I paid for service to fix my tumble dryer and because the dryer is old I had to order the part and wait 18 weeks for. When the time came close to 18 weeks, I called them to make an appointment and then I realised the company went bust. How awful!! They don’t even notify me 😡

UpFix office administration needs to be made much more efficient,

I have a Bosch washing macine.I had problems with it so I went to Bosch on the internet and they referred me to UpFix.
I contacted UpFix on 7th July and booked an engineer to visit me at home on 4th August.
The engineer appeard on that day and examined the washing machine. He was very efficient and said the machine needed to have replacement of certain parts. I paid for the additional repairs (in advance) and waited to hear from UpFix.
I heared nothng from UpFix and contacted them a number of times. I was told that they were waiting for parts. A engineer eventuually arrived on 19th August. He did a very efficient repair and the macnine now works perfectly.
My complaint is not about the quality of work from the engineers. They were very efficient. My complaint is that I heard nothing at all from UpFix about fixing the extra parts (ecept when I called them) for 15 days. My compliant is about the administration of the office repair department. It needs to be made much more efficient.

Charged £75 for nothing and refund refused.

Our fridge stopped working (although the freezer still worked) and after initially trying to sort it ourselves we booked an engineer and paid the £75 fee upfront. After trying a few more things my husband managed to get the fridge working again…on the evening before the engineer was due. He messaged that evening on their ‘contact us’ link to try and cancel the call out. Got no response then or since. My husband tried to call at 7.45am on the day of the call out but no calls were accepted before 9am. He tried at 9am and was told he couldn’t cancel as it was less than 24 hours notice. My husband pointed out that he’d tried to give them as much notice as possible but the message wasn’t responded to. Also he had never been made aware of the 24 cancellation period (can’t find it on their website at all either). The engineer turned up that morning, but left immediately as he was no longer needed. We appreciate the engineer did turn up and would accept a partial refund (despite trying hard to contact them the previous day). To have to pay £75, which we really can’t afford, for nothing is disgraceful.

Faulty fridge plight

Good schedule confirmation of a visit by UpFix today. Time of day and that they will call prior, which they did.
Checked my fridge to see what was wrong. Told me what it was, compressor to be replaced. The engineer then said I would receive a quote for repair. Very soon after he left, today, I received this email "Found compressor has locked up after a power cut We do not replace compressors."
Ok, it cost me nye on £100 for a faulty Fridge diagnosis. I dread to think what the repair and part would cost me?

TOTALLY AVOID!

TOTALLY AVOID!
Made a bookingomn a Friday morning via a website called Glotech who act as agents to make repair to built in microwave. An online booking was made for a Monday engineer to arrive between 08.00 and 17.00. At 16.00 not having heard from the engineer called to check they were coming. The initial response was you don't have a booking. After further searching the guy said he found the booking but no one would be coming because it was a microwave and they don't repair microwaves. Clearly this company have not heard of COURTESEY. So, I wasted an entire day waitingfor these clowns. So, what is the point of booking with either upfix or via Glotech as there is no certainty that they will honour appointments NOR have the COURTESEY to let you know that they do not have the capabilities to do the job. Suggest you use NAC Domestic appliances -hone4st, efficient and do what they say. Upfix and Glotech waste of time.

Simple, effective and cheap!

Simple to book, we were kept up to date with arrival times, and our washing machine was fixed in no time! Really pleased we didn't buy another one, and the flat fee is really reassuring.

Faulty Oven fixed

The fault with my Zanussi oven was fixed very quickly this morning by John. Replaced element and bulb, tested appliance, job done. Company initially contacted via Zanussi website but apparently going direct is cheaper.

Mistakes, delays and made to feel awful by customer service

It’s been one issue after another. All I needed was a basic fix of a ripped seal on a washing machine. I had to wait two weeks for someone to come out only to look at the machine and say .. we will have to order that. A week goes by, nothing, I chase it up half way through the next week another engineer (which to his credit was mortified and been very helpful) the wrong part had been ordered so he ordered it again.. over the next week I call the main office number for updates being assured the part had come in and I would get a call back that day to confirm .. nothing .. calls up again and spoke to Phoenix the customer service manager, I assured her at the beginning of the call that I was frustrated and that I was not venting at her personally (I work in customer service so I know how annoying this is) she was very robotic and blunt accusing me of shouting at her when I was merely using a frustrated tone but I would never swear at anyone that just isn’t me. I wanted her to listen to my concerns and sympathise. Instead I got a very cold attitude with lots of excuses and pushing it back on me! I was made to feel so unbelievably small I was in tears at the end of the call .. she was not interested at all and has just been the cherry on the cake of a bad experience. I have now gone back to my insurance company to confirm I do not want to deal with this company again

On January 3rd 2025 Matt repaired our dishwasher BEKO.
The repair has been excellent, This is a late .
review because we `ve been on holiday.
Matt was cheerful, polite, kept us informed throughout of what was wrong and his mending of it. He was helpful, enjoyed his job and we`d love to have him again if necessary for another appliance. It was a joy to have him in the house

What on earth are they doing?

Called to have a technician look at our dishwasher, previously diagnosed by another repair "out-fit", as a burnt out circuit board. Which seems very plausible to me, considering what happened in the moments before it stopped working.
I later received an invoice along with an authorisation request to order parts. They diagnosed the problem & new parts required as: 1) New Pump, 2) New motor & 3) a new NTC sensor.
There is no problem with the dishwasher pump or it heating up water, so I really do not understand how this was diagnosed & still not take into account the burnt-out circuit board.
Poor show, would not recommend.

Rip off merchants

Engineer came round to check on my 3 year old Fridge Freezer as it was making a noise. Spent 5 mins asking me to describe the noise and then left - no inspection whatsoever, could've literally just read the initial call notes. Then had an email the next day so it can't be fixed due to economical reasons. Very annoyed that they took a full call out charge for this and didn't even take the back of the fridge off. Basically, if its very cheap and easy to fix they will do it, if its potentially slightly more complicated they will just take your call out charge and leave you high and dry. Worth bearing this in mind as I couldn't find anywhere on their website that states this

Fault diagnosis by guesswork

So-called 'technician' arrived and never even touched faulty oven! Made guesses at probable fault causes, despite being told clearly by customer what problem was. Faulty fan and heating element suggested, despite these clearly working. Customer told a spare part needed ordering, which could have been done prior to visit as all required model, product and serial numbers previously supplied. Totally incompetent.

3days later, after initial review
Refund kindly arranged, ‘technician’ no longer works for Upfix.

A real shambles!

The problem is that I’ve been without my dishwasher for so long I’m now annoyingly starting to enjoy doing the washing up… this is a chore that I once loathed! Look, UPFix engineers are all very nice, when they actually turn up…and if they indeed do turn up be able to fix the fault. But, the problem is that twice over the course of a few months now, we have re arranged our days so as not to miss the engineer only for them not to turn up or call to explain. Bearing in mind I’ve actually paid up front for parts ( the first part didn’t fix the problem) and now I'm told a gasket a rubber seal at £95.00 is needed to fix it. I do hope that one day they’ll actually turn up when arranged and then can actually fix it for me.

I had been having many problems with my broken dishwasher and not getting anywhere. I spoke with Gemma and she took complete control of the situation. She spoke with D&G who had been giving me incorrect information and got an engineer booked out to me fast all within a few minutes of my phone call. We need more Gemmas - thank you for resolving a stressful and relentless situation efficiently and quickly.
