UX+ University met my expectations and more! I really like how engaging the whole program was and how it felt like I wasn't alone throughout the process. The instructor and the mentors were really amazing. I learned a lot from them and felt like I was given more direction than if I were studying UX alone. I've been equipped with the fundamentals and have a bit more confidence than before. I'm also really glad to have met my classmates here who really just inspire me to become a better designer.

I am part of the UXP1 and I can attest that this program prepared me well to transition as full-time product designer as a career shifter. It is not the typical bootcamp. The foundation of the community is built to have an open network and communication with its founders, mentors, and fellow designers even after you complete the program.

UX+ University helped me change careers into UX.

Their curicullum allowed me to learn UX, practice it by designing solutions from real world problems, and defend them through design critiques. I was confident when applying for UX roles because of the foundation UX+ has provided for me.

Not only that, the UX+ team and mentors check on you and help you out if you're struggling. Even if classes are remote, you'll never feel alone. On top of it, they run fireside chats and sessions with designers and researchers!!

Finally, they're partnered with different companies that specifically hire UX+ graduates on their openings. I should know, because I got an internship with a partner company.

UX+ University is truly the place to go to jumpstart your career in UX! If you're looking for a sign, this is it! The curriculum is jam-packed with challenging yet fulfilling activities. As a fresh grad, coming into the UX field felt a bit overwhelming and daunting as a student. But with the guidance of my peers and dedicated mentors, pursuing this path has made things a lot less intimidating. I am eternally grateful to have joined this supportive community because of how much you can learn from each other. The friends and mentors I've met here have not only helped me grow as a designer but also instilled new values as a person.

Before graduating from college (BS in Information Systems), I decided to apply to UX+ University. I want a school that can teach and guide me regarding UX/UI. Through this journey of 16-week Bootcamp, it was a fun experience! I was able to gain friends/connections, to know more about UX/UI, and guide me in landing my first UX/UI job.

My journey has been very difficult, I took two UI/UX classes in a span of two years, UX+ was the one that helped me land a job since this is where I learned the whole process from research to usability testing, as well as the basic fundamentals of visual design. Not only that it taught me these skill sets but it also improved my collaboration, public speaking, research, and communication skills. The mentors were also very helpful as they guide you into doing the right thing, and in this field, constructive and early feedback has always been valuable, which they provide all the time! The most important thing that I got from UX+ after graduating was the portfolio with real-life case studies as this helped me gain quite a lot of job interviews, and the knowledge I gained from the bootcamp gave me confidence with the interviews. It was a tough journey, but UX+ made it all happen in 4 months, I finally got the job that I wanted.

UX+ University is a pivotal instrument to get you a career in UX Design. The lessons and practical activities during the program have been substantial for me to learn about and apply the basic workflow in UX Design. Not only that, the community built through the founders, instructors, mentors, and classmates has helped me gain the confidence I need in navigating through my career. I also appreciate how they have continuously guided us to look for jobs and projects post-bootcamp.

I am one proud UX+ University graduate! I am glad that I became part of UXP2 as it helped me become more confident in designing for my users. The quick feedback from CSJ, the instructors, the mentors, and my classmates allowed me to continuously improve every week in just that span of 4 months. I am happy about my growth and I look forward to launching a product real soon!

My experience with UX+ University is a life changer. It felt like a skill that I unlocked and it helped me see things, see the world, and see process differently. As a designer, it opened my eyes to the things that I am not aware of before. Now I always seek for validations on design decision, I always ask "what would the user feel about it" and by that I meant, I ask that too before but after UX+ it's on a different level. It's more in-depth. The way UX+ let us experience the UX process and gave us a room for comfortable learning, made the learning and knowledge become solid and natural to us as designers. To this date I still review the notes I have from the program because it all makes sense.

UX+ University and its live classroom setup has primed me excellently in my transition to a UX Design role. It’s scheduled perfectly alongside my day job — with intensive weekly lessons, workshops, and homework to cultivate effective learning both as an individual and as a batch while having room & time to grow around the learning curves of the discipline with the help of dedicated mentors, feedback sessions, & career workshops all in 4 jam packed months.

The student’s goals post-UX+ Uni are very much attended to by the internal team & mentors, whether its to find a job, make an internal transition in their current company, create a hireable portfolio, get freelance work, land internships, etc. My personal goal of transitioning from Visual Designer to Product Designer was incredibly successful. UX+ Uni has helped me create a hireable portfolio composed of UX experience with the real client case studies that I worked in my 4-month stint. Along with my mentor’s guidance for interviews and job hunting strategy, I was able to land interviews in fintech, health tech, e-commerce, design agencies, HR tech, etc. while getting hired 1 week right after graduation day by a top Filipino tech company.

What will make this review 5/5 is the improvement for customer service at pre-selection/enrollment. I had a lot of questions before enrolling to ensure if my expectations for the bootcamp are aligned with the lessons offered, and schedule of classes have been pushed back abruptly post-enrollment and has affected my personal schedule of transition. The above scenarios could’ve been communicated earlier to help students align expectations.

More points of improvement:
- Have the mentor meet their mentees as a group first and lay the groundwork for mentees goals. Have a mandatory weekly & monthly check-in for accountability.

- Provide a feedback reception for group work. Teams shuffle almost every weekly & is very much affecting the quality of work and experience of students. It’d be great to have a safe space for dialogue in their team experiences and how it can be made more harmonious.

- Explore changing masterminds to accountability small groups with a set agenda so students can hold each other accountable for expected work and lift each other up through feedback and support.

- Set a more detailed weekly agenda right at the start of the week so students can adjust their weekly schedules, especially those who have other commitments.

- Provide time slots for office hours so students can prepare everything beforehand and attend at their schedule without also wasting mentors’ time and not knowing if there’ll be any students coming in.

- Allot an avenue for students to actively communicate with clients. It fosters stakeholder management and soft skills needed to be a true collaborator.

- Add a lesson about soft skills needed in UX Design.

I never thought that learning online can be so fun and interactive. I was able to learn more about the lectures by doing the projects with real clients and true-to-life problem assignments first-hand, with the guidance of our mentors inside the bootcamp.

UX+ University is a 16-week UX boot camp, and unlike my other courses, it is designed to help you prepare for a career as a UX designer. This course will hone your design thinking and problem-solving skills, while also teaching you how to apply them to the industry. I guarantee that once you've completed this intensive course, you'll be more than hirable—you'll be ready to innovate!

And if you want to exponentially grow your career, engage yourself in mentorship throughout the course. There are many available through UX+, and they are an incredible resource for students who want to learn more than the curriculum has to offer. Mentors and instructors can also help you find workshops or conferences in your area where you can practice your new skills and meet other UX professionals.

We also have capstone projects that allow students to use their knowledge of UX design on real-world problems from clients all over the world. It's an incredible way to expand your skill set!

UX+ University made the experience to switching to design such a enriching and fulfilling one. Not only did I learn strong fundamentals of user experience design, but I was also able to apply what I learned to real client projects and at my job.

UX+ really helped me transition to a career in UX Design. As a career shifter, I was provided with more than enough help I need to learn the fundamentals and to eventually apply the necessary skills. With just a month before graduation, I was already able to land my first job interview for a UX role. UX+ helped me achieve my goals of developing my confidence and preparing myself for future opportunities as a UX Designer.

Through UX+ University, I was able to practice my skills in not just designing but also in working with teams, presenting designs to key stakeholders, and justifying my design decisions which is just as important as the design itself. Much of the value and learning comes from the mentorship sessions, peer feedback sessions, and even just when I talk with my classmates for fun. I wouldn't grow this much, this fast in 16 weeks alone, and I can now more confidently say that I can do UX design.

More than just designing a screen

Joining UX+ University has been life-changing, and I'm not even exaggerating. I saw how 30 individuals grew from not knowing user personas and journeys, to confidently presenting seamless prototypes to multiple clients.

The course not only taught us the fundamentals of UX, but also the fundamentals of life. There are billions of problems in front of us and within us, all waiting to be defined. There are numerous of opportunities all waiting to be identified. There are countless of solutions that waiting to be tested. There are a lot of prototypes waiting to be validated. Finally, there are several versions waiting to be iterated - several better versions of yourself waiting.

It taught me life. What more can you ask for?

Being part of UX+ University was a very challenging journey for me yet also a memorable and great learning experience. I was able to connect with other people who were also new to UX as well, and together we have gained so much from our mentors and instructors. UX+ University taught me how to approach design challenges and build design solutions using user experience research methods, principles and materials.

Having mentors that you can approach anytime really helped. It would've been difficult to progress if it weren't for them. So, a message for the next batch and aspiring applicants is to get feedback on your work early and don't be afraid to make mistakes because that's what UX+ University is for.

I learned so much and felt that I grew exponentially in such a short amount of time and it was all thanks to the amazing community and environment UX+ University had. The instructors and mentors are absolutely amazing. They give you so much opportunities and resources and all you really have to do is grab them. Literally life changing.

UX+ University is a really great stepping stone for someone who wants to start a career in UX. Before joining the program, I was just taking various online courses and reading articles. There wasn't really any structure to my learning. UX+ was able to provide me this structure and so much more in order to streamline my learning. Now, I can confidently say that I can take on a full-time UX/UI design job!
