Worst professional engagement we have…

Worst professional engagement we have experienced; not only in software development, but across project management, communication, governance, and ethics.

This engagement dragged on for years, marked by continuous delays, broken promises, shifting processes, and repeated breaches of signed agreements, despite all milestones being paid in advance in good faith.

Communication was consistently unprofessional and misleading. Timelines were promised and missed repeatedly. Assurances were given without substance. Issues raised by us were minimized, reinterpreted, or deferred, while new payment requests were introduced instead of accountability.

There was zero effective QA. Features that were previously demonstrated later appeared broken or missing. The delivered code was outdated, poorly structured, and dependent on hard-coded credentials and environments, making independent operation impossible without major rework.

From a product and creativity perspective, there was no innovation, no ownership, and no strategic thinking. The approach was purely mechanical. Any correction, improvement, or even basic professional standard was treated as an opportunity to request additional money, even when it related to already paid scope.

The most concerning aspect was the misuse and withholding of IP and access, despite signed IP and NDA agreements. Attempts were made to introduce new “sign-off” documents that contradicted existing contracts and sought to override prior rights and obligations. This was unacceptable and led to the termination of the working relationship.

Management responsibility cannot be ignored. Decisions appeared driven by materialistic motives rather than professional delivery, with repeated promises made and not honored. Internal reporting was inaccurate, and escalation did not lead to resolution.

The company operates and markets itself under different names, including ValueCoders and Vinove, but the practices and outcomes remain the same.

Due to the accumulation of breaches, delays, IP issues, and failed delivery, we have ended the engagement. Formal legal processes with strong evidence are now underway across jurisdictions.

This vendor may only be suitable for very small, simple tasks, but they should be avoided by all means for serious projects, IP-sensitive platforms, or long-term engagements.

We strongly advise others to learn from our experience and proceed with extreme caution.

These guys are scammers!!

These guys are scammers!!! They messaged me for weeks and weeks almost everyday pretending to care about my holiday etc and nagging me about when we can get started. I finally thought I’d try it and I spent a whole day going back and forth with Tinah Baals. When we got to the last set of course she told me I’d now need to pay with my own money for USDT which she never explained before signing me up and from then, I knew it was a scam. They waste your time and from what I can see they waste your money too. Ignore them!!! I knew it sounded too good to be true.
IGNORE!!! Especially Tinah Baals

Just terrible. Avoid.

Just terrible. Avoid.

In short, they overpromised and underdelivered.

I effectively became an outsourced product manager/project manager/design consultant and had to constantly manage them. I was promised 6 months and it took 18 months. On the flip side, if you have literally everything deigned to the last pixel and all the functionality you require itemised to a very high level of specification then it might be worth giving them a go, to save money.

Otherwise, avoid them because they can't do design, they can't do project management that good, and the system they have set up in terms of hierarchy means you will not get properly compensated for their oversights, cock-ups, BS, and incompetence. The execution was really sloppy and there was a large technical debt I inherited when they handed the software over. I would avoid them like the plague as they are unapologetic b*llshitters.

I had 3 project managers during the 18 months - 1 of them was good and communicated well and made life easier - the other 2 were not good at all and made life a lot, lot harder.

When they handed over the code they did not give me the most up-to-date version and therefore I lost 2 month's worth of time and money. Beyond a joke their unprofessionalism. They do not give a sh&t - if they had any integrity they would give me some £ back. I am still mopping up their mistakes now! I have put £000's of my time into this because of their level of incompetence and terrible attention to detail. They BS you and tell you they understand you when they don't. I despise them.
