While waiting for the Plasma Case for AirPods Pro 3 to become available, I decided to internet shop for other cases. There were many alternate solutions available. Closer scrutiny always revealed an i... See more

I ordered a phone case for £16.00. It took 10 days to arrive. The "Track my delivery" says it is coming from Hong Kong. When it arrived the Post Office send me a card saying I owe £12.01 customs charge before they would release it. This then actually then has a 75% mark-up. So beware, if you buy anything from UAG you will end up paying custom duty or not receive your item. I emailed the firm (no phone number) and they said they have nothing to do with our customs and will not pay the duty or refund any money. I would not recommend this company and suggest you do not use them.
Wish I could give no stars. Just been hit with a £16.18 customs charge. It is made to look like the products are in the UK waiting to ship, its not until right at the end when you realise you have been had and have to wait for the items to come from Hong Kong. There is no contact number, and the online contact does not seem to work at all. This is 2020 its hard to believe that companies like these are still able to trade. I would recommend saving your money and buying an alternative product.
I ordered a protective case for my surface pro 7 and I received a defective one. On Jan 4th I emailed UAG because you can not speak to anyone in customer service (text/email). Lupita responded and created a ticket #371460). I emailed her back with the info she requested. It is now Jan 13th and she has not responded back. I regret buying a case from UAG after this experience.Very unprofessional. Beware!
Misleading website. Declares ‘free worldwide shipping.’ After 2 weeks, postcard arrives asking for £13.19 for custom and excise for my parcel to be released.
Upon contacting the company, I was sent a link to a small print section of the website which says you may incur a charge. I was also advised that I should have contacted my local customs and excise office to enquire about charges before I made a purchase! LOL! Who does that?! It’s 2020! Throughout the whole buying process, there was no indication that postage was anything other than free.
I have continued to attempt to contact them and there has been no response.
Misleading and sneaky business. Won’t deal with again.
I ordered a macbook pro case for my husband and received the incorrect size. After sending an email I was eventually informed I was responsible for the shipping cost. I then emailed all of the shipping details and haven't heard ANYTHING from them or should I say Jennifer. There is no customer service number. Only emails or text. What company have no customer service number!!!!!! They are frauds and scam people out of there money. You're better off using Amazon or a third party company. This company is complete G A R B A G E!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Really poor service. Delivery times are very slow, despite having in-country distributors. Delivery tracking stopped as soon as the item arrived at UK Customs. Phone case lost at this stage. Item refunded after 6 weeks. Won't use again.
A month after purchase it has still not arrived, Tracking info is pathetic, they did not reply to my emails enquiring about the late delivery until I opened Paypal case asking for a refund as the lateness forced me to buy last minute Christmas gift elsewhere so the undelivered item was no longer needed, they simply asked me to wait longer for the item and ignored my refund request! and lo and behold I have now been carded by royal mail stating customs charges of nearly £18 for an item that is now not needed, this company is missleading customers and has dubious working practices in that they have a uk flag on the website suggesting uk based, they state expedited delivery which it certainly is not, there is no mention of delivery timescale or a warning of customs charges or that the company trades from abroad during checkout process. And their lack of customer service or care is shockingly poor. As others have said Avoid avoid avoid
Absolutely appalling service, got landed with a £22 customs charge in the UK, UAG were unwilling to do anything about it. And this was after the package took over a month to arrive! I note a lot of people have mentioned this on here so you can basically assume if you hand your hard earned cash over to these clowns you’ll get a very late product and you can add around £20 to your order, plus the added luxury if collecting it yourself. To be honest there are much better products out there within this price range.
Same as most of the other reviews,. don't let the flash website fool you into parting with your hard earned money. surprise surprise, I had the,. you have to pay £20. 00 in unpaid post and taxes before you get the parcel. I felt like a proper fool. don't say you weren't warned. plenty of reputable sellers to spend your coin on before you need to go here
I will be honest I think UAG make one of the most stylish, functional, and durable iPhone cases out there in the plasma. However, customer service is what it is all about when I select a product. If you are like me you need to never purchase from the UAG website or trust that any warranty will be backed. I have had 5 different UAG cases for 5 generations of iPhones. This will likely be my last. I ordered the new version of the plasma for the iPhone 11 pro max and received someone else’s order. I thought it would be an easy fix, boy was I wrong. They do not have a contact phone number you can call. I text their customer support and they told me I needed to email. I emailed the details and they didn’t believe me so needed to send pictures. I did that including the incorrect packing slip with someone else’s name and address on it, the product that I received, and my original order information. They went silent. I have sent 5 more texts and emails and have not heard anything back over the past week. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and hope a fix is in the future. They should be embarrassed to have such poor customer service when they actually produce a decent product.
I incurred £17.79 in taxes for a shipment from HK. Avoid buying from Urban Armor Gear as it is a scam
Geez, wish I had come here before ordering.
Another UK customer stuck with import fees after being presented with a UK storefront with a "ships domestically in one week" label on the product page.
Shipped from Hong Kong, £20 import fees on a £48 item. I can see from the other reviewers this is normal practice for UAG, and I thought they were supposed to be a reputable company.
As others have stated, this is a scam. When you arrive at the site everything is in UK pounds and there is no indication that the shipment will actually come from Hong Kong and attract a large import fee.
I contacted them a couple of weeks after the order, when my item had not arrived and even then they did not admit that it was held in customs due to import duty being owed. Instead they misinformed me that 'In some occasions, the courier may not provide door to door delivery and they may require you to pick up the package instead.'
Unless they refund me I will report them to Trading Standards and I would advise everyone else to do the same.
Update - when I threatened to report them to Trading Standards, they refunded me...
For UK customers this is a scam. I ordered a case for around £65 only to find I have a customs charge to pay of £22.89. When I complained they simply directed me towards a page on their website which explains that I am responsible. Looking at the other reviews, it's clear that this has happened before and yet they still continue to ship goods without warning their customers of the charge, claiming that they are not responsible for charges in my country! I have no idea how they can conduct international business like this.
I have raised a dispute with PayPal and will now set about writing bad reviews for them wherever I can find the opportunity.
I bought a case for my iPhone 11 pro max and it took four weeks and cost me an additional £15.32 import tax. They say this is noted on their website but it’s not clearly stated or obvious in their shipping terms. The are possibly the worst company I have dealt with online with a Dickensian approach to shipping their products. Avoid like the plague buy something on Amazon instead!!!!!
As previous reviews have clearly stated, put another £15.52 on the price if you are ordering in the U.K. Also be prepared to wait 2 weeks for delivery from HK.
They have disclaimers in their support page but the delivery wait and the customs charge are not clearly stated at point of sale. Very poor practice indeed!!!
Shame, because the product is good but very disappointed with the shabby and unprofessional treatment of non-USA customers.
Very annoyed that they can get away with this behaviour.
Purchased a cover for my Samsung which subsequently started to fall apart leaving my phone with little or no protection.
Having informed the company of the issue, sending photos and proof of purchase they then emailed me back telling me they would not be honouring the terms of the warranty.
Absolute scumbag behaviour and completely unprofessional, I shall be consulting the CAB and will get my money back. Avoid this company at all costs as their goods are sub-standard and customer service is non existent.
Yesterday is the day when my UAG™ Plasma Ice put into test.
I accidentally dropped my phone 1 meter from a solid concrete floor. Amazingly, after I picked up the phone from the ground, there's no hint that there's a visual damage. I removed the case and found out that there's no crack whatsoever on my phone. There's no scratch as well, and the phone is just fine, working as usual.
UAG really protected my phone from the catastrophic event considering that iPhone XS is made from glass front and back.
$49.95 were proven to be reliable, and does the job really well. It is a money well spent.
Two thumbs up for UAG!!!
Ordered UAG Active Apple band. Looks awesome and comfortable. Ordered from Canada and received in 7 days. Was presently surprised. Thanks UAG
As others have said you buy them on line and then find out it is delivered from Hong Kong and then stung with a £15 customs charge. Might as well pay the extra £2 and buy one off ebay from a stockists in the UK. Still not even got my case as refuse to pay the customs charge after already paying £30 for the case so now seeking a refund from UA for not disclosing items are shipped from HK
