Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 110 reviews, most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Customers frequently praise the staff for being helpful, polite, and professional, often highlighting specific individuals who provided excellent support and clear explanations. Many found the customer service to be responsive and efficient, making them feel at ease and confident about their financial status or resolving their queries effectively. Reviewers often commend the patience and understanding shown by the customer care team when addressing complex problems and providing detailed advice. However, some people were dissatisfied with payment issues, reporting unexpected charges and money being debited from their accounts without clear prior notification. Many customers expressed frustration over what they perceived as hidden subscription charges, often unknowingly signing up for recurring monthly fees after a free trial. Some reviewers also noted issues with the service itself, such as being unable to use it as planned or not receiving clear information about subscription terms.

Tried to use this 'companies'services

Tried to use this 'companies'services. They required proof of identity, via Bank Debit Card. I gave the information requested, they took the money, £1.59, and then said they could not give me access to my credit file. Words I suggest. Barge Pole, do not, touch, with. I bet they don't respond to this review.

Dear ‘Stuart’

We have asked you to confirm your personal details and email address to Trustpilot so we can verify that you were an active account holder, you have kindly done so, but the name used within your online review is not the same name you have used when creating your account.

Your review states that you tried to use our service, but we were unable to provide you with access to your credit file.
Our records show that the UK credit bureau was unable to successfully identify you within their system and provide you with access to a credit file, hence your account with UK Credit Ratings was immediately cancelled and the £1.50 refunded to you accordingly.

We are happy to investigate this further for you and would therefore like to invite you to contact our Customer Support manager directly (https://ukcreditratings.com/credit/contact) who will be happy to provide their full assistance in relation to the comments you have made within your recent review.

We hope you will provide us with an opportunity to assist you and look forward to hearing from you in due course.

A brilliantly user friendly website

A brilliantly user friendly website, even for an elderly non computer literate individual! I found the reason for my compromised credit rating within minutes and have been able to resolve it easily from that point. Customer service doesn't get any better than this. If only all credit reference agencies could be this good - and they are light years from being so!

PLEASE AVOID

PLEASE AVOID! Don’t even click on their link!
I just received a notification from my bank which states that UK Credit Ratings.Com attempted to take £24 out of my account. I was trying to go on TransUnion website, then I realised I was on UkCrediRating.Com. I stopped completing the subscription immediately, but a direct debit is set up on my account and an attempt was made to take money illicitly!

Dear Leo,

We have asked you to confirm your personal details and email address to Trustpilot so we can verify that you were an active account holder, and that the information you have included within your review accurately reflects your experience, which you have declined to do.

You have also decided not to use your full name, meaning we have no means of understanding the reason why you are suggesting to others to avoid using our service.

Your review states that you made an error in signing up to our service instead of Transunion’s, and once you realised this, you immediately stopped completing our online application form.

If you had immediately stopped completing our form, we would not have created an account for you, there would have been no free to use 14 day access to our service provided and no attempt to make provisions for a subsequent subscription mechanism.

It is unfortunate that you feel the need to provide us with a poor review based on your own actions.

If you would have provided our customer support team with an opportunity to help you, they would have happily undone the account you had created in error and removed your details from our system.

We would therefore like to invite you to contact our Customer Support manager directly (https://ukcreditratings.com/credit/contact) who will be happy to provide their full assistance in relation to the comments you have made within your recent review.

We clearly describe the service we offer, the initial free trial period and subscription costs thereafter at the point of sign up through our website. All customers must positively agree to the terms of our service through a series of tick boxes prior to their application being accepted and processed.

These details are further reiterated within a series of emails that we send to every customer at the very start of their free trial, providing a 14-day window in which to fully use the service and it’s benefits without limitation, and cancel without charge should the service not meet their expectations.

We hope that you will provide us with an opportunity to resolve your complaint and look forward to hearing from you in due course.

Absolute scam artists signed up to see…

Absolute scam artists signed up to see if it would help get a loan totally oblivious that everyone else on here has the same issues to then read a couple and realise they take no accountability for their terrible scam of a website, the fact that every negative review is followed up with the same automated reply is hilarious! And the fake replies clearly made by themselves to cover up their tracks have actual replies just goes to show the competence of these people I’ll be taking this to my solicitor and hopefully save others from the same horrendous company😂

As I can’t reply for some reason I’ll put my reply here, I signed up for the services which wasn’t “free of charge” it was £1.50 not a problem but as I paid it re directed me to a page that kept failing to load regardless of what I used it on my laptop I pad and iPhone so do me a favour and go suck you’re mums Yh thanks fkn wanks 😀😀👍👍

Dear Josh,

We have asked you to confirm your personal details and email address to Trustpilot so we can verify that you were an active account holder, and that the information you have included within your review accurately reflects your experience, which you have declined to do.

Based on the username and public profile you have used within your online review, we believe we have managed to locate the account you had recently created.

You have not made it clear which element of our service you found to be disingenuous other than to generalise the service we provide as a scam.

You initially applied to use our 14 day free trial service without charge, then cancelled your account in less than 24 hours without using the full range of services made available to you. It is disappointing that you have chosen to base your review on something you have not chosen to experience first-hand.

We respond to every review made through Trustpilot personally, none of the replies we issue are fake or automated.

We would therefore like to invite you to contact our Customer Support manager directly (https://ukcreditratings.com/credit/contact) who will be happy to provide their full assistance in relation to the comments you have made within your recent review.

Dear Nigel,

We have asked you to confirm your personal details and email address to Trustpilot so we can verify that you were an active account holder, and that the information you have included within your review accurately reflects your experience, which you have declined to do.

Based on the username and public profile you have used within your online review, we believe we have managed to locate the account you had recently created.

You have suggested within your online review that we have provided ‘out of date’ information but have not elaborated on which information you found to be out of date.

Our credit reports are refreshed and updated weekly, all credit bureaus rely on timely information being provided by credit granting organisations and other public registers.

If you found that any information relating to your credit report was out of date, our support team would have happily provided their assistance and guidance on how to dispute the outdated information directly with the credit bureau through our online account portal.

We actively promote this element of our service throughout the sign-up process and within a follow up Welcome email which is sent to all customers the day their account is created.

A request to cancel your account was received via our customer support live chat service on day 20 of your membership, this request was actioned immediately, and a confirmation email was sent to you 38 minutes later.

As your membership lasted for just 20 days, only one payment was ever debited from your account, this payment has since been refunded to you.

We would like to invite you to contact our Customer Support manager who will be happy to provide any further assistance in relation to the comments you have made within your recent review.

He also helped with navigating me to areas of the site that were perhaps not as intuitive as they could be.

Do not log in

Do not log in — you won’t even realize when you’re signing up for a monthly subscription of £24.99. I contacted the company for a refund, and during the review process, they told me not to report it as fraud to the bank because it would take longer. Then, around 24 hours later, they replied saying I wouldn't get a refund because I had supposedly accepted the subscription — even though I never received any clear information saying that monthly payments would be taken. Of course, I have reported the issue to my bank.

Read this if you want a subscription refund

Like many I fell for the subscription charge which I didn’t consider was made adequately clear. After speaking to an agent my subscription was quickly cancelled but a refund was declined.

I wrote the following email which quickly resulted in a change of heart and I was promptly refunded. You are welcome to use the template if you are in a similar position.

Dear sir,

I have been inadvertently subscribed to your service. I have no doubt you can evidence terms an conditions in small print, but I do not consider that your communication and promotion meets the FCA expectation of being 'clear, fair and not misleading'. The assertion is supported by the number of complaints you receive on Trustpilot for the same reason. On this basis I request a refund of the two payments already deducted totalling £26.45.

If you do not agree to this I will take the matter to the FCA and the ICO as well as requesting a chargeback claim via my bank but I hope this can be resolved without necessitating such action.

Faithfully

AVOID! BEWARE! - Potential subscription trap!

AVOID! BEWARE! - ! Potential subscription trap!
I signed up for a credit file report. Nominal fee charged. Apparently I had also signed up to a free trial of 14 days and a recurring monthly subscription fee of £24.95! Paid two installments, then on reviewing my card statements requested a refund as I had NOT used the service further. They insisted I had signed up and there T&Cs were disclosed. On explaining this I was told no refund would be forthcoming as I had ACESS to the service, clearly a caveat emptor response! Card company unable to assist with refund but have stopped any recurring charges.

Applied for some loans recently and A link came up half way through the Application for a help and Advice if the loan was unsuccessful I clicked NO To not receive This and continued my Loan Application on which I had to enter bank details
Today I received an email confirming a £24.95 monthly DD for this Service ( Which I said NO To ) To the bank I entered BUT DID NOT ASK FOR HELP
On calling the Ignorant company staff was advised I did sign up for it and I did not understand what I was doing And That I did not even Apply for a loan I only applied for This Useless Not Needed Service
PLEASE BEWARE these companies along with Online Companies just sneak in a small box or Link that seems to look like everything else you are completing and you end up with this
ALSO
Until Today I did not receive any other correspondence or emails confirming I had signed for this service so Very strange that the first contact After ticking NO is my first DD updates For Payment
