My first photo session with Danny was amazing!! I felt safe, confident and welcome. He was always respectful and he really takes care of his models! I'm shocked of how much talend he has. The pictures came out so good and I can see danny takes his job seriously. His effort should be more recognized. Thank you Danny!
At first I was a bit hesitant to contact Danny, the idea of having myself photographed was alien to me, yet after discussing it with a friend who had also partaken in UNFOLD, I was hooked!
When I first arrived, I got a warm welcome from Danny as he made sure I was comfortable with what he had planned. The shoot went really well, especially because Danny totally gets enrobed in his art. If you're ever not comfortable you'll be able to take a break and readjust yourself, so no fear necessary! You don't need to fear anything, if this is your first time getting a photo taken of you, I say go for it!
I can totally get if some people would get uncomfortable by the idea of (half)naked photography, but my experience was extremely freeing, especially after seeing the pictures. I just came out of a relationship where I felt underappreciated and unloved, these pictures helped me realise the opposite. When I look back at my experience with UNFOLD I can only recommend it to others, as it has been amazing for me!
I reached out to Danny, a photograper I have a deep respect for, to celebrate a newly found connection with my body after years of low self esteem and eating disorders. As a non professional model I was feeling a bit nervous about the shooting. Danny was able to guide me in a gentle and natural way, transforming it in a deeply intimate and touching experience of self discovery and self validation. A connection between body and soul I will always remember with gratitude and joy.
Working with Danny was for me amaizing experience. It was when he starting his adventure with photography. I was Erasmus Student afraid of life and He show me myself in better way. Dear Anna, thank you so much, really. It’s hard to believe how much time has passed since 2010… That was the very beginning of my photography journey, and it’s thanks to you – and your trust – that I was able to take those first steps with confidence.
We created such beautiful and meaningful work together back then in Leuven, in my very first studio at Salve Mater, where I was working at the time. I’ll never forget those moments – they’re part of the foundation of what UNFOLD is today.
Over the past 15 years, around 400 people have stepped in front of my lens. I’m deeply grateful to each of them. Every story, every face, every session has shaped this path.
And truly – any moment, in any phase of life, is a good moment to open up and let yourself bloom with UNFOLD. I warmly invite anyone who feels the pull to give it a try.
