Avoid using the website usestaonline.com for your U.S. tourist visa application.

They present themselves as a travel agency, though no mention of this is made on their website. The website is designed to resemble an official government platform, but it is not affiliated with the U.S. government. Instead of the standard $21 visa fee, they charge $89, meaning they add an extra $68 without providing any actual services. Essentially, you're paying $68 for nothing, as you still have to complete the process yourself. The only service they seem to offer? Overcharging you!

You think you are applying via the official ESTA Gov website; instead, it's them, and you get charged circa 80 dollars when you can get the application processed in less than 20 minutes on the official website.
I can't believe they are allowed to do this.

Don't use, it's a scam. They clearly misrepresent themselves as "official", charge a "handling fee" of more than THREE TIMES the actual cost of the ESTA. Their terms and conditions state the will clearly inform you of the cost of the ESTA and Service Fee BEFORE you commit, but the only time you find out is when you receive the ESTA (some days later) because the ESTA states its cost ($21) vs what you actually paid ($89)

Google search shows it at the top of the list and it mirrors official US site...and I used it..they charged $79 dollars (they said it was on their web page but it is way way down), and the response was within the hour with a pdf and on checking the official US homelands security site said I had a legitimate ESTA. However if I cancelled credit card or Paypal it would be cancelled.
This was a Saturday afternoon.
However within the hour when I realised this was a UK DVLA type scam I immediately rang Barclaycard and asked them to stop the transaction - it was still pending. (However when I contacted Barclaycard a week later they are not going to give a refund from what I understand).
I took the view that if you have ever seen folk coming to grief at Homeland Security - you never want to be in that place. (Somebody else in this thread had that experience of being turned away).
I applied to the official site a second time, was told I had a valid ESTA and did I want to make a fresh application - I did - and now have an official piece of paper and a valid entry on the site.
These are hucksters out to make money. They did provide the service but I didn't want to take a chance - somebody else got caught and was refused entry was my fear which sounds well founded.
The ones I am very annoyed about are Barclaycard. It’s looks as if their online protection is only limited value and there are exceptions - they say they give examples on their website.
I am going to raise this with the banking ombudsman, Fraud Alert and Which. PayPal have been far more impressive sorting out online transactions gone wrong, so I will stick with them in future.
Sadly lesson learned - Buyer Beware!!!!

Not the real site - make sure it has official US.gov in the webpage.

They mirror the official site and there are several buttons inviting you to make a NEW APPLICATION.
You are actually asking for these cowboys to check if you have an application!
I'm referring it to visa....

If I could give a minus figure I would.I paid $89. I landed in the US for a work trip for 3 days thinking I had the correct documentation and at the security border force I was shouted at and passport taken off me with no explanation. I was taken to a room and sat for 50 minutes. The only reason I was seen fairly quickly was because I was crying so much! I was told under normal circumstances I would be charged €690 for entering without a visa. I told them what the link was etc and luckily as I worked for a US company they sorted it fairly quickly. But do not EVER use this company. Even when you google it it says it’s authorised but it can get you into SERIOUS trouble!!!!

We arrived at Heathrow to check in the esta said approved but was not accepted ,we had to return home 300 miles and our trip is postponed three days ,with considerable expense ,they should be shut down

Fake website , got to heathrow to be told i have no esta visa . Showed them the documents and they said its a fake website . The fact its at the top of google ! Google have committed fraud on me and i now can not get my flight . 800 pound down the drain !

Scam. Charge a $68 service charge for something that can be done via the US Customs & Border Protection website. What’s worse is that it’s difficult to work out how much you’ll be charged until after you submit payment details. Customer services have responded but are unwilling to provide any refund. Avoid at all costs.

The FAQ stated that they charge $21 for Esta, but they tool $87 from my card, I contacted them, they refund the money, but I never hear from them again. I began to be suspicious and I was right.

A total scam, i'm really surprised this page has been up for so long. It should be taken down

I too thought this was the official site.I paid $19 to check my application they said my visa wasn't valid and too apply for a new one for $89.the I checked with the official site and they said my visa was valid.avoid these conman and report them.

While the site actually does procure a legitimate ESTA application, it also charges 4x more than the CBP. An additional downside - you just provided your data to some unauthorized strangers.
