We were welcomed by the lovely staff and recieved refreshments during our wait, the staff were attentive and really warm! The photographer made our family shoot really memorable and it was a delightful experience. We received outstanding customer service from Stefan!! He was a delight and really helped with our photo selection. Thank you to the Vanity Studio team for a memorable day out with the family!

We had such a fun afternoon! Everyone we encountered was fantastic, talented and so friendly. Hair and make up was excellent and the photographer really spent time getting the shots just right. The only downside was that they were running late and we had to wait an hour before getting started.

I participated in a photoshoot several years ago. While the photoshoot itself was acceptable, I was particularly uncomfortable with the aggressive tactics used to persuade me to purchase the photographs. They claimed that if I did not buy the pictures immediately, I could not purchase them later, which exerted significant pressure on me. Consequently, I paid a considerable amount of money . I deeply regret spending money on it. Therefore, I advise you not to let them impose such tactics on you as well.

This review is for anyone considering purchasing a special voucher for a make-over photoshoot through Vanity Studios and is based on our experience in January 2026.
Let’s start with the positives: the people doing the make-overs and photography were friendly and the session was fun for our 11 year old girls. There are private areas to get changed and it was a relaxed atmosphere.
Here are things to be aware of:
You may not have your shoot in the place shown on the flyer. The place we were sent to had a very odd smell and the toilets were revolting.
You may have to travel to a different site to view your photos.
You will experience a VERY strong and pushy sales pitch.
Communication with the company is extremely difficult.
You may have to threaten legal action to get your ‘refundable’ deposit back, or to get any reply at all! I strongly advise you to use a credit card if you purchase one of these vouchers so you can make a claim to get your money back if needed.
Summary: The session was fun and the photos lovely but the environment was not pleasant. If you’re planning on spending lots of money, I’m sure they would treat you like royalty, but if not then you’re better off avoiding them. There are plenty of companies that treat all clients with good customer service regardless of how much you plan to spend. Overall I would not recommend.

I gifted a shoot to my parents in honour of their birthdays this year! My parents had previously used Vanity Studios for another shoot. But this was my first experience. I asked the studio if I could join my parents for a few pictures on the day and they were so accommodating.
The staff were all so welcoming and friendly. Really put me at ease from the moment I arrived. The receptionist even came to help me unload the car. There were plenty of tea, coffee and healthy refreshments available too throughout the day. The hair and makeup were so on point. They even do your nails for you if you haven’t already done them.
Our photographer Matteo was so good! Super talented and really spent a good amount of time getting individual shots, couple shots and then family shots with different backgrounds and poses. He made sure our hair, jewellery and outfits all looked perfect before taking the shots.
He was so enthusiastic and upbeat that it really helped us all feel comfortable. He took some amazing pictures!
Highly recommend Vanity Studios!

From him - We'd like to thank Vanity Studios for making our Valentine day a truly special day. From the moment we got to the studio and met the staff we were warmly greeted and receipted, all throughout our stay with you we were made to feel comfortable and vitalised throughout our experience, we haven't done anything like this before and we truly gave it our best effort from finding the right styles that we felt best reflected us to exploring more adventurous outfits ( the Black Panther and Nakia). It's funny given that we planned this almost 1 year ago wondering if we'd ever pull it off. I've got to say my lady blew me away in some of her stunning shoots and I guess that's what we take away from this experience seeing ourselves like we've never seen ourselves before and all the memories and the journey that got us here.
From her- James (aka Danny, I kept calling him jame lol ) the photographers talent behind the camera was honestly incredible. Not only did he take beautiful photos, but the way he guided us on how to stand and pose made a huge difference. He has a real gift for bringing out the very best that reflects in the final pics. His direction, eye for detail, and encouragement completely transformed the final result. He can make anyone look like a million dollars. He has true skill and artistry.
One of my man’s outfits were Bond-inspired, and James again lol, the photographer, truly gave him a real 007 moment. He captured the shot with such skill — full of mystery, confidence, and authenticity. My man looked magical. It came out incredibly striking and attractive, like a cinematic still rather than just a photo. The mood, the pose, the lighting — everything worked together perfectly. An absolute standout shot.
From us - We just want truly say. Thank you Vanity Studios. Take care and stay blessed 🙏🏾

Myself and my 3 daughters had a lovely afternoon at vanity studios.
When we arrived the studio was very busy. We were taken for hair and make up & Helen (make up) & Shalene (hair) were lovely & made us feel relaxed & treated.
We had to wait a while for our photo shot but when we went downstairs Erica was fantastic and made us feel relaxed and not rushed. We were at least an hour having our photos taken before heading up to Chevaughn who showed us through our photos. We weren’t pressurised and Chevaughn left is while we worked out what package we wanted to go for.
The girls loved the experience and we were all made to feel special.

I took my three daughters for their Christmas treat. We were looked after by all the friendly staff, the make up and hair girls were amazing. Our photographer made our day! He was full of ideas and put us completely at ease. The pics were truly amazing. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day.

After a 20-minute conversation with an extremely persistent (but friendly) salesperson on the street, I spent £79.99 on a promotional voucher for a photoshoot for myself and a friend.
The positives: Most of the staff we interacted with were friendly. My friend's hair was styled gorgeously. Our photographer was the highlight, as he clearly explained what was in store, gave us great guidance, and made us feel comfortable.
The negatives: On the day of the photoshoot, my friend and I were greeted and asked to sit down and wait (circa. 20-30 mins) without further explanation. This was the only time that we were offered a drink, despite the promise of complimentary prosecco (we eventually resorted to awkwardly serving ourselves in the kitchen). I was disappointed by the quality of the nail-painting, as my nail polish started to chip significantly the same day. I was also disappointed by the quality of the hair styling and felt that the makeup was cakey and just didn't feel like 'me' at all. When I vocalised my apprehension, I was reassured it wouldn't show on the end photos (alas, it did). Across all of the styling, our experience felt rushed and impersonal - generally, it felt like the stylists did not take much time to guide us or gather our preferences. Our photographer suggested a grey background for our photos, which we planned to use as corporate profile pictures, but the background showed up as black - a pretty intense and solemn vibe for LinkedIn.
The most egregious part was at the end, when we were taken to a room to view our photos. The costs of purchasing additional photos on top of the inclusive photo were exorbitant. A very eager and persistent staff member rapidly insisted that we purchase additional photos immediately - initially suggesting their cheapest package of around £350-400 (from memory). I've learned exactly how spineless I am, because I spent an extra £200 on THREE photos that I don't even like or intend to use anywhere. My regret was immediate (and non-refundable, of course). I'm an idiot.
It was unhelpful to find out only after purchase that we would have received a complimentary photo upon leaving a 5-star review on TrustPilot (could that explain some of the 5-star reviews here?).
I wish I could say that, despite not being happy with my photos, I at least had a fun time being girly with my friend. Instead, I just felt disappointed for most of its duration and supremely guilty for subjecting her to this experience.

The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, from the sales rep, bookings, hair and makeup, photographer to the final sales guy.
We had the first slot of the day, and this was great because we did not have to wait, but also did not feel rushed.
We had 120 photos taken of the three of us. A nice mix of singles, pairs and group.
Was a fun experience, with some nice family photos, however the cost of the packages are too expensive for the quality of the final product.

Vanity studios made us feel so comfortable from the minute we got there! We had a great time, laughing and feeling relaxed throughout! Really lovely team, especially the photographer Danny and Stephen who helped us pick our pictures without rushing us through

Vanity Studios is so lovely, welcoming and relaxed. We had a mother and daughter shoot and having never had this before, we enjoyed the experience. From nails, hair and makeup through to our photo shoot we enjoyed our whole time there. We didn’t feel rushed or pressured and we laughed which made the experience even more enjoyable. Thank you to everyone!

We were approached at Watford shopping mall to purchase a voucher for a photo shoot. I wasn’t interested but my daughter got really excited so we bought one. When I got home I read some very mixed reviews of Vanity and thought oh dear….
My daughter was very excited so I thought I’d give it a try. On top of the voucher you have to pay £150 to book your weekend session. (This is refundable if you stick to two individual photos). The day came and I was very sceptical. It was also a long way to go for us to get to Old Street in London. But from the minute we walked in I was relieved and put at ease. Every member of staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. My daughter who is quite an anxious person felt comfortable from the start and it was so lovely to see her interacting and enjoying herself with the staff and other customers.
It is a long day and expect some waiting around. The ladies doing hair and makeup were lovely. We had a wonderful makeup artist who did exactly what my daughter had asked for and she looked amazing. I don’t wear much makeup usually so was a bit out of my comfort zone but I really liked my mine. We had our hair and nails done and it was nice to have a pamper and we both felt fab.
The photographer Danny was patient, friendly and explained everything clearly. It is a faff changing into different outfits but it’s worth it. I was totally out of my comfort zone but you are put at ease.
You have about 100 photos to choose from and can pick different packages that you can pay monthly or on the spot. I didn’t find them pushy or impatient (which I read in other reviews) and they help you pick the best photos. It is expensive but they are running a business with staff to pay so you’re not going to them for free! You get snacks and drinks for free whilst you’re there and made to feel welcome.
Only negative would be the toilet facilities. Otherwise even though this was a long day it was so lovely to see my daughter feeling confident and comfortable with a big smile on her face and we’ve come away with some lovely photos and memories.

My friend and I did a photoshoot together as an early birthday present for us both. I was super nervous going in so I was really surprised by how good the pictures turned out to be! All credit goes to the team on set. The hair and makeup by Jenny and Alina, as well as the direction and photography by Matteo brought the pictures to life. The session was comfortable and fun. Chevaughn, who helped us review the photos afterwards was amazing at guiding us and helping us pick out the best shots. Truly one of the best experiences!
