I’m really pleased with the under stairs cupboard, it looks great and the fitter did a fantastic job. I would definitely recommend using Under Stairs Storage.

I’ve been renovating and extending the house I am in for the last 12 months and I have had all kinds of tradesmen in doing various jobs. It seems like every time I have something done there is always a problem, or something thats not done as I’d asked, or something that’s disappointing, so its really refreshing to have your company come in, work so professionally, and do such a great job.

My father has been a builder for 50 years, and a carpenter by trade. He hates it when I get other people in to work on the house (and is always a little offended when he considers it something he could have done himself!), but I persuaded him I was better getting a specialist company to fit the under stairs cupboard. He was actually working at my house the day your fitter was there. Every time my dad was in the kitchen making a cup up tea I watched him eying up the way the fitter was working over his shoulder (🙄). The next day I (nervously) asked him what he thought of the cupboard, I usually get a tut, a sigh, and a list of things he considered they didn’t do properly, but he actually perked up and said ‘really neat little job that, and a lot of work for one bloke in a day’. That really should be taken as high praise!

Great service, great product, great team! From my first initial query which was very prompt and promised to give us everything we wanted to order which again was very hassle free and the timeline for work was also reasonable. It took one day to fit and the fitters were punctual, very respectful, hard working and knowledgeable. They left the house as they found it so absolutely no complaints and i would fully recommend.

Great contact from Richard and information from start. Told us everything we needed know and explained any queries. Installation took two days which was two full, hardworking days. Very happy with work and quality. The understairs cupboard and six drawers has been amazing for us. Definitely recommend.

After obtaining a quote through Under stairs Storage, myself and my partner mulled over the quote as we had just moved into our new home and understandably had many expenses. However, we decided we wanted to proceed as we believed in Under stairs storage and was very much looking forward to our under stairs storage solution.

We then informed under stairs storage we wanted to proceed and let me point out that we made it clear we were not in a particular rush and was more than happy to wait 2-3 months as had been quoted.

They then requested a new picture, although this had already been supplied we happily supplied along with measurements.

4 days passed after us informing the sales person and we received very slow and short responses and were at a loss as to why they had not requested the 30% deposit as we were informed which was required, which of course we were more than happy with.

So after prompting on the point and clearly asking to confirm the next steps re deposit and obtaining a place in the queue it is at this point they decided to inform us that due to raw material issues (which we are understanding of, as mentioned we recently moved into a new home) they was going to withdraw from taking the order and things are changing on an hourly basis which was slightly confusing as only 30 minutes prior they had confirmed. Also, seems slightly dramatic for an understairs storage company. They then wished us the best of luck with the project, great thanks!

At this point we were so disappointed and confused and kindly requested a call to discuss and even let them know yet again we were happy to work with them re dates. However, they refused and asked us to accept the last email as the current position. We were so disappointed with the customer service that they was not transparent until prompted as we had a hunch there was an issue as no deposit was taken neither was we getting much in way of response.

We were more than happy to wait with the lead times and struggle to believe the raw materials was the sole issue and even if it was true, certainly not how I and most others would run a company when the client is looking to spend £1600+, you would simply state the situation and say you would understand if a client wanted to go else where but would be more than happy to contact them as soon as they can fulfil the order and take a deposit to obtain a place in the queue.

Unfortunately, I cannot comment on the product but can safely say I am not sure I have ever experienced such poor customer service, practically telling us to find an alternative solution and had no interest whatsoever in our business. Under Stairs Storage do not deserve our hard earnt cash.

I can confirm this statement of events is true.

One practical bit of advice, invest in a customer service course.

Excellent job from the first enquiry to the fitting. Don’t know how I managed before all this extra storage. Would highly recommend.

Can’t fault the service I have received from Richard. He was thorough in his explanation of the product I would receive, in his quotation and then in providing regular updates. I have felt like a valued customer throughout.
James fitted my storage and was extremely polite, professional and skilled and is a credit to the company.

Very happy with our installation, professionally installed and a lovely finished product.

We spoke to a couple of dedicated under stairs storage companies before choosing USS. USS position themselves as a better quality option than competitors, with long guarantees (effectively lifetime) and better customisation which makes full use of the depth of the space, not just the height and width. So they’re a bit pricier than some other options but it means the work will be solid for more years to come as well. The installation was all done in one day, the installer was very friendly and professional, and USS were straightforward and clear in their communication of an advance booking date, terms of deposit and final payment, guarantees etc. Their installation has made a huge difference in terms of storage space and it looks good too, as well as it having high quality soft closing and opening mechanisms. Would recommend.

We had under stair storage installed by James from USS yesterday. He managed to complete the job in one day even though it’s usually a 2-day job. He did a very professional job with millimetre perfect precision throughout. We now have loads of very usable storage space which should be all we’ll ever need. Naturally it’s only been a day since installation so it hasn’t been thoroughly tested / used, but it comes with a lifetime guarantee. My joiner friend said the price we paid was reasonable, so I’m happy.

We researched a number of options before electing to use UnderstairsStorage.co.uk and we couldn't have chosen better. Richard was incredibly helpful at every stage beforehand in providing pricing and options for us and helping us to make choices which made the best use of the space. There was a long wait time for it to be fitted but this was entirely attributable to the popularity of this company and you can really see why as their service is absolutely excellent. The product was worth the wait.

Their fitter texted beforehand to let me know when he was on his way each day and he has done an outstanding job. I noticed how carefully he installed each piece and used spacers to ensure that everything is perfectly aligned, and the end result speaks for itself. He cleaned up after himself each day and all the removed plasterboard and offcuts were loaded into a Hippo Bag that was collected a few days later with no problems at all.

I can thoroughly recommend this company. They weren't the cheapest quote that we received but I feel we had value for money as the product quality and the installation process were of an incredibly high standard.

Richard and James were exceptional, really high end finish. The end result speaks for itself.

The installation team were a pleasure to have in the house, hard working, professional and highly skilled.

There is inevitably a considerable amount of dust and off cuts produced by the bespoke manufacture on site, the machining was all undertaken outside and everywhere was left spotless.

We chose the Shaker style finish to match kitchen cabinets, the option was more expensive, but well justified in the additional work entailed in the framing work. The end result exceeds our expectations and we are truly delighted with the product. Highly recommend this company.

Very nice installation. Exactly what I wanted. The fitter, Radovan, was on time, very courteous & made a first class job. All the cutting was done outside so very little dust. He laid dust sheets before starting & removed them on completion & used a vacuum to leave the area spotless. Would recommend the company unconditionally.
