These people are impossible to get in touch with. My worms arrived late and had a foul odor. Some were moving, but they haven’t done well and they won’t return calls or emails.

my soil is clay and I mean clay. a pickax struggles to break it up. I've had good luck over the years with worms. One negative is that my worms from a few years ago were plentiful and fat. then the feral pigs found them and most were sadly eaten. I have decided a new spot was going to be improved with worms. The red wrigglers arrived. yes, some were tiny but that's ok. Despite the instructions, I separated them into 2 small holes. I could only pickax down about 6" vs. the recommended 12-18. I covered them with mulch and watered lightly and hoped for the best, assuming when checked in the morning that I would find 2 piles of frustrated worms who could not get through the clay. In the morning, nary a worm to be found, either they went to the top around the mulch or worked with the clay. I know the pigs didn't get them as the mulch was undisturbed. Here's hoping they do their magic again over the next few years.

This place is great. This is the second time I have purchased red wigglers from Uncle Jim's. I received them promptly and added them to my worm bin. I also got European Nightcrawlers for fishing and the garden. Everything came quickly and they were packaged properly. The instructions were clear and the worms were active the next day. I also purchased worm food and bedding. I am very happy with my purchase. Thank you Uncle Jim's!!!

I've ordered from Uncle Jim's several times and have always been pleased with the quality and pricing of their meal worms. There was on order where some of them escaped en-route, Uncle Jim's responded quickly to my email and added more to my next order to compensate for the few that were lost. Great folks, I highly recommend them!

Before purchasing this item, I reached out to Uncle Jim's to clarify something that was confusing about the item description. After more than a week, I hadn't heard back, and I decided to go ahead and purchase this item. Thankfully, it came as described, but it also came with one of the trays damaged and warped to the point that the lid would not rest easily on it. I tried to contact Uncle Jim's several times by phone, but it would either ring until I got the message that they were busy and they could NOT take voicemail, and so I should just call back. I'm very disappointed in the overall customer service experience, since I'm sure that this woulbe simple to resolve if someone could answer or return my call, but instead I'm now stuck with a damaged warm bin that my little wigglers keep climbing out of because they're addicted to freedom.

The company has the composting worm niche in a corner. Unfortunately, when I tried to make an order, I assumed they had a full loadout of address fields and just used my autofill. They do not know about address line 2 or 3. I saw the error and emailed multiple times, but the company does not have many employees to see a communication apparently. The order was shipped 2 business days later, and to the wrong address. They finally read an email, and refuse to correct the error.
They do not have phones.
