Their support is fake and doesn't even reply you. If you buy updf from the official web page, you would see that there is a 30 day money back guarantee. And which I requested on the FIRST DAY of purchase because my Intel CPU doesn't have OCR cabiability, and which was not noted on anywhere until I went to see on the user guidelines. Which was after purchase and when I went to find their customer support, there was no reply. For 4 days already

UPDF is incredible. But it is unbelievable that I installed the software with a permanent licence and without choosing to try out the AI Tools and, after a few days, I am charged for an annual licence of the AI Tools, which I have no need of and did not want in the first place.
I wrote to technical support and got no reply. According to European law, I am entitled to a full refund within 14 days of purchase (which I did not do knowingly, by the way).

Eventually the technical support wrote me to a complete refund for the piece of software I do not need.

They charge you automatically and don't want to make a refund!!!

I was looking for a reliable PDF viewer after Adobe Reader kept crashing my PC due to a driver conflict. That's when I discovered UPDF and Foxit PDF on YouTube. While both options seemed promising, I was drawn to UPDF's sleek and minimalistic interface, which reminded me of Adobe Reader. Foxit's Microsoft Office-like design, on the other hand, seemed cluttered and overwhelming for simple PDF viewing. Plus, UPDF was more budget-friendly.

Overall, I'm thoroughly enjoying UPDF and its the BEST PDF Editor out there, which offers many of the pro features found in Adobe Acrobat (the premium version of Adobe Reader). However, there are a few improvements that could be done to push me to give it a full 5-star rating and its mostly with the aesthetics of the software:

- Dark Mode Aesthetics: I'm not a fan of the purple accent highlighting in dark mode, as it can be hard to read. A blue theme, similar to Visual Studio Code, would be more visually appealing.
- UI Icons: The icons on the left panel for different modes look a bit outdated compared to the modern, minimalistic icons on the right panel. Additionally, the icons can appear small on larger monitors (I'm using a 32-inch 4K display).
- File Thumbnails: The actual file thumbnails could be cleaner and more modern, similar to those found in Adobe CC applications.

I feel that UPDF should consider offer a free/basic tier for those who want to view and sign documents, similar to Adobe Reader and Foxit PDF Reader. Both of these competitors offer free versions that allow users to view PDFs and fill out forms. This, in turn, would increase UPDF's visibility and credibility and UPDF would become an industry standard in the PDF software market than Adobe. A bit like how Blender (the 3D modelling software) is being widely adopted and replacing other 3D software software.

It works wonderfully! I needed to complete a PDF form, and it functioned perfectly. I highly recommend it as an alternative to Adobe Acrobat. I especially appreciate the AI feature that converts PDFs into mind maps.

Great experience so far. Although the program has a bit of a learning curve, a Google search usually offers the answer from their page to how to do x or y action. I've been using the program for about 2 weeks and so far I've been able to do everything I've wanted to do.
From my point of view, they need to improve the pdf compression in the size reduction option a bit (my scanning with my cell phone may cause problems in this), and it would also be good if they added tools to be able to lighten or darken images to improve the results of the scans.
So far, I'm happy with the purchase and the program.

I bought a perpetual license months ago and couldn't be more happy! I use to convert scanned PDFs into editable ones, to correct my students' homework and in general to sort my PDFs (split/unit functions). There's a wide array of nice stickers and editing functions too. Support helped me once when I had a question :)
