An absolutely dreadful

An absolutely dreadful, money hungry company. In the peak of the pandemic, ubeeqo decided that you should only be allowed 4 hour bookings. However that's not the reason for my 1 star review. My review is because I rented a car for 24 hours and dropped it back early (thinking it was like Zipcar where I can leave the keys in the car and unlock when I needed it again). However the trip automatically ended and ubeeqo does not have 24 hour contact support. I left a lot of things in that car (umbrella, bag etc) that I wanted to retrieve but couldn't.

To make matters worse, ubeeqo tried to charge me a £75 cleaning fee! The car was not that dirty and required nothing more then to brush the dust off the seats and to retrieve my belongings. However I never got my belongings back and ubeeqo have been bullying me for the £75. It's fair to say that I do not reccomene this company. There are better and cheaper alternatives.

Rented a car that was disgusting

Rented a car that was disgusting, full of trash and cigarettes. Customer service stopped answering my emails in april 2021 and isn't refunding me for the terrible experience. Stay away!!

Absolute Joke of a company !

Never using this company again hired a van on Friday for 24 hour period dropped van back 2 hours early van wouldn’t lock due to a technical issue on there end so I’ve had to take the keys with me an now there telling me I cannot be contacted on my phone but I’ve had no problem receiving calls from anyone else an they was supposed to send someone to my work place to collect the keys an now I’m having to go to there office awaiting address for this otherwise they want to charge me for keys il never be using this company again !!!!!

I rented a car in 12/04/21 I collected…

I rented a car in 12/04/21 I collected and dropped off the car at the same place where them geolocation system tell me. Yesterday I received a letter from Recovery PCN company that’s charging me £174.00. I didn’t know that I can’t park where I collected the car and the worst thing that the UBEEQO not send me any email about this PCN, so avoid this company.

Is no1 of the more bud’s company!!
I have very sud stories with them,
I book the car and the Ubeeqo they take my a money from my bank account,but I was go at the location and the car is doesn’t there,
I lose the flight the first time,and after of this story I call them to explain what’s happened,
Staff is not friendly…I ask them to resenmy my money back because I don’t use a car ,
And they just blocked my account and they ask my to I provide to them one bank card who I add on the app like 2 years before,
That person who have a card is one of my previous boss’s…
I explain to them about the situation and I take out the bank account (boos one )
And I tell to them Ti they unblocked my account again ….. no body doesn’t help my
And today I lose my second fly …

Very poor customer service.

Very poor customer service.
On one occasion a vehicle was hired out of working hours. Couldnt open the vehicle and couldn't get hold of customer service to unlock the vehicle due to the office open hours. Surely a 24 hour rental service should have an out of hours helpline!

Another occasion successfully rented a van. Returned it and parked it perfectly legally. 3/11/21.
The vehicle received a parking fine the following morning due to the bay being suspended from that day (4/11/21).
They sent me an email notifying me that a PCN was received and as I was the last person to use the van I am liable. Explained that when I parked the vehicle the parking suspension was not in force and that I am not liable for the PCN received 24 hours after my booking ended. They replied and rejected my appeal. Proceeded to take £130 + £40(admin fee) from my account. £170.
They won't speak to me on the phone regarding the matter and don't reply to emails. Outrageous!

Will be going to small claims court if they don't refund me.

SHocking experience

I have a clean licence, good credit, impeccable record with my insurance company. They will ask you to fill in all their questions with no hesitation. Only to be told that my licence didn't meet their strict validations. Their staff are rude. I am shocked at my terrible

Dreadful customer service

Dreadful customer service. Spent over 2 weeks trying to get my account verified, made it very clear I had a deadline before which I needed to be able to make a booking, was ignored (literally no replies to my emails for 2 weeks!) until I got my deadline and had to try elsewhere to hire a car. Awful

utterly shocking

utterly shocking - been a customer for over a year, went to make a booking and was told that there was suspicious activity and my account had been disabled... no explanation, shocking customer service and no help at all!

First time using and I've just been charged £191.98!!! Coming up to xmas aswell!!! Kmt.. From 5.45pm - 1.30am, for a booking which should be £7ph, FUMING!!!!!!!

UPDATE:
I then contacted customer services and spoke to Mike. I explained the situation to Mike who was very understanding and gave me a full refund of the late fees (£150) and only charged me for the extra 2.1/2hrs (£17.50). Also explained that i couldn't find the fuel card and had to pay for petrol to which he advised to send the receipt via email and promised i would receive a full refund for the amount once processed. Thanks again Mike

I’ve put a star because I couldn’t…

I’ve put a star because I couldn’t write the review otherwise. Avoid this service. We’ve been charged for a rental that never happened and we’ve been trying to get the refund since May. They keep saying there will be the refund but still waiting. We wrote a review on google which they deleted because they can assume their terrible service. Do NOT use this app!

Racism is living in this company

Horrible company to deal with a friend wanted a van so I recommend this company sent her the ubeeqo code which she used.we then both received emails saying we are using the vans for illegal purposes and sharing and letting others drive I can not tell you how disgusting this company is I've been a member for 3 years I honestly believe its down to racism this company has little morals and does not respect anyone apart from their pockets being filled up disgraceful

Used ubeeqo once 2 years ago and i rented a VW golf for 2 days, found it filthy smelt of weed/dirty seats. found empty weed packets and dirty mess all over the car. I spoke to the guy who hired the car and he told me to clean the mess... literally you will be told to clean the mess you found it as for the next customer... lastly, yesterday (23/10/21) i tried to log onto my account and i found out they suspended my account because of a low rating but I only used it once! tried another application and they explained that i was not suitable to use the service. use zip car or any other company apart from this because they also charge you additional fees you were not aware of.. even if you have forgotten to fill up the tank they will take a huge sum off you. pathetic company they need to change their ways, you will be scammed.

Extremely poor service

Extremely difficult app to I use without any explanations to guide. You would waste your time in struggle to register and then you receive an email your application has been denied without any reason as to why.
So unprofessional and concerning! In 21st century to receive such services is absolutely shocking!

Filthy car

Booked car for just over 24 hours for a wedding but car was filthy on picking it up. We didn’t have time to organise cleaning or it would have made us late for the wedding. Flagged it to Ubeeqo who got back to me over a week later, did not offer a refund of any amount but suggested 10GBP gift credit as compensation. In reality the car was borderline usable (but mechanically sound) so the experience for us was dreadful and the gift credit doesn’t address the very poor quality of the service provided. So effectively I feel I’ve expended a lot of energy trying to recover costs from this poor experience and the only beneficiary really was Ubeeqo themselves, who can now bill the previous user for £75 and get the car cleaned up for the next customer with the proceeds.

Sly, sneaky, and likely illegal service model

This is a modern business model, where by if you have a rental and pay them everything is good. However if they make mistakes and you try to complain or resolve issues. You’re told to e-mail, if they ignore your e-mail and you call in to speak to a human being in charge who can deal with your issue… You are told it’s not possible, you must e-mail. It’s a joke that there is no reasonable way to hold these companies accountable anymore.

If you have any other way, take it, I would not recommend Ubeeqo to anyone

Horrible company

Horrible company! Left me stranded in Cambridge and I live in London! Has to pay £280 out of my own money to get me to my destination because they gave my rental to someone else! They offered a partial refund and chose not to take responsibility for their mistake! I’m 9 months pregnant and I was 3 hours away from home! Stay away from this company like the plague!

Awful customer experience

I have just tried to reserve a car with Ubeeqo and it has been an awful customer experience. First, the reservation did not work on the app. I had to call and reserve over the phone. Second, when trying to open the car, it did not open. I called again, spent 40 minutes over the phone with customer service who was not helpful at all. He was simply repeating the same “well written speech”, did not adapt to the situation and did not try to find a solution.

He made me do the same actions multiple times and I had to go as I couldn’t wait any longer. They did not even try to offer another solution, I was left without a car and having to find another solution on my own at the last minute.

To finish with, the reservation wasn’t cancelled on the application, I had to chase to make sure it was, despite telling the person over the phone to cancel the reservation.

The concept is smart, but when the execution doesn’t work something should be done, and this is not the case with Ubeeqo.
