"Garadam" Foam Side Blocks 50mm Reviews

What are “Garadam” side blocks? There are certain situations where it is not feasible to install the “Garadam” Flood Barrier tight to the back of the garage door, meaning it must be installed further back, behind the garage door tracks. In these situations, flood waters rising up the water dam could run off the sides into the garage. To prevent this, we devised these contoured Garadam Foam Side Blocks 50mm to ensure that the full 50mm high protection of the flood barrier is achieved. How can I install these blocks? Place the foam block on top of the flood barrier so the contoured side is in contact with the seal and the narrow end of the side block is resting at the apex of the threshold seal. Once in the correct position, use a marker pen to mark the location of the side block on the seal, and if required, mark on the side block where it needs to be cut to ensure it fits. Using a utility knife, cut the side block as marked previously (but only if required). In the area marked out for the side block to be installed on the seal, apply GaraDry® adhesive and sealant in a zigzag pattern to the top of the ‘Garadam’ and garage door track which the block will be leaning against. Firmly press the side block into place and wipe away any excess adhesive. Please check the photos above to see how it looks once installed.
