The price it got shipped from Denmark and was still half the price of Screwfix a mile down the road. I like a ratchet screwdriver because I've got damaged hands and find them easier to use the seller... See more

Incorrect Order and Mishandled Data Protection Issue

I received an incorrect order from Plusshop. The parcel contained items belonging to another customer, along with a delivery note displaying that individual’s full name, address and telephone number.

This is clearly a data protection issue.

The company later confirmed that the wrong order was shipped to two different customers, meaning personal data was disclosed to unauthorised third parties. However, despite multiple written requests, they refused to confirm whether my own personal data had also been sent to someone else, and declined to provide any written explanation of how the breach was assessed or handled.

Instead of addressing the data protection concerns properly, they issued a refund and repeatedly attempted to move the discussion to a phone call, avoiding written responses to the specific GDPR questions raised.

Mistakes can happen. What matters is how a company handles them. In this case, the handling of the data breach was dismissive and lacked transparency.

I would not feel confident ordering again.
