A great renewable energy company.
We contacted OHM a year ago and an engineer visited our property and said he thought it was technically possible to install an Air Source Heat Pump. Subsequently we had some problems with local (EHDC) planners, that OHM helped resolve. In September 2020 a team installed the system very carefully and effectively over 4 days. Back office help with RHI support also very good.
We would definitely recommend OHM Energy.

Avoid
OHM installed a very expensive oil-fired boiler four years ago. The job was not finished properly (electrical work was not completed, leaving a junction box with exposed wires which shorted once the boiler sprang a leak). I have called OHM on numerous occasions in an effort to get the boiler sorted, but eventually gave up. The gentleman I needed to talk to was never available and months later has never returned my calls. On one occasion, they even claimed it was nothing to do with them, as they don't install oil boilers. Interestingly i was looking at their invoice for many thousands of pounds at the time! I have managed to get a replacement boiler fitted (the manufacturer paid for the boiler) using another company who have been appalled at the standard of work on the previous installation. It is quite possible that the fault in the boiler arose because the system was wrongly configured, causing excessive corrosion. The only recommendation i can give with regard to this company is "Avoid".

We remember your installation in 2016 as we agreed with you to use an OFTEC registered installer (as we don’t generally install oil boilers) because there were very limited options for your property.
The last time we serviced your boiler was in 2017 and no electrical fault came up during that service.
You probably remember we couldn’t support any installation post-2017 as we haven’t had an OFTEC qualified operative since then.
We contacted the manufacturer for you and submitted details as the boiler was out of warranty so are very pleased to read they have now replaced the boiler for you.
We are very understaffed throughout this pandemic so apologies if we haven’t been as prompt as we usually are.

Very poor service -DO NOT use .
Very poor service . An engineer visited my home to fix a heat pump. They said they needed a part .I have waited 4 weeks to hear back - multiple phone calls to chase up . Empty promises for a call back and let me know what is happening . . The manager is uncontactable . V poor customer service . I have given up . I do NOT recommend .

Looking back at the diaries and this period it is clear that we had a skeleton staff operating due to COVID. This caused problems on the availability of parts and much longer lead times. Sorry your experience was not a good one, but we have 1,000s of happy customers over the last 10 years.
