Fake website, cheap chinese products, not hand made
Website claims Madrid atelier, but my order shipped from Asia, arrived incomplete and looks nothing like the photos
On 15 September 2026 I ordered 4 large hampers/baskets for €207.84. The website says they have made baskets “from our atelier in Madrid” since 2006, and the product photos showed beautiful, high-quality baskets. That is why I bought from them.
The package arrived on 6 October, 21 days later, via the courier Ecoscooting. It contained only 1 basket and a cheap plastic shopping bag. The basket looks completely different from the photos on the site: it is a cheap, mass-produced item, not the quality product advertised. It has a “Made in China” sticker. The carrier label on the parcel shows a weight of 0.807 kg, far less than four large baskets would weigh.
I emailed the seller about the missing items, the origin and the quality. They didn’t address the missing baskets. They told me a return to China would cost me €20-30 and offered a 10% refund (€20.78) to close the matter.
I opened a PayPal dispute with photos of the label and the product, plus the email exchange. PayPal ruled in my favour and refunded me in full.
If you’re considering ordering: I found no company name, street address or phone number on the site, only an email address. Their terms say orders ship from an “international supplier” with a 7-10 day delivery time, not the 3-7 days on the homepage. Be careful, and pay with PayPal or a credit card so you can dispute the charge.
