UK Auto Report - Scammers -AVOID

UK Auto Report 👎👎👎👎👎 SCAMMERS

I keep getting messaged via Facebook messenger from someone calling himself JONES MOORE supposedly of Exeter who says he’s happy to pay full price on my vehicle without even seeing it if I pay £25 for an UK Auto report. He states if it comes back all clear he’ll refund me the £25. I’ve told him twice no but he still messages.

Total scam

Total scam - do not pay! Was contacted by Jayden Dyer about my car, way too keen, didn’t question price but pushed for this report to be done.

Scamming technique employed

The company employs a know scam technique when someone “interested” in your vehicle for sale is happy to buy your car or motorbike as long as it has a report via ukautoreport. If you do one they stop talking to you and disappear. Avoid

This is a scam

This is a scam, someone messaged super quickly - too quickly tbh on a market place car advert, seemed super keen happy to come the same day to view the car, asked for the MOT report and then sent a link for a CVR report pressuring me to use that one specifically saying he’d had a bad experience with others and would pay full price if I did it plus the cost of the report back.
I did not click on the link and knew it was a scam at this point, be carful and don’t click on these links!

Advertised a car on Facebook and almost instantly had a buyer who wanted to see the car next day and asked if I wanted cash or bank transfer. Seemed to good to be true. Had a red flag that someone so quickly contacted me. He said he was quite local. I googled and he was roughly 30 mins away. Arranged to meet the next day. But... then he asked me to share the CVR report. Long story short just tried to get me to buy from this website and then got funny when I said it was usually buyer who purchases this and then I said I would buy from another source. Became obvious something was not right so ended text conversation.

IVR Scam

I encountered a scam while trying to sell my car. It's always important to be cautious, especially on platforms like Facebook Marketplace. If a buyer is asking for an IVR report (which is often related to vehicle history), make sure to verify their legitimacy. I didn't receive the report, and the email and everything I received looked like a scam, so I would avoid it.
