Uniquely Nico Atelier is a British atelier creating sculptural, handcrafted bags for brides, special occasions, evening events, and women who want something beautifully distinctive. Based on the edge of East Anglia, our business is rooted in thoughtful craftsmanship, individuality, and the belief that accessories should feel both elegant and memorable. Every bag is made to order and handcrafted with care in our studio. We do not mass-produce or hold large stock levels. Each piece is created individually, allowing us to focus on quality, detail, and the character of every design. Our collections include occasion bags designed for brides, bridesmaids, wedding guests, celebrations, and statement event dressing. Our satin bags are handwoven using UK-made Berisfords double-faced satin ribbon. Berisfords is a British ribbon manufacturer dating back to 1858, and its satin ribbon is woven using 100% recycled yarns, with the recycled yarns certified by GRS and Oeko-Tex. For us, this reflects a commitment to considered material choices, British textile heritage, and supporting established UK makers wherever possible. The business began from a personal love of crochet, which developed into a couture crochet practice centred on sculptural form, texture, and refined finishes. Today, Uniquely Nico Atelier continues to grow as a small independent brand, with every bag still made by hand by the founder. This hands-on approach means each order receives personal attention from start to finish. As a family-supported business, we also value practicality alongside beauty. Our designs are shaped not only by craftsmanship and creativity, but by real consideration of how a bag should work, what it should hold, and how it should feel to carry.
