I didn't know what to expect as this was my first time trying image augmentation, but I was pleasantly surprised. VanceAI was able to upsample and denoise some digital art and photographs extremely well. Very impressed with this AI solution.

Deceitful "free trial". I selected free trial and "bought" a small package of credits for $4.95. They ended up charging me $59.40 for an annual subscription. I tried the app and it did not do what it advertises it can do - repair old photos. I contacted VanceAI through support on their website. They refused to give me a refund. So BEWARE! Their product does not work and they are not a responsive company.

Shadows in particular were reproduced extremely well, with very little distortion.

This was my first try of AI for photo restoration. This AI did some things fine on its own, but with prompts it goes overboard in the wrong way. Started with a old highschool photo that had lost the color. AI did a good job with skin and hair, but distorted the necklace and mottled the shading on the blouse. Then I told the AI the blouse was brown and the necklace was gold. It came back with a brown-washed restoration. Skin, hair, background all brown-washed, and still distorted the necklace. Next I tried an old BW photo. The AI added more noise and spots onto the man's sport coat and distorted the faces. Also didn't do anything to balance the BW for color, saturation or contrast.

Very good background remover. Much better than what I can do with photoshop.

Top Dog AI Upscaler; definitely one of the best in the industry. You won't realize how blurry and lacking in details your photos were until you use their upscaler; I used 2X on Auto. But honestly even 4X was an incredible result. Doesn't just resize, but real upscale. Rocks, Grass, Snow, Water, Mountains, Trees, Clouds, Fog, Sand, Moss...anything you throw at it, it does great. So far I spoke strictly on photos, but that is all I have used the service for thus far. Not the cheapest service, but the quality is there and they mostly only charge on download which is always optional. Best value is either their monthly plan for 500 credits @ 25 USD or their lifetime plan 300/month credits @ 130 USD; a little tricky to find, you'll probably see the 200/month lifetime offer for same price. N.B. these are not cumulative credits unless you enroll in a monthly or yearly plan. Always make sure you have at least 5 credits so you can always preview whether it would be worth it or not. I believe they give 5 free credits per month which honestly should stack with subscription, but I don't believe it does. Credits are for online images services only. They are kind of missing an HDR image enhancer; their image enhance currently limited to upscale, deblur, sharpen, black and white to color. According to website pictures above 12000 pixels, you can't preview, but in practice it's about 5K. Doesn't matter how high you upscale, price is the same. Some pictures of about 5K inexplicably get big in size, up to 37MB as opposed to 1-3MB; not a big deal. Might I suggest 1/2 year deals @ 33% savings, and they ability to pause a month.

I had a terrible experience with Vanceai's customer service. Despite following their refund policy to the letter, my refund request was met with delays, system errors, and unhelpful responses.

System Errors:

My refund request ticket disappeared from their system after submission. When I contacted them, I was told inconsistent information about my account and credits that did not even show up on their platform.
Poor Communication:

Their customer service repeatedly avoided addressing the actual issue and sent generic responses. Even after providing evidence that their system was flawed, they continued to insist there were credits in my account, which is untrue.
Unprofessional Handling:

For a reputable brand, one would expect better handling of refund requests. Instead, they blamed system limitations for their inability to display credits and refused to acknowledge their mistakes.
I have had enough of the back-and-forth and will be disputing the payment through my bank. This company needs to seriously reconsider how they treat their customers and take accountability for system issues that waste their clients' time and money.

I cannot recommend their service to anyone and will ensure others are aware of this experience through social media and other review platforms.
