Blunt as Trump

Worst shave ever , blades are about as blunt as Trump . Handle plus 6 blades for a fiver ! Don’t waste your money guys unless you fancy a good rash 🥴🥴. True to say , you get what you pay for 😩😩

Sod the pink tax. 5* Products & Service.

This company has been a lifesaver for me.
The customer service has always been good when I needed it, the postage is fair and fast and the quality of the product is fantastic. Sod the pink tax , i've been using dollar shave club for years now and wouldn't change anything, even as a girl with sensitive skin I have no issues using any of their products.

Used DSC for over 6 years now... Outstanding

Used DSC for over 6 years now after seeing they sponsored a you tuber Russian Badger. From my first shave as a teenager to my weekly shave now, shipped to the UK from the US never had any problems even through covid they still just about managed to get my razor's to me.

Highly recommend the executive razor's and shave butter, I tried Gillette's fusion pro glide and found that its 3 blades were absolutely useless in comparison to DSC's 6.

Even an ex of mine changed from the female razor's to DSC as the cut was so much smoother and easy proving that these are brilliant all round!

Huge thanks to their team, really have been my go to company for shaving. (Even when I go away and forget my handle and have to use the blades by hand.)

Great service, but terrible razors

I loved DSC; quick and easy shipments, easy to pause or cancel, everything about the service is 5 stars!

But the actual product is awful. I used DSC for years and always though my skin irritation was unavoidable, until a friend suggested a try a different razor. Sounds trivial but I did and the difference was night and day! In hindsight, these razors gave me the worst shave.

Maybe this is just for my sensitive skin, but wow do I wish I left DSC sooner. Cheap blades mean cheap shave!

UK DSC going from strength to strength.

So, have been a member of DSC since 2018 and aim to give an honest appraisal here. Firstly, the products themselves are excellent. Shave butter is probably the finest shaving lubricant you'll get anywhere, as is also the post shave dew. The executive razor and blades, which are actually rebranded Dorco pace 6 blades, again are excellent and at a reasonable price.
I've now used every product available to the UK market and they are all excellent, feel premium and really do work - some may be a little pricey but I genuinely feel you get quality for your money.
Service wise, the company seemed to have had a bit of a dip during 2000-2001 with products regularly out of stock or delays in shipping, however as of 2022 I've noticed shipping is now very quick indeed (usually 48hrs tops) and product lines are usually rarely out of stock, so after a brief bump in the road it seems Dollar Shave Club is going from strength to strength.
Now onto the rebrand, yes this is where there seems to be some upset. In 2021/2022 many products are being rebranded and reformulated. While I miss the older sub-brands (Wanderer, big cloud, Dr carver etc) the new look is clean, clear and still almost invites you to use the products. The products themselves though have, in some cases, significantly changed. The biggest noticeable change has been to Prep Scrub which now has a much finer texture and a different feel. Personally, I like the new formula but it seems many don't, so if you're returning to buying products after a hiatus, I'd recommend trying the trial sizes first before buying a full pack. With that said, I genuinely feel that all the new formulations are just as good, if not better, than their originals for me at least (but I do miss the old branding!) but of course everyone is different - so it's nice you can trial products cheaply before going all - in.
Finally, service itself. The website, and managing your subscription, couldn't be easier and of course now days you don't have to have a subscription if you'd prefer to just buy items as you need, however if you would like a subscription you can now specify your own dates and frequencies and of course chop and change the contents of your box very easily or indeed postpone, or bring forward your deliveries with a single click. Cancelling too, is just a single click if you ever needed to (and restarting is a click too if you have cancelled!)

Overall, Dollar Shave Club seem to have gotten the UK market just right now, with very high quality products, an excellent price point for (Dorco) blades, a good discount scheme (the more you buy, the more you save) and all backed up with great billing and delivery options.

All I ask is that they don't fix what isn't broke and don't change their blade supplier like they have done in the USA!

Excellent shave for a great price 😊

Having tried shavekit and Harry’s I thought I’d give these a try. I decided to try the 2 blade razor as I have sensitive skin and always feel more blades causes extra drag and make my face sore. The shave is excellent and equally as good as the Harry’s 5 blade razor without the sore face when I’ve finished.

UPDATE been using the blades for a couple of weeks now. I’ve shaved everyday and swapped blades once a week. Still a great shave and now razor burn/shave rash. Really pleased with the blades and don’t mind the daily chore of shaving so much again now. Very happy 😁

Fantastic products which give me an…

Fantastic products which give me an excellent shave. Love the shave butter as you can see exactly what you are doing but the razor glides over your face easier than with any other product I have tied. there has been a hiccup with delivery his year which is hopefully sorted out now. I found customer services to be excellent, very responsive and did their best to help. Happy to continue to use them.

DO NOT ORDER!!!! ORDERS CANT BE DELIVERED

DO NOT ORDER!!!!! This company are blaming brexit for being unable to fulfil orders and can’t deliver, yet they are happy to take your money and not bother to let you know, I was lucky to get a response when I emailed judging by other reviews and I’m hoping to have my refund soon! But the length of time it’s taken to get to this point is a disgrace!

I emailed customer services about my order and they emailed me back a day later and helped me resolve the issue. I am happy that they have sorted things out. I also like their shavers and the shaving balm and i like that they are cruelty free. I see other people had bad experiences lately but i am happy that they seem t have got things back on track and resolved my issue.

I have been a customer for many years- no longer

I have been a customer for many years. Was great up until recently, been a month and 1 week since they took money from my account to cover my order for February and I have as of yet received nothing. Usually top quality service and customer support but I haven't received a single piece of correspondence since my email to customer service 2 weeks ago.

Cancelled my subscription and raised a dispute with PayPal- I suggest you do also if you paid with PayPal!

Blaming Brexit STILL

Not delivered since December and are blaming Brexit for their failure. They claim to have all packages stored in a warehouse, since December, due to customs issues. A German company blaming Brexit. Sour grapes possibly? Subscription cancelled.

Still not received my order after 19 days!!!

I have used Dollar Shave Club for since April and each of their deliveries have turned up fine. Except this months subscription it’s was supposed to be shipped on the 1st Feb and still say that it is processing!!! I have contacted customer service last weeks and still had no reply. I need this as I am running low on my razors and I’m now tempted to change my subscription to Harry’s. Such a shame but I need a reliable company to supply my products.

Not delivering but still taking your…

Not delivering but still taking your money! They keep blaming Brexit for the trouble with deliveries but instead of putting payments on hold (which my local gym is doing despite being run by the cash strapped local council) they continue to take payments which is unacceptable.

Avoid - 2 months later no products

Unfortunately while I really like the products actually getting them is almost impossible.
I placed a large order on the 7th Dec... understanding it was a busy time of year I chased at the end of December and the products finally shipped 30th Dec. Thankful they would avoid the new Brexit regulations.
Middle of Jan and still no box - customer service advised COVID and Brexit delays and have issued a full refund - 7th feb (2 months since order placed) and still no box. Avoid unless you want to be out of pocket!

AVOID AVOID AVOID. This company is a scam! They take your money, your goods don’t turn up and they will not answer your emails. How they are allowed to trade in the UK is beyond me. Save yourself the time and money and use a different company. CRIMINALS!!!!
