. I really appreciate all the help and quick/great customer service.

What a great team - I had issues with some emails being doubled-up

I had some issues with some email addresses not allowing me to enter some students into my typing.com classrooms. The typing.com team quickly took care of the issue, and I mean quickly. I have used typing.com for our classroom for eight years now and can honestly say that my students have fun using it and experience a definite improvement in key entry (typing) skills - typing speed and accuracy. Thanks guys!!

How to videos is not support for breaks in service.

After repeated emails back and forth with support including screen captures to resolve an issue, I keep getting sent how to videos. Failure to read thoroughly the issue is rampant in the support department that I have worked with. So far, several of the premium functions fail such as the real time activity monitor and the assignments functions. The only real reason to pay for this is to remove advertisements.
