Most business software is built for offices. Patch is built for the van, the salon chair and the kitchen worktop, for the people who do the actual work. Patch started with a simple observation. The people who keep the country running, the valeters, the sparkies, the groomers, the gardeners, were running their businesses on a notepad, a phone that never stopped ringing and a calendar app never meant for booking jobs. They were brilliant at the work and buried in the admin. The tools that did exist were either built for big chains, priced for big chains, or so complicated you needed a weekend to set them up. None of them understood that a mobile valeter needs the postcode before they set off, that a dog groomer needs to know the breed, or that a cake maker lives and dies by the deposit on a wedding order. So we built Patch. One app to take the booking, ask the right questions, hold the slot with a deposit, send the reminder and take the payment. No spreadsheets. No chasing bank transfers. No missed calls turning into lost work. Just the bookings in the diary and the money in the bank. We keep it simple on purpose.
