Lack of transparent information re ISA withdrawal penalties
Disappointing that the bank isn't transparent about the penalty is for transferring out a fixed rate ISA before the term ends. They have a very vague statement- saying that you're "subject to an early withdrawal charge" but don't state what the penalty is. I had to contact them to find out and wasn't given very clear info. I was told a specific amount in pounds but not the number of days that amounted to (which I worked out for myself). Other ISA providers clearly tell you at the point of signing up what the penalty for early withdrawal would be.

Thank you so much for your review and I am sorry that the information around ISA Withdrawal Penalties was not clear at the start. The charge is based on the account's interest rate at the time of the withdrawal request and depends on how much time remains on the term:
- Less than 90 days remaining: You will lose the interest that would have been earned during the remaining term.
- Less than 1 year remaining: 90 days' interest.
- 1 to less than 2 years remaining: 180 days' interest.
- 2 to less than 3 years remaining: 270 days' interest.
- 3 to less than 4 years remaining: 320 days' interest.
- 4 years or more remaining: 365 days' interest.

Inspite of adequate notice to transfer…
Inspite of adequate notice to transfer an account it took 3 weeks to transfer after maturity. Explanation by both banks concerned was confusing. After maturity the account earned 0.1% interest for the delayed period.

I did try to contact you today, but unfortunately I wasn't able to reach you. I have since spoken with our ISA team, who have confirmed that the delay was with the transferring provider. They advised that we were regularly following up and chasing the transfer throughout the process.
