From the client side, there are a lot of hiccups with accidentally closing jobs and not being able to get them back open. The search tool for finding specific freelancers has never worked for me. The user interface seems convoluted at times. Like it could be much simpler.

You cherish quantity over quality. Now, it's all about profit. That's bad business. You losing rapidly your clients, and the trend is going to continue unless you reset yourself to the state not so long time ago when you were worried genuinely about freelancers. You are giving way to much attention to the clients now.

It's a great flatform with a lot of job opportunities. This is where I get my 1st client in freelancing, acquired experiences and hone my skills.

The downside only is that the freelancers fee is very high if only they could lower it.

I’ve had a great experience using Upwork. Payments feel secure, profiles are verified, and the platform makes everything clear and transparent. It’s easy to see client histories and project details upfront, which builds trust and makes collaborations smooth. Overall, it feels safe and reliable.

I love the hourly protection for freelancers. However, that is the only protection I have seen made available to freelancers. The employers seem to enjoy all the benefits upwork has to offer. Why does a payment have to stay for seven days before a freelancer can withdraw the earnings they've worked hard to earn?

A client only releases payments after approval of the project, so why can't the payment be made available instantly after their approval?

Also, what's the logic behind freelancers buying connects to apply for a job, when getting a job is not guaranteed, and especially when upwork deducts a 10 to 15 percent of freelancer earnings?

It's a very good platform, with ease of use and very useful for freelancing. Many options available. There are some improvements that would enhance the experience, but overall is great and easy to use.

I have been using this platform for the past year, but I feel that it gives more priority to clients than freelancers. Clients seem to receive more support, while freelancer profiles are given less importance.

I once submitted a report three times against a client who gave me unfair feedback. I completed the work with a lot of hard work and effort, but the client still left me a bad review. As a result, my JSS dropped, and I do not believe the platform properly investigated the client’s behavior.

It feels like the platform always prioritizes clients, and this is very harmful for freelancers.

Majority of the time the app is stable so that's 9/10 on stability.
You can long in at anytime from anywhere with wifi it doesn't have to be stable that's a 10/10 on connectivity.
There are sudden downs that can ruin your schedule and they can last for almost an entire day. That is a big issue but not enough to be upset. Although it's important.
Now, It is incredibly hard to find good clients. But the good ones you find are amazing so that's a 7/10 in business opportunity.
Fees+ taxes are a considerable part of your income around 25 to 33% depending on where you live. That's a 7/10 on net income.

Majority of clients are are in the below 15 USD per hour range. Also there are a lot of scammers and people who want to take you out of the game. So that's a rough 5/10 on growth opportunity.

I'm super happy I am able to be here, I wish I could love it. But the people trying to take you out of the game and scammers is a big issue I am way more afraid to accept new clients for this than from me not doing a good job.

Upwork is a useful platform for finding clients, but it charges high service fees. On top of that, freelancers must buy connects to submit proposals, and the cost of connects has also increased. This makes it expensive, especially for beginners trying to get projects. Upwork should consider reducing fees or offering more free connects to make the platform fair and accessible.
