Buyer beware
This company misrepresented itself as a moving company when in fact it’s just a broker—something they deliberately failed to disclose upfront. Instead, they charged a hidden broker fee under the guise that the payment was going to the actual movers. What was quoted as a $1,695 move ultimately cost me $2,300. When I raised concerns about this blatant bait-and-switch, they tried to hide behind a vague, one-sided contract—as if a deceptive and incomplete document gives them carte blanche to exploit customers.
Prior to the move, I attempted to update my inventory in writing—and was completely ignored. Then the movers they subcontracted arrived visibly frustrated that the inventory was inaccurate. That’s on the broker, not me. To make matters worse, I was explicitly told I’d receive my belongings within 5–7 days. The actual movers told me the realistic window was 21–30 days—another flat-out lie from this broker.
Pickup day was another disaster. The movers arrived late, and in the confusion, took perishable goods I had set aside for a birthday gift—items that should never have been loaded. The movers themselves were professional and kind, but due to a clear language barrier (they spoke little to no English), I believe that’s how those items were mistakenly taken. Again, this falls squarely on the broker for failing to ensure clear communication and proper coordination.
This company operates through misrepresentation, omission, and disorganization. Their contracts are vague by design, their communication is nonexistent, and their business practices border on fraudulent. Consumers should avoid this company at all costs, and I would strongly urge anyone considering them to seek alternative services before becoming the next victim of their deceit.
RUN AWAY.
RUN AWAY.
These people are complete scammers.
Check their ratings. They have only 1 star or 5star….. the 1 star reviews are from genuinely concerned customers. All the 5 stars are purchased as u can clearly see the ratings are all added one by one each day this year.
They were so nice until I signed the contract, they didn’t even reach back to be with the mover details on the promised date. Because of them my entire moving is messed up. They are SCAMMERS, just run away
The United Express representatives and…
The United Express representatives and customer service department were awesome. They were clear with expectations and provided excellent service. I wasn't able to make the move happen so there was nothing I can say about that, but every person I spoke with was pleasant and understanding.
This company has deceptive practices
This company has deceptive practices. They will give you a price that most assuredly is inaccurate but based on square footage of truck space. Then when they show up or during a call two days before they are going to show up they totally requote your moving price. Mine went from $9535.24 to about $23,000./ They will say its because I didn't tell them about everything. That is a lie, i went over it room by room item by item.

Jonathan & Stephen saved the day by efficiently and carefully packing my apartment. Their skills amaze me, and I'm grateful for all their hard work.
Thanks to you
Thanks to you, everything went smoothly throughout the move. The help and advice from William & Willie have been invaluable. I will call them again for my move.

They show up at 5 am with no liftgates to complete the job, they represented that all of their drivers and laborers are fully vetted and trained how ever it was a group of guatemalens who don’t speak any English. It is worth noting that this company only brokers the move they are not “ the moving company. I would not recommend hiring (see reviews)
Fast, Easy, Reliable
This company made our big move easy and stress free! The movers were kind and professional, they provided amazing customer service, and we really appreciated how they wrapped up our furniture. Our items arrived safely in a timely manner. Thank you guys again for a job well done!!
As a family of five
As a family of five, we were astonished at how simple and affordable it was to relocate to our new home. They were able to move with relative ease and grace. Really appreciate it.
Be Aware And Know What You're Getting Into
I enlisted United Express in helping my family move from Oregon to Ohio. I scheduled my move in April 2024 for a date in August 2024. Based on my inventory and what size apartment/house I was moving (a 2bdrm apartment), I was quoted around $3500. This was an amazing price; we had looked at doing it ourselves with a Uhaul and it would have been around $5000 so we thought we were saving money. Plus, they would load and unload. I was excited. I put down a $1500 deposit.
The first problem came when I misplaced the contract on my phone. I reached out several times through calls and emails just to get another copy. It literally took 2 weeks for them to send me one. In this day and age it should have taken 2 seconds.
Fast forward to August, moving month. In comes the famous Ryan who I'm sure is mentioned in other reviews, sometimes favorable maybe but not in my case. This guy calls 2 days before your move to finalize your inventory. This call should be made way in advance than just two days. I think it's done this way because it puts people in a situation that they might not fight with. Keep in mind, we are moving across the country, not the county. We had already given our notice to our jobs, our rental house etc. We'd paid rent on a place in Ohio already. We are ready to go! We cannot stay in Oregon with no income and no housing, so we will do what we need to, they purposely put you in that position. And two days before your movers are scheduled to load your stuff is just unacceptable.
Anyway, lo and behold Ryan brings my quote from $3500 to $5500 "worst case scenario" is what he says. On top of that, he wants another $1500 to "lock in" that supposed "discount." AND, I can't even get off the phone with him to discuss this with my husband or he can't guarantee that discount. I was at work at the time as was my husband. We had to do a three way call with Ryan and discuss our financial situation with him listening in. Two days before we move. If we cancel the move, we forfeit the original $1500 I put down in April. In hindsight, losing that money would still have been the cheaper option for us, but we didn't know that at the time. So we put down another $1500, which was supposed to towards our new $5500 (worst case scenario) quote.
Now it's moving day. A company based out of Seattle came. They were supposed to be there Saturday, then it got moved to Sunday. We were told noon, they didn't arrive until 330. And of course the foreman was able to just look in our storage unit and determine that we would be going over the "worst case scenario" amount of $5500. His crew wouldn't even unload the unit until we agreed with the new amount; which was another $6300, making our grand total $9300 for a move that we were originally quoted $3500 for. Again, we are in a very hard place. We have to move, and we have put out $3000 already. By 800 pm, they still haven't finished. Keep in mind, this was a 10x10 unit that my husband and I loaded ourselves, yet three young guys took several hours to empty it. And because we were misquoted by United Express we had to leave behind a china cabinet, a washer and dryer and a huge sectional sofa with a chaise lounge. Even though all of these items were on my original inventory list that was put together in April.
Finally, we are in Ohio! Belongings were supposed to be delivered to our house. But, since all of our belongings are lumped in with others it's all on a semi and they can't get down my street. The semi driver was super nice though and gave us the option of renting a uhaul and he and his partner would meet us at a truck stop unload our stuff into the uhaul and my husband and I would take it from there. I am glad he at least gave us a break doing that because it would have been another thousand or two if we didn't.
This was such a huge disaster and we will never again use United or recommend them to anyone. I didn't find out until the conversation with Ryan two days before our move that we were basically alotted a compartment on a truck along with other families belongings. I was under the impression that I was paying for a crew of guys who were going to drive a penske or uhaul for us. This was not explained in my original phone call when I reserved my dates. So be aware of what you're getting into.
A couple of our belongings were not delivered, but there's no point in contacting UE about it because they won't do anything.
Whoever they have doing inventory calls now, Ryan or someone else, they need to be making those calls way in advance of two days before someone's move. They do that on purpose to take away a person's options.
We were quoted $3500 and paid $9300. I really hope this review helps someone.
They do not stand by their estimates
To say I am dissatisfied is an understatement. They never moved my property, and I lost my $1,272 deposit. I contracted with United Express Moving to ship a partial load to our home in FL.. My original estimate was $1,658 based on what they estimated as 286 CF of material. Days before the move, they contacted me again to review my inventory. I repeated the same number of boxes and items, but this time they estimated it to be 360 Cubic feet. To make matters worse, even though my estimated inventory only increased by roughly 25%, they increased the price by 50%. I was assured that if I had less, I would get a credit at the time of move.. On the day of the move, the mover showed up 6 hours late and insisted they I had 709 Cubic feet of property and doubled the price again. Thinking ahead, I prepared a very detailed inventor of all my boxes which amounted to only 210 Cubic feet. The mover said I was wrong and refused to move my property for any less than $4,000. In short, you cannot trust this company… when I called them again today to try to work out a compromise they said, “ What we give you is only an estimate” , & “its not a binding quote” . When I tried to dispute them with my credit card company, I lost because they said it was not a binding quote, and all deposits were not refundable. In short, it was a total rip off.
I addition to losing my deposit, was forced to cancel airline & hotel reservations that were arranged ahead of time to meet the movers in Florida which also came with a penalty.
At the end of the day, I rented a 400 CF container, loaded my original 210 CF of material, added a dining room table, 8 chairs, one sectional couch, plus a 8X12 rug, and a China cabinet…. And had room to spare.

United Express Moving and Storage got us in last minute for our move! The crew did an amazing job moving us out of our apartment and into our house! They took excellent care of all our furniture and valuables and were friendly and professional. We loved working with this moving company and we're satisfied with our experience.
Horrible Experience
Horrible Experience - Complete They Are Scam
DON'T USE UNITED EXPRESS!!! I had an absolutely terrible experience with United Express Moving and Storage, Florida. They charged me $1,000 upfront and didn’t do anything they promised! They left my belongings stranded, and when I tried to contact them, their customer service was non-existent and incredibly rude. It’s clear this company has no integrity or professionalism. I feel completely scammed and regret ever trusting them with my move. Avoid this company at all costs—they are nothing but frauds. They will take your money and leave you in a worse situation than you started! On top of that, they closed my access to my contract through their website, leaving me completely in the dark with no way to resolve the issue.

Professional team with great communication
My experience with this company has been my best moving experience to date. I found United Express online. After a lot of research I was anxious about putting my belongings in the hands of someone else. I wanted to do the move myself but recently had some health issues that would have made it difficult. I shopped around and found that the effort United Express put into communicating with me and working around my plans was the reason I booked with them. I was offered some lower pricing by two other companies but with my past moves, remembered the over promise and under deliver tactics used with cheap quotes. I haven’t used a moving company in 8 years because of damage I had the last time. I spoke with Carl Kemp who walked me through the process and continued to find solutions to concerns I thought would be problematic. He was patient with my requests and it gave me comfort to feel secure and move forward. From arrival to end delivery I was informed and guided so I could stay ahead of stressful outcomes or the worry of where my things are. I thought I would later regret going this route, but I can’t thank United Express enough for taking the time to explain the process and have my possessions delivered safely. The only thing broken was a mug I placed in a box I packed last minute. I was most nervous about my antique table getting damaged or having a broken leg, but when I watched their movers carefully wrap it while being patient with my anxiety induced instructions, I was hopeful of its safe arrival. Sure enough the table is now in my new home and I can finally settle down. I can see there’s some mixed reviews here, but if you’re patient and explain your situation, this company will do what they can to accommodate you. I personally recommended them to my friend moving to Oklahoma soon. Special thanks to Elissa for her kindness when I kept calling and reassuring me throughout the process. Your team is extremely professional. A million thanks.

I can’t thank United Express enough for their services. I was in a pickle and they dropped everything and made sure I was taken care of. I moved a 2 bedroom apartment with a storage units down the street. The move cost me $4,271 and it was so worth it. I thank Jim for his attention and compassion and knowledge to guide me through packing some of my family heirlooms. The delivery was fast and the men were so careful. I recommend them fully if you need a mover!
This company is a complete scam!!!
This company is a complete scam!!!
They are not a moving company at all and do not tell you that on the phone. They will contact a random moving company that is NOT EVEN LICENSED. The company that they tried to send me did not even accept credit cards. Only cash, zelle, cash app, money orders from the post office, or wire transfers.
They are also not accredited by the BBB and or looks like most of their 5 star reviews on Google are fake. They mostly come from first time reviewers with no photos, so they probably paid a company to just give them a bunch of 5 star reviews. Please read all of the 1 star reviews and you will see who they really are.
They will mislead you and straight up lie to you to get you to put down a deposit. Then they will do everything they can to make sure that they will never refund you for that deposit.
The price they quoted me was just under $1600 and I put down $524 for the deposit. I then tried to cancel the next day after learning that they did not do the moving themselves and they refused to refund me even though no services were ever delivered and I paid less than 24 hours ago.
I then found out that the price they quoted was only a third of what other companies were charging and was $700 less that it would have been for me to rent a uhaul and do it myself. So their prices are purposely low to lure you in and steal your money.
From what I’ve read in the other reviews most people end up getting charged more when the moving starts.
Stay away from this company. They are a complete scam and will steal your money.
I have filed a dispute with my credit card company.
