I won the ubomi daily draw for a $250 dollar petrol gift card that was sent to my address . Upon using this gift card at a petrol station we were told the card was out of balance . We had not used this card previously anywhere else . I emailed ubomi and they said upon checking you have already redeemed the card . Scam if you ask me . And put us out of pocket 100 dollars for petrol . Big disappointment seeing as membership fees are 10 dollars a week . I suggest you cancel your membership asap or you will get scammed like me

You are better off hungry/no money.
This is my first review of my life and probably will be my only one. I hope this can grab your attention if you have come this far to find out about UBOMI.
This is a terrible scam set up by a company registered with an ABN in 2022. They don’t not support anyones finances like the website suggests. The terms and conditions so nothing about cancellation and only about paying them continuously for an infinite amount of time. I came to a verbal agreement on a phone call and am Currently in a cooling off period with Ubomi but still receiving calls about my membership when I instructed that it was to be done with. They haven’t updated my account to suggest that my membership is ending when it was agreed upon. It’s gone so far that I have had to contact consumer affairs about them. They will not pick up your calls when you call them and will call at times you cannot answer.
The email they provide in this review section will not respond. The 50% 5 star reviews are absolutely fake it’s impossible that this service could look after anyone when they do not provide any support to their customers. If you have come here because you are second guessing signing up because your are under financial distress then you are honestly better off not eating and having no money. It is that bad. I hope anyone that is in the position can understand the importance of what I am saying and I am fully serious in that comment.

I have lost so much money due to these charges and I’m suffering financially from it. I tried to cancel it numerous times but they said it’s part of the terms and conditions. Absolutely disgusting. Do not get your loan from them even if you’re super desperate!

You should avoid this company like the plague. There is no way to cancel the subscription and they are preying on the vulnerable with a useless app and membership. Beware, you think you are getting a grant for $200 when you are desperate (I paid mine back) but they charge you $10 a week for the "membership" and that is actually a horrific interest rate of 35% per annum.

Extremely predatory and scummy
Avoid these guys at all cost. It is difficult to contact their support at all and you are required to be available at any moment to receive a phone call.
The umoney service is funded through another party (Amanzica I believe?) that is associated with ubomi which requires multiple phone calls to cease.
They also contacted me unsolicited after I had requested for my personal information to be scrubbed from their records - 0/5 would never recommend to anyone, please seek proper financial aid if you require their services.
