Great experience and good quality bike

I thought this was the best bike rental value in Miami Beach area and I tried 4. CitiBike is just OK, and this place has better quality hybrid bikes and it's only $20USD for 2 hours, with a lock and helmet. The lady was nice and if I'm ever back this way this is where I'll go without question.

I went with my friend to this rental…

I went with my friend to this rental place. At first, everything seemed fine — they had good-looking bikes, and the store appeared nice. However, our reservation was specifically for 2 PM, and they told us the bikes weren’t available. We had to wait another hour, and when we finally got the bikes, they were in terrible condition — the front brakes didn’t even work! We just left. Very bad company.

Very bad rental

Very bad rental. Hold the additional charge for like 3 months and the bikes are in bad shape, with bad and weak brakes

Unsafe Bike and Poor Customer Service

I rented a bike for 2 hours, and within 10 minutes the chain came off. This was very dangerous and could have caused a serious accident. I called their support line, but instead of helping, they told me to walk the bike back to the shop (a 20-minute walk). I waited on the phone, but there was no real assistance. When I asked for a refund, they hung up on me.

This company does not maintain its bikes properly and clearly does not care about customer safety. I’m requesting a full refund of $22.05, but more importantly, I would warn others to avoid this rental service.

Pitiful

Pitiful. A promotional code (10%) communicated by mail for the reservation (code CHECKOUT) which doesn't work but I'm told it's normal. It's only for booking by phone...On site (Central Park), we pick up 3 electric bikes for the day, quickly realizing (but already too late) that one battery isn't fully charged (far from it), soon that one bike no longer has a rear brake (great!) and that another has a saddle that moves backwards because it hasn't been sufficiently secured (happiness!). We return the bikes (Brooklyn Bridge), explaining the inconvenience. We were told that our complaint would be passed on to the agency at fault, and that the absence of a rear brake was an unacceptable fault (phew!). But the best part came on our return to the hotel, when we realized that we had been charged an additional $32.66 on the card used for the reservation, without any explanation. We emailed customer service, but received no response.

Paid too much and treated badly

Be careful not to let them mislead you. Our credit card was charged full price at the counter despite having NY City passes. There was no willingness at all to straighten this out with a refund of the rent, even though we had sent the QR codes of the passes to the support office immediately the same day. They scanned them only after a few days when the passes had already expired and then informed us that no claim for a refund was anymore possible. They are very customer-unfriendly and unwilling to learn from their mistakes let alone admit them. I recommend renting bikes through the Lyft app (first month free).

Never rent from this company!

Never rent from this company!
We rented e-bikes for 3 hours. On the way back to the store the brakes failed on my son’s e-bike as we were going downhill during rush hour traffic in San Diego. As my son went through the intersection with no way to stop he hit a car. I contacted the company and they forwarded my email to their manager, Josh Febrey. I have called and emailed numerous times with no response from management.

-----
Efficient check-in to get your bike but:
Obligation to pay 1 dollar by credit card to check your financial status (in case of damage, for example) is too ridiculous. You will not get this dollar back, which means that unlimited biking wrongly cashes a few 100 dollars per day. It is also highly undesirable to make it mandatory to leave behind an identity card (e.g. passport or driver's license). Bicycles were fine, but the obligations to obtain them are also ridiculous.

Exploring Central Park

Exploring Central Park on one of their guided bike tours was an absolute blast! Our guide made the experience truly exceptional. Not only did I get to see the park's beautiful landscapes from a unique perspective, but I also gained a wealth of knowledge about its rich history.

A fantastic Bike Tour with Dan

Dan is a great guide. Knowledgable, funny and very inclusive. The tour lasted two hours but it went too quickly and I could easily have spent all day exploring Central Park with our group.

NEVER book at this company

NEVER book at this company! If you do, check your bike for possible defects, as far as you can see!

What happened:
The bicycles were handed over without a joint check. We only cycled 100 meters in Central Park when my daughter's bicycle had the derailleur slammed into the spokes of her rear wheel. She could have been seriously injured, luckily it ended well.
First it was well solved by a replacement bike. But when we handed in the bikes, the hassle started: we had to pay for the damage of the derailleur! Instead of apologizing for sending you out with bad equipment, they also charge you for the cost of the poor equipment and apparently negligent maintenance!! They don't care that the bike breaks after 100 meters, you just have to pay.

This is a company that sends tourists out with poorly maintained and dangerous equipment and then also pulls you a leg.

Unlimited Biking is scamming tourists. They hold you liable for damage that you really did not make. With this method they apparently want to pay for the maintenance of their bicycle park.

Again: NEVER book with Unlimited Biking. Unlimited Biking = Limited Biking
