Great prices, great range of projects and parts, and fast delivery.

Prompt shipping, reasonable prices, very responsive customer service response on questions, make mail order fun again. Saves weeks over buying things off mysterious far-off Web sites. Not a source for everything, but enough of the "glue" items like discrete resistors, transistors, etc. to put together a complete MCU based project. Integrated "mini-PLC" systems eliminate tedious redesign of real-world-level I/O and let me concentrate on the problems I want to solve.

I got exactly what I ordered and the package only took a week to be delivered. Unfortunately what I ordered won't fit what I have, but that is no fault of Universal Solder. I like that they have cheap letter delivery.

I've place several orders now and never had a problem with any of them. They have sales every few months that are great for stocking up on random parts.

I engaged with Universal Solder seeking clarification on the optimal orientation for LEDs within one of their DIY kits. The objective was to preempt any errors prior to commencing the soldering process. Regrettably, the response I got back exhibited a lack of empathy and professionalism. My electronics proficiency was admonished and contended that the inquiry pertained to fundamental electronics knowledge, implying I should have been acquainted with it beforehand. Upon reviewing other customers experiences on Amazon I found evidence of similar experiences, customers being admonished for requesting support.

This exchange underscored a misalignment with standard customer service expectations, particularly since my query was confined to their specific kit. Subsequently, I reported the matter to Amazon, leading to a significant change in tone and attitude in subsequent mail, extending a conciliatory message, apologizing for earlier stance and pledging assistance for kit-related concerns. Evidently, my course of action triggered this transformation.

However, it remains apparent from the nature in which this seller chooses to respond that the essence of respectful customer interactions and basic tenets of customer service eludes Universal Solder. This account serves as an informative narrative for potential consumers, aiming to offer them transparency regarding the nature of interactions they may encounter. It is inappropriate form of gaslighting for a seller to emphasize that leaving a sincere review for the purpose of informing consumers is an unwarranted waste of time, or to imply that due to many happy customers I must be the problem. You can see in their reply they have no intent to take any ownership of their behaviour, and continue to try and point a finger at me. Contrary to the belief of the owner, there are no circumstances that a polite customer should be treated with condescending disrespect. My intention is to empower fellow consumers with factual insights, aiding them in making well-informed decisions.
