They are amazing and so helpful and supportive. I've been with them for 2 years and its been so easy sorting everything out. Sad I'm moving away from them. Checkout has been very smooth and helpful. Explained everything and helped out as much as possible.

UWE Houses had very prompt and efficient communication. They rectified minor problems extremely quickly by sending their maintenance team round very swiftly.
Bills were very well managed by UWE Houses and the house was well warmed throughout the year.
Overall, the house is quite dated and could use a bit of a spruce up with a lick of paint. The kitchen tiles on the floor could do with replacing as well as the tiles in the ‘pig bathroom’ which are extremely hard to keep clean.

Stayed with uwe houses over 2 years in 2 separate houses. Overall they are a very good student housing company, they are reliable in all maintenance issues and the staff are very friendly. The room conditions have been very good and spacious. They have been constant in providing treats around holidays and helping to provide cleaning supplies before checkout. There are so many positives to staying with uwe houses and I wish they were supplying in post grad housing too.
There is little negatives about uwe houses but I will mention some. The application process for housing was very good and sorting out the putting together of suitable housemates has led to me making many friends. I will note an issue that a fellow tenant had when applying for housing, uwe houses had said it was an all girls house but in actual fact their was a male tenant in the starting house which the tenant did not find out about until moving in day. This wasn’t a problem thankfully however if the tenant was requiring an all girls house then this could have been very bad. In one houses there was a rather extensive garden that was required to be maintained by us the tenants. In reflection, a full garden needing maintenance is not the best thing for a student, I will also note that the gardening supplies were substantial. A mower and some garden shears were supplied to maintain everything however with a large-ish pear tree, garden shears are not suitable for maintaining what uwe houses wanted. Other than small maintenance issues but which had been resolved by the maintenance team speedily those were my main issues. Also wanted to give a massive thanks to Trevor and his team for helping with all the maintenance issues I’ve encountered over the 2 years I’ve stayed here. And a big thank you to uwe houses.

The team have been so helpful throughout the year. They have made the experience very pleasant and are always on hand to help with any maintenance problems!

UWEhouses are great landlords. They look after their tenants & houses really well. They reply quickly to requests & repairs. All their houses are very well maintained.

I feel sorry for any body who lives next to UWE houses, they house students.
My experience is I have lived next to one of UWE houses in fishponds Bristol, I had nothing but problems with on going student's who lived in the shared house , when I tried to explain to the director of UWE houses regarding noise complaints they did not listen and she was totally un responsive / un professional and quite rude with her patriotism and un helpful response, eventually it caused me so much anxiety and depression regarding the noise , I had to sell my house to a great expense - do not buy a home next to any UWE houses this was years 2021 I moved 2024

You could not ask for a better student housing company!!
I have rented with them and recently worked with the team and they're fabulous. They prioritise keeping rent prices as affordable as possible and always looking to support students needs to give them a comfortable home. Maintenance team are always on quick response, many properties are modern and well renovated and they're also located in areas close to shops and buses so you're well connected.

Compared to my previous experience especially, it's clear this team go beyond the port of call to deliver the best possible student living experience.

UWE houses staff are very accommodating! Had nothing but pleasurable experiences with them😊! Always made sure everything was at a great standard and recognised the houses cleaning when giving out the deposits. Was a pleasure being a tenant for 2 years.

Such a well run business that are very accommodating and professional. Uwe houses are very easy to contact and deal with maintenance issues very promptly. We lived with uwe houses for two years of university and would definetly reccomend them to upcoming students, it made our university experience very pleasant and I’m so grateful to them. Thank you

Probably the best student landlords in Bristol! Quick at any fixes for the house or things needed, and nice and friendly. Had a great tenancy with them as a uni student!

UWE houses consistently takes false charges and deductions from houses deposit and has done so for years based on the experiences of a number of their tenants. In many years of renting I have never come across such a thieving company as UWE houses, reprehensible considering the current cost of living crisis for poorer individuals such as students.

Furthermore, any requests for things to be fixed takes an excessively long amount of time. Anonymously, (to protect the individuals from UWE houses harassment), some experiences from various tenants:

One Tenant requested a repair for a shower that was not working, took weeks to get a shower fixed when asked,

One tenant had a dangerous drug dealer co-tenant creating an unsafe environment, UWE houses refused to act as "It would cost them too much".

One Multi-year tenant had charges for the cleaning of kitchin products that werent even in the house,

This business relies on people not standing up for themselves using legal routes, in order to take advantage of students and fraudulently take their money.

As can be seen on this reviews page, a number of completely unprofessional responses have been made by UWE houses,

I urge all tenants to contest any deposit charges with their deposit protection scheme ASAP and not to back down, and to avoid renting with UWE houses in the first place

UWE houses has returned deducted deposits without receiving consent from tenants, which is illegal. Something shady is happing

Another Ex-tenant had to take UWE houses to court over an attempted council tax charge for the period of a year, when the tenant was responsibe for only a period of a month. This was not the council making this mistake.

These guys have debt and it’s causing a lot of trouble. They need to face there position and realise there not above the Law.

Don’t trust a word they say is our advice.

They can resolve this easily by simply responding in a professional manner directly or via a known reputable firm of solicitors with a view to a full resolution.

THEY TOOK ADVANTAGE AND SAID PROVE IT!
WE GOT A SOLICITOR TO HELP BUT THEY IGNORED HIM. THEY BARRED OUR TEL NO AND EMAIL!
THEY SAID BACK OFF OR REGRET IT!
THEY STILL TO THIS DAY HAVE NEVER MADE AN OFFER TO SETTLE. THEY JUST LAUGH AT US.

Really good landlords, quick repairs and always friendly service. Highly recommended for students at UWE
