Great Value

We recently stayed at Mantra Legends in the Gold Coast through an Unsold deal I’d purchased early in the year. I booked my dates and hotel in with them at that time.

A day prior to travel I was a little nervous as I had only received confirmation from unsold (but not the hotel), customer service at unsold were great and within an hr of me emailing them they had the hotel send through their confirmation.

For the money we paid we were very very happy and will buy an Unsold deal again.

I booked a vacation for next summer

Update: I asked my bank for a refund through a credit dispute claim; they refunded the money but sent an email requesting me to send "adequate information" about the merchant company, which I did. But they finalized that I'd have to contact Unsold directly and request for my refund. I have sent in my request on their website. I'm really hoping that I get my refund...this is so upsetting!!

I booked a vacation for next summer, and now I'm surprised as everyone else to find the website down, and my money gone. This is heartbreaking. I should have known this was an obvious scam. Any chance of contacting the hotel to get my money back?

I have no less than 6 vouchers to different places, My first one last year was actually booked with the hotel, and when I contacted them for refund as I couldn't fly to Mexico, they proceed to refund the next day. After that I thought, was legitimate so was just grabbing the offers... Is this real? Is it a scam?

If I could give zero stars

If I could give zero stars, I would. I read reviews 4 months ago and trusted that unsold.com was a legitimate business. A few days ago I noticed the website was down. It has not been up since. I contacted customer service and never received a response. Checked my Hilton reservation and saw that it was cancelled today. The room I booked is no longer available. They could give me a discount on a king room but I need two beds. I was supposed to be checking in on August 14th. Now I am out the money I gave unsold and have to book another room at a higher rate. I should have just booked directly with the hotel at that point the rates were low. Now everything is more expensive. I am only thankful that I found out about the cancellation before I travelled. Of course, unsold.com did not contact me about the cancellation. They emailed Hilton to cancel but couldn't send me an email. If you have a reservation be prepared to book something else.

I can't use the vouchers I bought.

The website has been down for at least days. I bought two hotels (Hawaii and NYC) and now I can't book either one. I'm in the process of issuing a chargeback with the credit card company

Looks like we were scammed.

Actually, our first trip with unsold.com went without a hitch. We spent 3 nights at Pismo Beach and it was well worth the money we paid. Our second vacation was for Palm Springs, and apparently, the business has now gone under or something. There must be a LOT of people scrambling around right now wondering how to get their money back. Worse if their vacation that were planned are now totally ruined. Fortunately for us, we didn't pay a lot for our stay in Palm Springs, buy if there is some kind of class action lawsuit, count me in!

If you are reading this, you were scammed like me but there is a hope

Like many others, I also was scammed by this company and had my trip to Maldives canceled 24 hours before my flight. Initially, I thought the fraud had affected only myself and my family but apparently this company did a lot of harm and a lawsuit is the minimum that we can do against them. For those who are in this situation, contact the hotel and explain the situation. The hotels don't have anything to do with this fraud. In my case, the manager honored the same price agreed with unsold. Second, call you credit card provider and file a dispute against the company. Almost all credit cards nowadays have insurance to cover this type of scams. I had to use the same insurance in the past against an airline and I got every cent back. I know that this does not pay for the frustration and disappointment but it is better than nothing. After a terrible night, luckily I was able to get to an agreement with the hotel and it is all good for now.

Four trips booked, €1031 paid, now they've disappeared

I'm just going through what so many others are right now who have been scammed. My first step is to request chargebacks through Visa & Mastercard, and I recommend others do the same if you want any hope of getting your money back. I am of course open to partaking in a lawsuit as well.

Fraud. Lawsuit needed

I paid $316 to reserve a hotel and now I cannot reach them. I received an automated e-mail stating that they have ceased normal business operations. According to the payment, the company's name is BT*Travel Bookings and is based in the USA. So I guess we need to unite and file a lawsuit. If anyone is interested, we can create a FB Group and plan the actions

I reported the FRAUD on these sites: ic3.gov and ftc.gov

Please, do the same.

Update: I got the refund

I have several pending reservations in addition to several vacations purchased and not yet reserved for the future. How do I get my money back for the future vacations and the two reservations already made? NYC in October and Prague in December. My NYC hotel has confirmed but they have not been paid so I get stuck with having to pay more than double the cost I already paid unsold.con

My London Hilton Hotel booking has CONFIRM

Last night I had an email from unsold.com that they have been forced to cease normal business operations effective immediately. This is my first purchase with them; I had booked seven nights of London Hilton hotel a few weeks ago for next week staycations with my daughter, therefore I rang the hotel and they confirm that there is my booking can be found on their system; full payment has been made as well. I also request a twin room without any problem.
Keep the fingers crossed and see how things are going on next week.

This is a fraud!

Today I got an email from unsold.com saying their business is ceased while I had bought and booked a travel to Whistler. I called Hilton hotel as I supposed to arrive there next week but I was told my booking has already canceled by Expedia! I was charged for this travel by bookvip.com
These companies work together;
Unsold.com sold our travel, bookvip.com charged me and Expedia canceled my booking at hotel just few days before arrival ! What is my right? Just losing money? What is this if it is not a fraud ?

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. Unsold have gone bust and despite us booking our hotel through them 4 months ago, the hotel has advised there is no booking.

Thankfully I read the reviews on here and found that it. Imagine if we’d flown there and no hotel.

No hotel and no refund. Extremely disappointing.
